- This video takes a look at gameplay with Super Sonic in LEGO Dimensions. #Sonic #LEGODimensions You can transform into Super Sonic after completing the level pack. You need to fill up the meter on the top left of the screen by collecting studs in order to transform into Super Sonic. You can remain Super Sonic as long as you keep collecting studs/rings to keep the meter partially full. Alright, that's it, I think I'm actually in love with the Sonic the Hedgehog World in Lego Dimensions. The line where Knuckles starts singing Unkown from M.E. and the references to Sonic R and Sonic CD are what really got me. This is amazing, and it's combinging my two favorite childhood things into one. Lego and Sonic.
*Edit:* And I just noticed that the hearts are Extra life boxes! My god this is amazing.
One thing though, aside from using Knuckles Theme Unkown from M.E. when you interact with him, why aren't they using the original Sonic soundtrack? They try to make it sound like the Original Sonic Soundtrack but it isn't, it's just similar, but to me it just sounds wrong.
I know this is old but for whatever reason they couldn’t get the rights to music from Sonic 1-3&K so they composed tracks that sounded like them. They do use tracks from the Adventure games and Sonic 4 Episodes 1&2 though.

Wait so Green Hill's theme could be used in a mobile runner game, but not a console game?
The rights to the Green Hill Zone theme (and every song from Sonic 1 and 2) belong to the composer, so whenever Sega uses one of them, they have to pay royalties. It's likely they either didn't have time to contact the composer or it wasn't in the budget.

Ethan Paurice Almost every other universe featured in Lego Dimensions has their original soundtracks, and even the Sonic series has the original versions of the Dreamcast-era songs in the game.
If they were able to, they would undoubtedly have had the original Genesis songs instead.
It doesn't bother me all that much, I'm just glad Sonic is in the game at all
