I absolutely adore this hub world. In my opinion, this is how a Sonic hub world should be. I love the ones in Unleashed and Adventure 1, but this one is small and confined while keeping a sense of freedom and exploration, it has interesting set pieces and lastly, each area looks distinctive and gorgeous. This feels like Sonic's world. Also, seeing Lava Reef, Aquatic Ruin, Ice Cap and Hidden Palace brings a sense of joy and happiness in my eyes.
This is precisely why I love Lego Dimensions so much. Each franchise is treated with so much respect and care it's hard not to love every aspect of it. I watched the Gremlins World gameplay and it's full of references to the movies. If there's one thing I can say about Lego games, it's that they know how to treat the source material.
I really like how Amy is portrayed in this game. I love how she actually tries to prove that she can be independent. She's a good mix of BoomAmy and ModernAmy. Her outfit is really cute as well, I wanna see it in an actual sonic game!

I think the perfect sonic game would be: a hub world were you can explore, you can find goodies like ring boxes, elemental shield etc, with rings you can buy stuff in the store like outfits or updates to make sonic faster like in unleashed, in the hub world sonic would controle like in the adventure games with more additions like the drop dash. exploring the hub world won’t only reward you with upgrades or goodies it also rewards you with amazing boost stages, the boost stages are built like the ones in unleashed and sonic controlling like generations sonic, completing boost stages will reward you with updates for sonic, ring and expanding the hub world. Badniks and bosses can randomly appear in the hub world and will attack you, defeat them and you will be rewarded. To all of this add a Great story, twists, a beautiful soundtrack and I understand that this could be one of the greatest sonic games of all time Now that I think about it this sound like sonic frontiers.

Is it bad that I think that how the Sonic characters are written in this pack is better than how the characters have been written in the past 6 to 10 years. (Especially Shadow)
Sonic Generations plot was bare bones and basic as you could get. I honestly didn't care for the story for that game. The last good story we got in a Sonic game for me would Unleashed, but the thing about that game is that it didn't feature majority of the characters. Just Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Eggman. Sonic 06 had majority of the characters but none of them were implemented well. Black Knight had a good story, but you couldn't really call it a main Sonic game. So to me, the characters as a WHOLE haven't been written well in the past 6 to 10 years in my opinion.

I really liked the way they wrote Shadow here. He isn't being an edgy brooding loner like he was in most games. He even shows a soft side wanting to pick flowers for Maria as Maria loved to beauty of Earth even though she never got to visit it. However I still don't like Kirk Thornton as Shadow. He still sucks imo.
I agree on how Shadow's portrayed here, I respect your opinion about Kirk Thornton, but you have to admit he improved here in this direction. I think he should voice Shadow in a smoother tone like he did with Jin from Samurai Champloo.

I really liked the way they wrote Shadow here. He isn't being an edgy brooding loner like he was in most games. He even shows a soft side wanting to pick flowers for Maria as Maria loved to beauty of Earth even though she never got to visit it. However I still don't like Kirk Thornton as Shadow. He still sucks imo.
I agree on how Shadow's portrayed here, I respect your opinion about Kirk Thornton, but you have to admit he improved here in this direction. I think he should voice Shadow in a smoother tone like he did with Jin from Samurai Champloo.
