  • The next car is a 2008 BMW 128i with a 6 speed manual transmission. It's all stock and so I bought it with bad tires. Perfect time to change the tires, but might as well change the wheels as well. I chose the Style 313 wheels that came with a 135is because the E82 has a unique offset that would require significantly sized spacers. I believe most BMWs are closer to the 20-30 offset range, but the E82 is in the 40-50s. I paired it with the Firehawk Indy 500 summer tires because of the price and how aggressive it looked. I used to have an E46 with those tires, but I sold it before I had the chance to take it for a spin in the mountains.
The muffler delete is honestly a great idea hahaha. It does not sound ricey, but I think that has to do with the BMW inline 6. It's similar to the E36 and E46 muffler delete, but it is definitely not as loud. Greatest of all, there's no drone that I experienced so far.

keep the old muffler. Put it back when you sell the car, you will get more money for it. Not everyone interests in muffler delete, and you will get less potential buyers if you remove it. I am having hard time selling cars with mods. Without mods, won't be an issue.

M-sport but none of the M-sport exterior…? How does that work? Wasn’t that all one option package? Honestly not sure.

The 2008 and 2009 years they called it the “sport package” 2010 was the first year of the “M-Sport Package” which gave you the same bumpers from the European and 135i cars for the 08-09 they upgraded the suspension and interior without any of the exterior parts

I did a muffler delete on my 128i sometime around january, and only about a month ago it started popping and burbling. After the wait its well worth it haha.

@@veldmannn yeah mine pops real good around 2.8k-3.5k almost every time i let off. Burbles pretty much everytime, So satisfying. What engine does the 125i have? Is it the n52 or is it slightly smaller displacement?

Hey dude I live in SF, what other mods have you done to your 128i? I also have a 128i and stumbled across your vids and I ride!

CBW0314 nice! Just this stuff right here and a cheap lip spoiler. I think BMW usually has it right in terms of engine/suspension performance so I usually don’t dabble into anything there.

I sold the car a while back, but while I had it I would say the engine was healthy for sure, but it was more temperamental than the other cars I’ve had. Idle would randomly be weird, a shop said that there was excess carbon build up, another said it was just the ignition coil. After that experience, I would just stick to the pre ‘05 BMWs, and I would especially stay away from the 135, 335 hahaha I just don’t have the mechanical expertise (or $$$ to pay someone who does) to keep up with it.

@@b.ba.bakana were there any vacuum lines you had to deal with when you cut the muffler off?
      Thanks for your time!
