Thank you so so much for this video!! I have watched many videos before to try and save my formerly dying Calathea rattlesnake. They had all missed the key issue that i was facing which was a plastic pot and clay like soil which was not aerated. I didnt have all the things you put in your soil so i just used garden soil and excess cocopeat and used a mud pot. My calathea has turned around in a matter of daysss!! It’s only been a couple weeks and i have multiple new long leaves and more shoots on the way to turning into leaves. Thanks a tonn! I hate to see my plants dying and am so glad you did this video which has helped me save my baby ♥️♥️🙌

At 4.10 on this video u said 'we can use wood chips for the soil mix' but actually we should not use wood chips which we get for 'timber saw mill' bcoz when wood chips start decomposing it utilize all the nitrogen in soil which may be harmful for container plants so we should only use fresh chips a surface mulch👍🌿. ( Pls correct me if am wrong about it).💚

I purchased aglomiea plant 1 year before from a nursery .The plant is very much alive but the size of the leaf is very very small when compared to at the time of purchase.what is the problem? How can I rectify
I hv 6 snake plants of different varieties n all potted in garden soil mixed with bit bonemeal n vermicompost . But. Main thing is I water them once in a month n they r growing fine. But if u r a new grower then kindly go for clay pot . For potting soil add equal quantity each coal chunks, perlite, khangar / cinder /coarse sand mixed with bit bonemeal ,soil n rakh.
Mere calathea ki soil pe aur pot pe white fungus jaisa dikh raha hai. I had purchased it about 10 days back. Leaves are healthy but I have kept the plant on bathroom window sill because kuch videos mein bataya tha ki bahut humidity chahiye inko. What should I do? Winters shuru ho rahe hain, should i repot my plant?
Calathias love well drained soil n shade . Best is to keep in any open shady area n clay pot works best. For healthy plant feed liquid fertilizer once in a month. Water only when soil is 2 inches dry and keep in shade . To cure fungus problem in plant dilute some 1 tsp of turmeric in 1 liter water n apply in roots once in a month.For humidity you can mist some water every alternate day on leaves in the morning.
