Great comparison... I personally carry Shields and Hellcat Pro, I find the Pro to have one of the best out of the box feel in the hand... Shields tend to be slightly less snappy than the Pro, but that capacity and new 17 rd mags... Awesome.
I shot so many rounds through my hellcats and never had a malfunction. You ever try running the hellcat pro slide on-top of your original hellcat frame. With this you get the conceal-ability of the hellcat with the longer more shootable slide. Plus you can use 11,13 or 15 round mags. Got a vid on my channel showing this.
I like the Hellcat and I love the Hellcat Pro, but I just drool over my new Echelon! Took it to the range and it showed me it's at least as good as I am.
I ended up getting a hellcat (original micro) on an impulse buy. Just wanted a ccw w/ an optic on it and kinda liked it after checking it out when I hadn't ever really been all that interested. Ended up becoming my main edc pistol, it's the p365 Springfield version w/ better capacity and 13 and 15 round mags that were out before sig I think released theirs. Might be wrong, but I fell in love with the pistol and got it before the pro came out. I think the regular Springfield hellcat is very underrated. I think we're seeing the pro's popularity because the majority of gun owners prefer a slightly larger carry gun...but just my thoughts. I am similar to you with smaller carry guns but I'll go about g19 big. Plus, if you're after smaller guns the hellcat w/ a 15 round mag is hardier any larger than the 13 round which is still very concealable in a small package plus adds to the grip.
Great side by side comparisons. I got a hellcat pro bundle a little while back. I haven't shot it yet but once I break it in and know it runs I plan on using it as my main edc.
I have a TON of carry options even the market dominating p365 X macro comp, although I run an XL slide n barrel on it, and I still find myself carrying my hellcat pro 🤘
Hey thank you for all of your awesome videos. Would you consider looking into SLR +3 base plate for Glock 30. There are currently no videos on this and I’m curious if it’s effectively concealable as the SLR +5 for the 26. The website description says “For 9 round magazine/ will work with 10 round” not sure it it’s a typo
Good review.. I have been thinking about buying the Glock 48..The other day I looked at one and the grip was fantastic...And racking was so smooth...(I am a 80 plus year old at around 6' 4" and large hands....).
I appreciate that so much man, respect. Get one! They are versatile, compatible with so many other Glocks and use all double stack 9mm Glock mags. They have withstood the test of time. You love it! Respect
I liked the pro, but I found the Sig P366 xmacro comp to be better. Less recoil, better trigger, and feels better in my hands. Hellcat Pro is still a nice gun.
My summer and Soring carry is the original Hellcat OSP. during the winter and end of Fall, I bust out either my Glock 19, Canik SC Black or even my Glock 32 in 45 APC. When I am really crazy a Beretta 92 will find its place in my Winter rotation.
I've been IWB carrying a G19 and pocket carrying a shield 9 plus for a while now, I'm seriously considering picking up a hellcat pro bundle with the extra mags.
Just wanted to say,,, thanks to the internet, I hope everyone remembers that there is a sea of other citizens from all over the world that, like me, admire and appreciate the genius of the US founding fathers, in making all this possible.
I ran 200 rounds of Winchester 115gr Target/Range ammo thru my new Hellcat Pro and not only is it reliable so far, it seems to be very accurate. I really prefer it over my S&W9 Shield or my Ruger Max9.
I carry my shield plus today the holster is LAG the ammo I Carrry critical self-defense. I do carry the original hellcat with the exact same set up. I really like the LAG holsters they’re really comfortable and I have them for all my firearms.
I just picked up the hellcat pro kit came with five magazines a case for the gun, a range bag, half off of a laser, a speed loader, and a sticker to put on my truck for 569 before tax
@@spnfirearms It is a little snappy on the recoil, but overall a fair pistol. I think it’s a Glock killer. You get better quality for similar price. If anything, you get such a good gun that you’d be shocked it’s not more.
Hey SPN, what state do you live in? I want to gauge your carry rotation based on climate. I live in South Florida and it can be difficult to carry even the PRO on brutal summer days.
550 rounds through my hellcat pro with no malfunctions. I have had an issue with the slide not staying locked back after the last round. Could be my grip. The gun is very snappy but once I got my grip hold for this pistol I don’t notice it anymore.
If the Hellcat Pro were modular, I think it would be perfect. So I can change the grip module, I got it when it first came out and liked it, but the grip is a little small for me. It's somewhat uncomfortable for me to shoot because the trigger guard hurts my knuckle when I shoot it for too long , I can't really tell much of a difference between the Hellcat Pro and the regular Hellcat with the extended mag when it comes to recoil. I don't think the Hellcat or the Pro are as snappy as people say, at least not for me. However, when I shoot my P365 with the Wilson Combat XL grip and then immediately switch back to the Hellcat, I can clearly notice a significant difference. With the P365 and the Wilson Combat XL grip, I can shoot much better. So, I suppose the perfect pistol is the one that suits you best, feels comfortable in your hand, allows better control, and is more concealable if that's what you're looking for. This will vary for each individual wen it comes to the hellcat I've never experienced a malfunction with either of my Hellcats, be it the regular or the pro. The Hellcat Pro has seen more than 6k rounds without a single malfunction, while the regular Hellcat has seen over 3k rounds. Maybe I don't shoot it as much. Nonetheless, I haven't encountered any malfunctions with either one. the hellcat is impressive, to be honest
Really like the Hellcat Pro a lot. Not sure how well I'd be able to conceal it though. I shoot the regular Hellcat pretty well just not quite as tight as the Pro. I generally dislike mag extensions because of the wobble and possible pinch swapping magazines but it does conceal better. Currently my two carries are LCP Max and PPS M2. Love the M2 but kind of want to start using a red dot to help my aging eyes and would rather add to my collection rather than pay to get the slide cut for an optic on the M2.
@@SpyderWebbX all fine and dandy but this is about edc… which would you prefer to carry every single day for comfortability…? Also consider you can pocket carry the original and carry it on you while wearing shorts and sweats no problem

really, glock would not run it? Come on, I own several and do not recall a failure to feed in any of them. I am interested in this gun, it feels good in the hand and is very slim. I chose the Shield Plus over the Hellcat Pro. Before buying I tested 80% of the guns on the table at the range. Chose the Shield because I like having 10,13 or 15 rd mag
I meant to say defensive ammo my glock wouldn’t run*****
I’m a Glock man and I shot my boy’s Hellcat Pro with the dot and I admitted to him it’s a nice shooter not to snappy . It’s a good pistol 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Glocks suck
I had a similar experience. Good self defense tool.
