The reason Smokey told Craig’s girlfriend that he was in the house with Debbie because he wanted his girlfriend to catch him & break up with him since she was crazy. It wasn’t to be a bad friend he just knew Craig wanted to be with Debbie (Nia Long).
I don’t know if u saw it in beginning but Ezell was the one running down the street with the boxes in his hand. He stole them from Craig’s job and they thought it was Craig that did it 🤷🏽♀️

The neighbor Stanley left his window open, because in many inner-cities with crime concerns, residents have bars on their windows. Deebo had the knife for the bars not the window, so Stanley should have been fine leaving his window open 3. Yes, this is where the "Bye Felicia" meme originated 4. When Smokey grabbed Craig's sister's arm on the porch & went into a Spanish accent, he was impersonating & quoting a famous line from Al Pacino in Scarface

I love this movie style. It was just a day in the hood lol The storytelling and acting is amazing and even though the budget was small they raked in 27 million.

This was my neighborhood for real back in the day. We had a DeBo, big worm crackheads walking down the street, gang shootings. This is a classic movie. True to life.
I’ve seen this movie so many times when I was younger but as an adult I had my first ‘trip’ off weed when I got to LA and I immediately thought of Craig’s tweaking scenes 😂 This movie definitely launched a lot of careers, helped build careers, and it was never expected to be as big as it was. The studio didn’t give it a great budget, a lot of the stars (that are still alive, sadly many have passed) talk about how little they were paid in comparison to what jobs paid them later but they were grateful for the job.
The fact that the middle guy said PCP is cocaine tells me without a doubt that he definitely didn't fall in the wrong crowd growing up because that's the most like innocent and ignorant thing I've ever heard an adult say. First time watcher and this was a great reaction! This is a culturally classic movie that is still quotable to this day!! There are definitely some cultural things relevant to growing up in South Central during the 90s but I think that's what makes it a good movie. You have other movies that came out during this time like Boyz in the Hood and Menace to Society that are amazing movies but also very sad, Friday is great because it shows the reality of growing up during this time and adds in the humor.

Friday is one of the greatest buddy stoner comedy movies of all time due to it's witty and clever dialogue and humor, emotional resonance, and performance's by the cast. Ice Cube and Chris Tucker did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Craig and Smokey as they both put tons of emotion and depth into their roles. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍😎💯👍

Ice Cube and Chris Tucker did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Craig and Smokey as they both put tons of emotion and depth into their roles. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍😎💯👍
It’s a. Undying stoner movie. There is only 3 scenes of 1 character smoking weed. This is a black American neighborhood and family classic. This movie is made by black people for black people. Every single joke in this movie is directed towards the black experience in America. Stop being disrespectful.
It isn't a stoner movie. It is a black piece of life hood story. Classic hood story that didn't show Black people in a negative light and how the hood isn't always drama.
This is by far my favourite of the Hood movies. I love the genre but few have the heart and feel of this one.
