Little more than 1,400 subscribers and Pat gets recognized by TH-cam!!
Ohhhh so close! Who’s ready to celebrate?!
So glad your mystery quilt is solved. It is such a beautiful quilt. Thank you for t a liking about the scrappy binding directions. Hope you have a lovely Sunday.
Good Morning Quilters don't forget to show Pat the love and hit that Thumbs UP, she really appreciates it
Your sleuthing skills were put to the test and you were victorious! Black check border- found. Origin of your beautiful quilt found, so that you can complete your documentation. 😊 I have a suggestion for your "background" guilt hanger - purchase a second rod, then get some rings or S hooks and some chain and make some extensions that allow you to drop your shorter display quilts down a little lower to give you the look you want behind you when filming and to enjoy as you work in your space. If you leave the chain longer it will offer you the opportunity to vary the height for different size quilts. Thanks for the inspiration!
Blue I love Blueberries 🫐
How fun! ❤ I didn't find you until 2014. So I missed this sew along. I was still learning and researching back then. In 2013, I discovered TH-cam! I looked up a design of a puff quilt for a friend and started watching Jenny Doan, then you, then Leah Day. My piecing started improving! I took up free motion quilting. I'm so thankful for all the things I've learned from watching your videos and reading your blogs and books! 🎉 Thankful for you!
No blue quilts but we grow the real deal. The crop is coming o n slowly but will be plentiful. Yum!
Definitely like the scrappy binding with more shorter length fabrics than fewer longer lengths.
🕵♀️🔎You are a TRUE quilting sleuth!🔍😂 Fantastic!
By the way I WISH you would reprint the blue on the back of "Lady of the Lake!" It made my heart ❤ sing!!🎶
I love the bookcase quilt. Very sophisticated.
The rainbow quilt is stunning too. I remember that one.
I love the colours in your mystery quilt. Glad you found out what it is.
Yay! More black plaid binding fabric! Sugar Blocks identification! Summer Memories progress! Scrappy binding even scrappier! Thread and spools hanging on the wall! So many wins today, thanks Pat!
Pat Sloan, Have you considered adding a second set of mounting brackets lower on the wall for your curtain rod so you can hang smaller quilts?
Love your Sugar Blocks quilt! It was nice to hear the name Amy Gibson - I followed along with two of her quilt tutorials way back in 2012 or 2013! Thank you for all of your tips and information -- you're amazing!
Hi Pat The fabric on the back of your ‘first’ quilt made me happy. Same fabric as my son’s crib set. He is 34. AHH. Of course my Mother and I made. Smile
That was interesting about the mystery quilt. It's so pretty. Reminds me I better get my quilts labeled.
So happy your mystery is solved. I would definitely sew along with you if you do a quilt with a similar pattern. That is a beautiful layout! Love the center!
Love how your Summer Picnic quilt is turning out. I am -- finally -- sewing block 16. So glad to move on because I love my blocks and can't wait to put it together tomorrow.
Love the mini quilt show!
Perhaps you could put another set of brackets lower, so you could use those brackets to hang the shorter quilts?
Thank you, and stay well!

I believe the bias black plaid will be perfect for your library quilt!
I love your research story!! 2013 was pretty young in my quilting story so I was no help but would love a QAL with that setting.
Your basket blocks are so pretty, and summery ❤️🤍💙! And I love the scrappy binding too🥰
Binding sucess! I eat blueberries most every day. My fave.
You are quite a great historian. Very impressed. I love the satisfaction of locating information when doing a deep dive on a research project. My mom would have loved the colors in your quilt. Glad you found the answers you were looking for. 🎉
Hi. While watching today, I was thinking that if you had a second curtain rod hung lower, but still above your head will give you a way to hang shorter quilts and cover the top of the boards.
Love your hiar cut! Nice summer cut 🤩
love the scrappy binding.
Oh I like the idea of a sew along with a middle block and then surrounding blocks!
Wonderful news finding the information on your quilt. I love your scrappy border on your Halloween quilt. Have a great day.
Great that you found the mystery quilt.. I'm always behind on videos. Love your enthusiasm. I need to get more organized.
Glad mystery was solved on the pretty quilt! I'm so glad you talked about scrappy binding today! That's my plan for the quilt I'm working on right now. The first and last time I used a scrappy binding I cut the pieces too long and I wasn't really fond of how it turned out. BUT your short pieces are so cute around your Halloween quilt! Thanks for the tip!
Love the basket quilt. I am making one to. They take a while to make. But will be beautiful done. Since I just finished a sew along. I can now work on the baskets. Mine is scrappy. Will post a few screenshots of n.
Oh my! The Mystery quilt is a show stopper! Absolutely love those fabrics and the block styles💕🧵
So excited you found more of the black and white checks in your stash!
me too!
Gmorning Pat love your quilt glad you figured out your other quilt is coming along really nice 😊
Love the quilts you showed. Also really like the top your wearing.
Good detective work!
like the scrappy bindings - have been doing more of those. Glad to see you found out about your quilt. Just finished piecing a blue quilt. It is waiting in line to be quilted. Right after the Williamsburg,
Love your "Mystery Solved" quilt. It's beautiful.
Love the binding!
I would do a Sugar Blocks’ SAL with you Pat; especially if you use that Star in the middle!
Love the spool and scissor quilt
Happy you found more plaid for binding!
Love seeing your quilts❤️
I'd love to see the rainbow quilt, I obviously didn't see that one when it was made but I love quilts with lots of color. I also really love your scrappy binding. I love to do that as well. It helps use up pieces that will always match the quilt. I don't generally go as small on the sections but it will look awesome on your Halloween wall hanging!
Might you be able to layer a couple of quilts behind you? It looks like you have a lower set of curtain rod holders back there. Your quilts are so beautiful.
Beautiful quilt , so glad you were able to track it down . I made a quilt with that fabric but had no fabric name or date to help you .
I'm so happy you solved the mystery of the quilt! Yesterday, I could only get back to 2015 in your archives. I was going to try to get back further today. I tried so many different "threads" yesterday to find it. I'm glad it's solved and you don't have to dwell on it anymore!!
I always do a scrappy binding! I just love the look! 😊
Can you hang a fabric extender from the curtain rod to lower the quilt so it’s top is in the field of your camera view and it doesn’t end prematurely?
Absolutely love your bookcase quilt! And last week my Granddaughter sent me a picture of one and asked me if I could make one for her, who knew??
Your bookcase quilt is beautiful! And I love your scrappy binding on the diagonal!,❤
You can always screw in another set of the rod holders lower so you have options for future hangings
I also made a quilt years ago with that paisley print in the Lady of the Lake quilt.
Pat to display shorter quilts behind u, u could put a cord through the sleeve on the back, with maybe a foot or two or whatever length on each side and tie those two to the rod, so the extra empty wall would be below the curtain rod and not at the bottom, play with it and see what u think for a shorter quilt if it hangs correct like that or not. Just a thought.
What I noticed about the basket blocks is that some have bowties at the top, while the rest all point in the same direction. I’d probably make 1/2 of each type.
Love your Halloween scrappy binding.
I'd love to do another one of your quilt a longs but your fabric range, if we can get it all, comes out later in the UK than the USA
you should show your Crush quilt in blue....beautiful
I'd like to see the whole rainbow quilt!
I would love to participate in aQAL of Sugar Blocks❤❤
So happy you solved your mystery! I have always wanted to do a scrappy binding but, it never seems to happen. Love it!
I bought the book to make the basket quilt but seeing the cut sizes and triangles I changed my mind. 😢. Your blocks look terrific but I will wait awhile to tackle this one.
I finished my 16 blocks last night for summer memories. So glad you identified your quilt! Amazing records you keep!
Love the scrappy binding in shorter sections. Looks fabulous! Love the Sugar Block quilt. For the basket quilt, have you considered a border with more blue in it? Love that quilt too!
me too Karla!! i was going for the same vibe as the book quilt on the baskets. I do have an alternate scenery fabric i'll look at
Please show the rainbow quilt!
The spools look great. I enjoy the quilting on that one.
Love your binding!
Could you put another set of curtain rod hangers at a lower level so that you could hang shorter quilts? We viewers don’t usually see the top of the quilt, so we wouldn’t see the gap between the lower rod and the ceiling.
That's what I was thinking.
Maybe.. i'd have to see what that looks like
Love the scrappy binding!!! Also hope you will list the mane of the quilt you hung up from the Fat Quarter Shop… (squares-cards?)
Got it!!! Thank you!!❤
Pat my landscape service said when your plant is done flowering to cut back for winter and will regrow in Spring.
❤❤❤
Listen to your channel almost daily. Question- what do you use to hang the Sugar blocks quilt on today?
thank you! it is a stand similar to this one amzn.to/3XFAOkV
Pat for that wall that you keep a quilt hanging on the curtain rod may I make a suggestion? Why don’t you add a second rod lower and more narrow that won’t show when you have a big quilt hanging but would be just the right size for a smaller Quilt. That way you can enjoy all of your quilt.
thanks for the idea. I don't really have any spot where i need that right now
@@PatSloan I’m sorry I wasn’t clear. And I certainly understand you do your sewing room the way you like as I do mine. And you do a lovely job. I just thought that if you put A second curtain rod, lower on the same wall then the smaller Quilt will hang lower and be right behind you when you film from that side of the table. It’s not requiring any more wall space than you already have, and it would be covered up when you have a large Quilt on that same wall. I really enjoy all your videos. Pat and I have learned so much in so many ways. Thank you.
👍❤️😊
🌼🌸🌻🌺💐
Did you finish your all blue quilt from a year or so ago?
Which quilt would that be? I made about 80 quilts last year
As I look at the Sweet Memories top, that floral border simply doesn't work. It looks like it belongs to a totally, completely different quilt altogether. I try very hard to not be negative, but that border, on screen at least, looks disjointed....it just doesn't work.
