Jaby's enjoying Black cinema. It reminds me of growing up in Brooklyn. There's the guy who steals everything, the bully, people sitting on their porch watching everything...it's a very common thing in working class Black communities.

I feel bad for every single woman in the world named Felicia, because they are as tormented by this movie as people from Kansas are with The Wizard Of Oz.😂
Not everyone is called a Karen but if your name is Felicia, for a while there NO one would just say bye, it's always "bye Felicia".. every... single... time. Trust me on that one.
Growing up in the hood especially South Central Los Angeles in the '80s and '90s We didn't stay in the house too much watching TV cuz we had tons of entertainment right outside That's why this movie was so realistic to a lot of people because that exactly what the f*** we experience in one day just sitting outside You will see the most craziest s*** that you ever see in your life
I was 15 years old when I saw this in theaters ( opening weekend, spring break ‘95) to a packed(all black), absolutely bonkers crowd and we laughed our asses off!
This is one of the funniest reactions to a film I've seen. Your laughter was so contagious. There's no feeling like introducing somsone to a favorite film. Great job, both of you!
Call me crazy but I think I started that trend how they say it back in 2014 because I watched Friday years before that and ion think I ever seen someone used the bye Felecia meme on tv or social media before or people really did got that from the movie back in the 90s
A hood classic! I grew up with this and Don't Be A Menace. I still regularly quote this movie to this day. Funny thing is I was just watching Reel Rejects and BOOM, you uploaded this, hahaha
Ice Cube's had a lot of fun movies! I remember seeing somewhere in an interview that the reason why he made Friday was because he didn't want everybody to think growing up in their neighborhood was like Boyz in the Hood all the time. So he made Friday to show more of the good times and funnier times they grew up having. Then he made "Are We There Yet" (which is another good one you guys should check out if you haven't already) for a more younger audience because he didn't want kids coming up to him quoting certain things from the Friday movies. The other Friday movies are good but not like the first one. I personally like the 2nd one the least and the 3rd one is a pretty funny Christmas themed movie.
Definitely do the other two Friday movies! Also not only was Chris Tucker in some Michael Jackson videos but they were good friends. Chris Tucker movie debut was in House Party 3….. You should definitely watch House Party 1-4.
Jaby laughing this hard is so great its always nice to see people enjoying old black centered films Friday is definitely a gem in the film world in my opinion.
I've been smoking weed for 35 yrs now and believe me, some of the best weed I smoked was in the mid 90's. I would smoke a little pinner and get wrecked for 4hrs, I watched a whole western movie once just starring at my desk. Ahh those were the good ol days.
This movie depicts a lot of what happens in black neighborhoods. I grew up playing outside and seeing my neighbors sitting on their porches, watching what all is going on. Now I do it, at 40. I walk across the road and talk to one of my friends that lives in the houses next to my complex. Other people near me sit outside as well, some old, some young. If you go down to the corner stores at the corner, you see people hanging out, loitering basically. If you go in, there are neighbors talking to the cashiers like they know each other. If youre (un)lucky, you will catch someone speeding from the police.. or maybe a fight happens. Thats just everyday living in the hood.
I'm pretty sure you didn't get the "Zeus" middle name for Tiny Lister in the credits. Back in 1989 Tiny Lister had a small stint with the WWF. He did a movie with Hulk Hogan called No Hold's Barred in which he played the character of Zeus, The Human Wrecking Machine. Shortly after the WWF did an angle with Lister and Hogan, playing of a real life rivalry and dubbed it as 'Life Imitating Art'. And they fought each other in a tag team match at Summer Slam '89 and his partner was Macho Man Randy Savage. And this was Savage in his prime. Anyway this movie was six years after and I guess he was still trying to play off his wrestling moniker at the time.
Both Tiny Lister and Chris Tucker star together in The Fifth Element along with Bruce Willis. Perfect role for Tucker, loud and obnoxious..just the opposite role for Lister who actually plays the President but both are good
