Hey Guys ..if not topic then how about O.Dieng and some picks!!!! Kuminga and a pick you would have to think seriouly about because with Kuminga being out a long while that helps out this years tank and like you said throw in D.Sharpe as well...this years lottery pick/slot is beyond HUGE!!!!!!!!!!

The Thunder have zero salary filler. OKC turned down an offer of 1st rd pick for Kenrich Williams a couple yrs ago. They also consider Wiggins contract to have 1st rd value. So moving K.Williams, Wiggins, Topic & a 1st rd pick is like the Thunder parting w/ four 1st rd picks. Keep thinking Marks is gonna take Presti out for drinks, tell him how beautiful his prospects & draft picks are & Sam is gonna wake up the next morning w/ his mascara running, crying about how he was wined & dined by Sean & got stripped of his dignity

The way these young kids are playing in college. It doesn’t feel like top 2 for Flagg/Bailey or bust anymore. Obvious that’s ideal but Harper, Egor, Edgecombe all looking really good. Just need to make sure we’re in the top 5 of the draft.

Topic would have been a top 3 pick this year if it weren't for knee injury. He would be a steal

Was just saying about this trade the other day. We need a pg in this rebuild, a young European pg would thrive under Jordi!

OKC can guarantee a *good* pick. They own both the Miami and Philly picks this year-request a swap for the Houston or Knicks picks.

Try to get a 2nd and player if you can

Might prefer a player and a pick swap. Moving up from the Knicks pick to top 15 is better than a 2nd.

I think they want to keep CJ unless the deal is undeniable

Exactly right. The Nets are rebuilding and have traded veterans on expiring deals. The Nets will have a top-seven pick whether they trade him or not. Much is the luck of the lottery.
Cam Johnson is an excellent player who is in his prime and signed for two more years. There is no need for Brooklyn to trade him now.
The Nets have plenty of draft picks and starting this offseason they will have the most salary cap space.
They don't need more first-round picks that are protected and/or likely to fall in the 20's. They also don't need to tie up valuable salary cap space on role players.
However, the Nets' timeline is likely to begin drafting young players and trade/sign free agents over the next two seasons and really begin competing in earnest in 2026-27. Some teams are in win-now mode and Cam Johnson is very attractive in that he is:
      - One of the most efficient shooters/scorers in the NBA
      - Fits in well with other good players and is a good clubhouse guy
      - Is signed to an attractive contract for this and two more seasons
There is no other player available on the market that fits his profile. For example, Butler is 35 makes $52mil and wants a new deal. With the new CBA that is a tough deal to make for many teams.
So if teams are interested in adding Cam Johnson they should make their best offer. Priority is on (1) Attractive/unprotected draft picks, (2) Good young players on rookie deals, (3) salary filler players that are on expiring deals (ideally this year or perhaps next year).
I like the pod - but the importance of expanding salary cap room is not mentioned and it is critical to the rebuild. Easily as important as the draft picks.
If the Nets get an attractive overpay, they should take it. If they don't then they should keep Cam. Can trade him in the future or better still keep him to help mentor/develop the young players that the Nets will be bringing on board.

On the Warriors draft quality, Bob Meyers is like that music artist with hits when debuted. But the as time goes on the later albums aren't nearly as good.
    Dunleavy unproven.

Cam to OKC, Sharpe to LA for their remaining 2nds.

Horrible Pistons takes... They are over .500, won 5 in a row, and 9 of their last 11 games and definitely not tanking the season.

@@LIJerseyBrooklyn Wiggins + Dieng = $15.5 mil in salary. It seems that Oklahoma needs another ~$10mil for salary match. Problem is that Wiggins and Joe are signed for longer than Marks wants. Not really excited about the potential placement of many of Oklahoma's future draft picks (many protections). Don't be fooled by Dieng's draft position. He has been a disappointment. Would push for Topic as he's a quality longer-term piece unavailable for the upcoming playoffs. CJ helps the Thunder win now.

@@NDTD-je8wl Wiggins(age 26) is making 10 mil this season on a descending contract. He would be a good piece to keep because of his age and talent. I can see Isaiah Joe being added to the deal but as salary filler or a player flip to another team. Isaiah Joe (age 28) and contract 10 mil a year for the next three seasons. Doesn't fit into our timeline. Dieng is just salary Filler. OKC isn't giving up Topic for Cam Johnson. I just can't see it

Ousmane Dieng & Dillon Jones are the only players they would want to trade for CJ
