      Earlier in his career, it was pretty weak when you look at team records. However, in 2018, I think the comp was actually decently strong. Not 2000s west strong, but it was pretty good.
      I think people say the east was weak in 2018 was because of the aforementioned early career east, because no other team could even build credibility because Lebron destroyed them so much, and there is a loud minority who just want to shit on all his accomplishments

      It IS "absolutely ridiculous".... it just isn't goat-worthy.
      If it were, then 2023 Joker is "goat-worthy', too - and now were just muddying the criteria of what amounts to 'goat-worthy' by looking for things besides 3-peats , or never losing more than 2 games in a row for 7 consecutive seasons. "The Goat" is by definition an _exclusive_ title, and can never be inclusive.

    • @FoulTarnished47
      @FoulTarnished47 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@shaft9000 your right, it isn't "goat worthy" on its own, just like no single achievement in basketball history is.
      Obviously something like a 3-peat is a much more important achievement than a single good playoff run, that's an obvious and redundant stance to take.
      That playoff run is just a single drop in the glass of achievements LeBron has. That's like saying when you're arguing how good Jordan is you can't bring up the 63 against the Celtics, or when you're arguing for how good Kobe was you can't mention his 81! 😭

      The NBA would probably assassinate anyone who wanted to come forward, but I still think it will happen. It's not just dicks like Arod, Jose Canseco, or Barry Bonds, but also fan favorites like Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa.
      I think the Steroid scandal hurt Baseball so badly, that no other league will ever try to clean up their league, because that means they will have to name names and hurt the legacy of the sport.
      And what constitutes an unfair advantage anyway? I'd say in BBall, it's more about the illegal carries, travels, flopping, and moving screens that aren't called ever.
