Not exactly a 100% my idea but I want Killer Moth to get The Spot treatment from ATSV. Having him start off as the laughable villain that no one takes seriously and slowly transform into the dread of Gotham could be an awesome thing to experience as an audience. One idea that is mine though is that in this scenario, as Killer Moth becomes more deadly, he would eventually become/adopt the persona of Prometheus. The transformation of "the moth to the flame" to the bringer of fire itself could be a cool element that would add to his transition into the more sinister and powerful.

Killer Moth needs a redemption arc. Imagine how great it would be if he kept on sucking at being a villain and decided to try being a superhero instead. At first he'd be motivated for the wrong reasons like gaining popularity and feeling self-righteous, but as the story goes on he'd learn to become a hero for the right reasons. As he becomes more selfless and motivated to save people, he actually starts training seriously and becomes more competent. I don't think he should become a martial arts prodigy that can rival Batman or even Robin, but someone who could beat the average person in a fight. I think it would be really cool to see him going from fighting petty crooks to more serious villains and him getting in over his head. He could either continue training and become more competent at becoming a hero OR he could realize that there are other ways of helping people that don't involve masking up and fighting crime. Maybe he realizes that he's not cut out for fighting and realizes he's best suited for protecting and saving civilians in situations where heroes and villains are fighting and there is a lot of collateral damage. I think that would be a really cool way to innovate the character

Honestly, I can see The Misfits coming back. Like they're still the goofy idiots, but now they have the Calendar Man who is a no-joke serial killer. I think it would be hilarious to have three guys who just want to make a quick buck and be taken seriously, all while dealing with the psychotic murderer that they're all terrified of but know how to manipulate to their gain.
I think Killer Moth could be a really fun character if he was rebooted into a thief who specializes in that idea of extorting and robbing other villains and being a false Batman, but actually being good and sly about it. The Moth that follows the light (The Batsignal) The Moth that eats a hole in your pocket. If you don't appease him, he'll steal what you've stolen while you're busy fighting Batman. I could easily see a funny arc in which the Bat family begin to think he's some sort of mystery kingpin, while the villains think he's the criminal mastermind controlling the Bat family to seize control of Gotham.

In his first story he's a genuine threat who almost kills Robin, but in the end he's beaten by Batman and falls off Gotham Bridge In the second story word of his defeat by Batman humiliates him to the point that nobody wants to hire him, and by the end of the story Batman and Robin deduce that Cameron Van Cleer is Killer Moth, meaning that the wealth and secret idenity that shielded him is forfeit. In the final story Killer Moth learns that Batman's Bruce Wayne and makes a deal with a mobster to sell him the info, but the entire time this mobster doubts that he can trust Killer Moth. In the end which the larva hits the fan and Killer Moth is forced to run for his life that very mobster blasts him in the head. In the end he has to be rushed to the hospital by Batman and Bobin, and while his life is saved, the bullet made him lose his memory on who Batman really was. Goodness, with a showing like that, it's no wonder he so quickly became a joke villain in the modern era

i met killer moth through the lego batman videogame too, and vibes with him but never saw him again. i do have a vague memory of seeing him in one of those dc animated shows made for kids (dcsuperhero girls, i think), but my favorite version of him is in teen titans 2003. although they killed his colorful vibe, i love his motives and his voice and personality, and how he has a daughter because why not. someday, I'll cosplay as killer moth just because.

As a long time fan of the Kamen Rider series I've always been a fan of bug-themed heroes and villains. Killer moth has some truly great designs.
