This is hands down the best video on EV training on TH-cam. I just started playing Pokémon sword last Friday and wanted to get the info and everyone else’s videos lack the detail and simplicity for newcomers like myself. Awesome job my guy! 👏🏽
It's not really a necessary thing to know unless you're into competitive or post game stuff. IVs were definitely made a lot more accessible in Sun-Moon and Pokemon Go. EVs are still that thing that's somewhat ambiguous and unintuitive tho.
You can abuse raid spam! From Austin John Plays videos. Just find a den next to a tree when you change the date the berries respawn. Unlimited berries.

I wouldn't try change to clock anyways, I don't know if this is just me but, when I changed the time to speed up the Pokèjobs it just reset the amount of time I already waited out.
I love the third method, because I dont have a lot of time like usual. I can just send my Pokemon away while I'm at work and come home to stronger Pokemon
Fantastic video on how ev's work. I always have a tough time explaining this too new players. This is a well put together video that makes it so much easier to understand than I could ever explain xD. TY!
Another Tip for Defense- EVs: Go to Galar- Miine 1, but use the Entrance on Route 4. Now if you go through the mine, you will be able to battle two carkol (as long as you run/cycle into them, while they are moving on the tracks). Each Carkol gives 2 Defense- EVs, so you will be able to get up to 20 Defense- EVs by fighting one Carkol (so 40 EVs for defeating both). After defeating both Carkols, use the northern exit to leave the mine before entering it again and repeating the process. If your Pokemon holds a Power Belt and is infected, you would only need to enter the Mine 6 1/2 times ("1/2" meaning fighting only one Carkol) in order to maximize its Defense- EVs.
It was nice, though i'd rather have hyper training. EVs are easy to deal with otherwise too, IVs take much more effort to get right, especially on legendaries (the horrors of resetting).
Oh my gosh. THANK YOU. You are the first person to ever explain this so clearly. I have NEVER understood EVs. Thank you! One question I have is, how do you know which stats you should EV train?

Update: Now I have a fully EV trained Dragapult, but I feel bad for murdering a small army of Stufful.😐
Am I having a dejavú or you reposted this video?
F.B.I. I was so confused about that because I saw it reloaded and it was gone
he must of uploaded it by mistake before he was done with the youtube video editing
And that's everything you need to know to EV train your pokemon --to EV train your pokemon.
I was at the Poke-rust scene before it got taken down
He did it got privated idk why
What’s funny is that considering how shiny hunting works in Sword & Shield, there’s a decent chance you’ll find a shiny while ev training
Big Cornstarch Thats what I was thinking! It’s a win-win!
Why ?
t i The more of the same in counter of a Pokémon the more it will show up
Never understood breeding and training competitive Pokémon but thanks to your vids I’ve got a full team of powerful pals
When I changed the clock it auto did the pokejobs I'm confused
thats a glitch that makes it extremely easy to train, you can also use that glitch to get whatever pokemon you want in a raid battle
Damn.. doesnt work anymore
Sangu go to any den with a raid battle in it, click "invite others". While it's searching, go to your home menu, system settings and change the date one day forward. Open the game again and quit looking. Now your in game time will have skipped a day 💪
I have a team full of level 100s. Guess I'll have to grind berries for hours.
Lol
HAHAHAHAHAHA comedy
There is a way to track ev's in game?
When you view the summary of a Pokemon go to the stats page, the page with the hexagon. On here press the X button to view EV distribution.
@@mike65085 you get that later in the game though
Bram Sweers no the thing your talking about is checking ivs, Mike told him about tracking evs
@@zerofreeze6339 no mike65085 was talking about the checker...
@@bram1274 You're incorrect, the IV checker requires the + button in the box. He's talking about the EV checker.
Thanks for this! Your video has to be the best Gen 8 EV guide I've come across. I also discovered transferring your save also resets the PokeJobs timer
Omg lmao when he said “to EV train your Cinderace that you trained up to level 57” I chuckled because that’s the exact level my cinderace was when watching this
When you said "EVs" I thought you were actually talking about an eevee
Why the vídeo was reposted ?
Best video I've ever seen for helping with the arguably most complicated mechanic of the game. Instantly liked, favourited and subscribed -- thank you for all your hard work with the content ❤️
I’ll EV train my eevee...that’s the only joke I came up with
The unovian yamask I got from the kid in the stadium had pokerus
I've never been this early in my life
Anthony,me neither
Thx for the clear and simple explanation.
Cheers from Indonesia, mate.
wow i got here early without a notification lmao
I wish they still did it the X & Y way :/ that was my favorite
This is one of few thing that makes xy games my absolute favourite
Wiktor Zywicki I 100% agree
Exactly
Same! I grew up with X & Y, so I may be biast, but that was my favorite way to EV train.
It sucks that the new "fastest" way to ev train is by spending money, I still think the best way to EV train was horde battles, it made everything so much easier and faster.
like everything, if you throw money at it the problem goes away
I didn't even know that you could now use more than 10 vitamins on a single Pokémon for one stat now.
It isn't
Guys I found the fastest most effective way to EV train please like so everyone can see
You need to give the Pokemon the respective power item and send it to the job for the full day but immediately go to the open area and start any max raid it doesn't matter then look for help while you look for other trainers hit home and go forward a full day on the switch clock (like you do to farm gigantamax) then cancel the battle and go to the Pokemon center and there it is, the Pokemon with the power item will gain 252 Evs in the stat in mere seconds, no pokers required, I don't know if anyone else discovered it before I haven't look any other guides but this one so I just want to spread the knowledge
@@kuzunohaxiv7912 can pokemon level 1 gain full stats? Or they gotta be leveled?
@@WeyardWiz they can be level one there's no problem
Just about to get Pokemon Shield but getting ready for the adventure😁 This video was super helpful! nice work
8:50 - Cat
Macho Brace: Am i a joke to you?
Kinda yeah, with the power bands and whatnot
Should I use all 53 vitamins when the Pokemon is level 1?
You should do that at level 1,because if you level it first, then you give the pokemon evs through the level up process.
Xp candies from raid battles dont give evs
Finally getting around to playing this game, and this guide was extremely useful. Thank you!!
