- The plaintiff says the defendant is his stepson and he sold him a car. He claims that after the defendant totaled the vehicle, he stopped paying for it, so he’s suing him to honor his commitment. The defendant says the car was junk anyway and claims he doesn’t owe his stepdad a thing.

That stepson's attitude of entitlement is disgusting. The stepdad has more patience than I would have and the parents need to stop the money train. This kid will only get worse.
@Jude Iz I think the money train has stopped now. The 21 year old boy will now have to step up and pay his bills, rent and everything else. No more money from home.

For example. A man being disabled and on disability while the woman works, is no different than when the woman is disabled and on disability while the man works.
But which ever is at home, should pitch in more at home while the other one is working.

Tomorrow isn’t promised to you.. I lost my Mom unexpectedly three years ago. His stepfather seems like a descent dude, but I wouldn’t let anyone or anything prevent from seeing my Mom!
@Tacy Merchant you did not pay attention to the stepfather, he said the boy was allowed to see his mother. The boy knew that he owed the stepfather and did not want to pay the loan off. The boy many never grow up and be a man he should be. He will stay the little boy as long as his relatives enable him to be dependent on others. The stepfather is a good man.

Right or wrong, that shouldn’t stop him from doing the right thing regarding his mom and stepfather. Regretting that he did not step up and do the right thing before it’s too late. I don’t believe he’s going to pay his stepfather even though he owes and should, but that still is no reason to not have a relationship with his mom was my point..
His mom can come see him.... apparently she doesn't want to see him either. He is the child... the effort should come from the parent

Never lend money that you need back, lend money you can give up, if it doesnt come back then it's fine... anything can happen to people, they may just simply not pay it back, or they can die...
EXACTLY! If someone needs money it's because they don't have it. I don't understand these people that expect repayment from people that didn't have money in the first place. I've helped friends out when they were in need. I knew that I wasn't getting that money back and that's okay. They have all told me they would pay me back (1 has paid me back a couple times which made my day because she always writes the nicest notes with her checks), but I never expect them to.
