  • 2010 BMW 128i N51, Y Pipe in place for muffler (single in, 2 out) and resonator (2 in, single out). Vehicle is stock regarding performance besides the exhaust. Does drone at 2-2.5k RPMs, but I do not mind it. All video shot on iPhone 7 and iPhone X. Stunts performed on private roads. Thread: www.1addicts.c...

    For all who are now finding this video: After this, I deleted the secondary cats. And then I got catless headers... which can be seen in the fly by video. Muffler and res delete was perfect for daily, very similar loudness to an M4. Secondary cats made things crackle more and catless headers full straight pipe was so obnoxious and great.
    The car was TBoned by some dumbass and was totaled. I have since acquired a new Q50 AWD for a daily and a project Z3 2.8. Thinking of making a channel with some of my friends to share our cars. Thanks again for watching.

    does the burble happen naturally or did you tune it at all?

      Richard N no tune, just slightly rest your foot on the gas when you let off at high rpm. This is video is back when i still had secondary cats. I dont have those anymore and soon i will get full, catless straightpipe. It crackles like a mf now and after headers it should shoot flames

      Richard N if you can handle a lil drone, remove resonator and secondary cats. Whole new beast!!

    You’ll get way more distinct and loud crackles with a secondary resonator delete

    I have a sulev also but and I wanted to do the same thing. Does this void the sulev warranty for just muffler and resonator delete ? Thanks love the sound

      Ares Voltron from what I have read, no. Some people on forums say that too. It depends on which dealer really, but technically the dealer will cover it as long as the mods do not directly affect the issue. For example, some guy had headers and his coils were covered.

    I do a lot of highway driving and use my 128i as my daily. Do you think the muffler and resonator delete would get too obnoxious? I was thinking of just deleting the muffler but I hear there isn't much of a difference.

      Burro with this setup if i remember correctly there was some drone. Not too bad, but it was there. Nowadays, the drone is pretty obnoxious with my secondary cat delete too. If you don’t want drone at all, keep either the resonator or the muffler. For me, the resonator delete made more of a difference in tone than the muffler delete. I don’t do a lot of highway driving, but if i did i would probably put on a muffler.

    Doing a muffler and resonator delete is it ok to leave it free without any pipes I got the same car ?

    • @smear7331
      @smear7331  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      J. Trel don’t recommend it, all heat from exhaust needs to be guided out from under the car. Decent exhaust shop will do a muffler and res delete for $50-100
