Thanks guys i am glad you like it. I am one of the original Rialtos. Recorded in Musimakers Studios W. 57th St. NY, 1961. King Curtis's Band with his great Sax backed up the Group. Doug R.
Douglass be proud. They don't make them better than this great song plus a rolling falsetto. Grew up in Brooklyn and Queens during the day and thought I heard them all until I found this one. I used to shop Slim's Time Square Record Shop and I don't think he even had it. I sang with 4 other guys just for fun in the day and there's no better feeling than singing these songs. Thank God for You Tube or these sounds would be gone. Love this song, play it all the time.😎 Doo Wopp Forever!!!
My Dad Louis Ruiz sang lead on this song. I had seen on line where He is listed as Hector. That is incorrect. My dad wrote the the 2 songs. I just played him the songs and was over the moon. Now, I am trying a copy of the 45. Blessings to all and stay safe.
Ronnie you too :) Been enjoying this oh since I was about 3-5 yrs old I rem songs like this on the am radio wafting through summer night air- it must've been a great time for lovers to hear these beautiful voices!
I always did love doowop, Every since I was 16 I used to stay home and even in my twenties I used to stay Home and wait for Saturday night for them to play ,doowop, My sisters thought I was crazy just stay home on Saturday nights when nothing is like those songs it takes you way back. These are the most best Songs sung, And a just make your heart , Happy and these are songs for lovers. I'll never forget those days.
88.9 WJMJ plays oldies and done Doo Wop on Saturday nights Rock and Roll Revival Show with Mark Andrews. Find it on the internet or internet radio app. I don't think You'll be disappointed. 1320 WATR does a show 6-10 Sunday night. Jay Crawford and the Music Museum. He plays a good variety as well. God Bless!
I was Borne To Late....this was my area. Even as a kid growing up in the 70s and every time I heard a Doo- Wop song on the radio, it would stop me in my tracks to listen. I'm 58 now and it still hit me the same way as it did when I was a kid, I love it that much, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. 🎉
Thanks for the kind words. Originally group from the Bronx,NY. The song was on the CB Label and produced by Robert Scwaid & C. Clark. Unfortunately the day it was released President Kennedy was killed. We will reintroduce the Rialtos on future venues in Eastern Long Island, N.Y. Re: Patchogue Theatre of Performing Arts. Presently we use the name of "Somewhere In Time". Will keep your Doo Wop Fans Posted. AKA Dougie Doo Wop
Man that ending is completely devastating. I'm having trouble thinking of a song that ends like this. The flamingos I only have eyes is right with this one as I think of it. geeze.
I never heard this before... it is awesome. Don't see how I missed this. I'm from Philly, we had the ""Geator with the heater" Jerry Blavit I( I probably spelled the last name wrong, sorry) I listened to him all the time.
Cynthia's Channel sweetheart are you okay I didn't bother you that I you would tell me if I did wouldn't you I look forward to hearing from you my name is at so if you call me or text me okay I look forward to hearing from you
Their 45 on CB "Let Me In" is yet another example of over-looked genius......killer doo-wop & super hard to find. I've found one at a sale in the backwoods of Michigan no less.....you never know.
I can’t thank you enough kind sir for enlightening my ears to such beautiful melodies I hope this music is still around when I’m old and gray and slowly drifting away for my heart won’t go a stray

Market St, Philly around 1958 to 1963. I would go down to my fathers store with him and go to the back alley to listen to the Doo Wop groups harmonize. I never found out their names. I do remember that one group had a female manager.

Great lead. Beautiful music. Heartfelt and real. No disgusting lyrics or mysoginy. Please bring it back.
THe only "disgusting" thing is that he loved and lost--something that still happens every day.
Beautiful. Enough said.
