I purchased our JD 1025 R in the fall of 2023 it has the front loader and backhoe that I purchased as well, I have over 200 hours on the unit. I don't have anything to complain about with this compact tractor. It has done with the tasks that I have done on our property from moving wood, dirt, rock and other tasks. The backhoe has done well with each job that I have done well with it digging drainage ditches .

A you use that bucket for playing a paved driveway? Or would that run risk of damaging driveway and the bucket?

Wish they would come out with a 3 speed transmission for the 1025 R.

Have a 2019 purchased new in mid-2020. The negatives: Somewhere around 200 hours, but the hour meter started resetting itself sometime after the tach quit working at high rpm. While I'm not a heavy user, I've also had the hood latch fail (JB Weld works great for that) and had to replace the fuel tank metal sleeve (almost time to do it again) due to rust. As for the tach, mowing and pto cultivating are at full throttle or close to it, so that's not a big deal. Having the hour meter out of wack means I'll never get to sell it down the road at a reasonable price. The other two I consider noise, but irritating. And WHY can't they give these things a real ignition key??? Anyone can get them from Amazon for pete's sake.
As far as usability, it's great. A true Swiss Army knife, but in green.

I’d much rather have a Kubota. Better price point and made with metal and not plastic

Until the brakes go and they charge $4000 for new brakes.

One winter I used mine to plow snow on my current house's concrete driveway. (Wisconsin ) It sometimes left a scrape mark on the concrete that becomes visible once all the snow melts. So I bought a walk behind 5hp snowthrower and that works the best.
That front bucket works great removing snow though, especially in unison with a grading blade I have on the 3 point hitch. The back blade gives excellent traction AS WELL as counter balance to the front bucket when it has a load.
Our previous house had a blacktop driveway and I never saw a mark left by the front bucket.
      A good little tractor.

DO NOT BUY JD PARTS MADE IN CHINA!!!!! After a year parts are falling off due to not tightened right at the factory. JD uses Kubota tranny now. Height limiter on the 60" belly mower will wear out due to cheap extruded aluminum. My 2005 JD 2210 was built MUCH better and lasted 18 years. This one is a little over a year old and falling apart. JD does NOT care and will not warranty anything past 1 year.

The transmission is designed and built by JD in South Carolina. I have a 6yr warranty on my JD. take your misinformation somewhere else.

I'm sorry but everything you stated is entirely false. Deere builds the transmission and offers a 6 year standard powertrain warranty, as well as a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty. These both cover "manufacturers defect". They do not cover misuse or operators error. The height adjustment limiter if ever worn out, is due to the operator not completely raising the mower deck up entirely, before rotating the dial. Hope this helps, take care
