    Papaya seeds have always done me good! I love them. They are super bitter! But really, I feel like everything that is 'really good' for us, tastes strong or unpleasant in some way. It is those things though, that have all the healing power.😀

    I grew up in Zambia on a farm eating no end of these, had no idea the seeds were edible, wow 👍

    The fact that I have actually tried eating papaya seeds, wretchedly retching in a maritime kitchen, is a tribute to my love for Petrena!! How did you get started with something so exotic, Petrena? Did you have a papaya guru?

      Oh my gosh, you are such a star!!⭐ I love your description! 'Wretchedly retching'. So good!💫
      Actually, it began when I was leading volunteer projects deep in the jungles of Central and South America. My first project as a volunteer I took anti-malarial pills and I got 2 degree burns from the sun wearing SPF60. After that I decided I would find a better way and started researching. That lead to my discovery of papaya seeds and their incredible health benefits.😊

    Yes, i tried papaya seeds because my brother told me to., because i am diabetic and my toes are always numb. I have just started eating 10 to 20 seeds a week ago. I eat it together with peanuts to balance the taste. 😁 I think something is changing in my body. The numbness of my toes is becoming less , i don't feel always hungry, and I think I am looking younger 😜 . I am 59 though .😁

    I have been diagnosed with endometriosis and my cramps are really severe. Papaya seeds have helped me. Day two no cramps. Start slow though or you will have many bathrooms trips😅

      Can you please kindly explain how do you eat them ?

      @@leratochepape31 I eat them fresh. I put them in a small bowl with a lid and put it in the freezer and take six seeds every day first thing in the morning and chew it. I wash down with water. I can eat 10 seeds sometimes because they stick together. Just don't too much. You can start with five seeds every other day.

    Hi Petrena :-) Going to Africa (for the first time) for one week this coming Saturday. Will fly to the Ivory Coast, and will mostly be located in Abidjan + with a few trips out to the coast/beach. Now, i've already got my malaria treatment pills (Provaqomyl) which i should begin with on Thursday, but i'm tempted to try them Papaya seeds, and want to know if i should/could skip them pills, and go for the seeds instead?

    • @PetrenaSchell
      @PetrenaSchell  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh my gosh, I am so sorry I only seen this now. Your trip must have come and gone already.
      But, for future reference, I don't ever take anti-malarials. I using just do papaya seeds and Oregano oil. I did get Malaria one time in Africa, but that happened when I wasn't doing my papaya seeds and Oregano oil. I hope you had the most amazing trip!!

    If one dries the seeds do they retain their value.

    • @PetrenaSchell
      @PetrenaSchell  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes!! I have dried ones with me.😊

      Thanks for replying. I rinse the seeds, put them in an open container and put them into the freezer. When I use them some are dry and some are still moist. My concern was the possible loss of the nutritional value.

      That's swallowing, you must chew them

  • @clararomero4424

    Can I just swallow the seeds ?

    • @PetrenaSchell
      @PetrenaSchell  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would chew them, or you can dry them and grind them to a powder.

    • @yeapkumthim3050
      @yeapkumthim3050 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes
      U can. But the seeds will unlikely to be digested and so no benefit at all !

    • @yeapkumthim3050
      @yeapkumthim3050 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Chewing the seeds before swallowing will be more effective. To overcome the peppery and bitter taste, chew the seeds with some raisins.
