I identify as one of the guys. No problem!
😉
You put the valve core back in when rolling internal or does it not matter?
I do. I air the tires up to race pressure.
When you talk in terms of a "soft track" what does that mean exactly. Is it a heavy amount of moisture in the surface?
Yes, typically heavy wet tracks that don’t develop a back groove. You can push a screwdriver down into a soft track.
So the softer the track the softer the tire you wanna run? We're having problems with dry and dusty tracks and totally missing the tire prep setup. Threw a set of soft grape vegas on there this week with some BS/acrysol prw and it seemed a lot better. How low are ypu going durometer on your vegas? Mid 30s?
Back in the late nineties and early 2 thousands we just set our karts up for the tire and track we ran on. We never shot in the dark. I think the people that run up front constantly sale prep but they don’t use it. I seen a guy last week pull his old kart off of a truck no prep pushed his kart to the grid went out and half tracked second place and the rest of the field. His stuff looked old but worked very well. I’m not sure but I think this guy could do well at any track because of his knowledge and understanding of how the kart works.
