Alright Ray let me see if I understand you. So essentially a flybar is a mechanical stabilizer on a helicopter. A flybarless system uses a gyro to control 3 servos to stabilize the helicopter. Do flybarless helicopters have computers (or sensors) on the machine to operate the servos to correct stabilization? This is awesome!! I have been studying batteries and chargers most of today and my head is swimming (haha)! Once again, I can't thank you enough for all your help!
Wow Ray, what can i say!! Another awesome video! Thank you so much for sharing this and all your information with all of us! It is really comforting having someone such as yourself to mentor us new guys in the hobby. There is so much to learn and many times the language is much of the battle. So much technical information to learn not only mechanical, but electrical, and throw computers in the mix too...Shew! A lot to take in! I guess that is what draws me to the sport as I love to learn!
I really loved the fly bar helicopter I have the raptor 30 and 50 and 90 I got them when I was 20 years old and I still have them they are still like new it’s very hard to find parts for but the fly bar less I like to but I still love my fly bar helicopter and I am now 45 years old lol
I have been introduced to helicopters with the old mjx toy sub hobby class heli. Recently Ininherited a tarot pro 450 heli and i wondered if you can advise how to get this in the air
Good luck trying to find a gyro now for a flybar system. I just got a brand new never flown Flybar Align Trex 450. I plan on replacing the head and gyro with the flaybarless system. Price wize, its not very expencive
Hey man...quick question. I have a blade 150s that I'm struggling with. When I try to take off, it wants to tip over. I'm not sure if it's an unlevel swash plate, not having zero pitch on the blades at zero stick, or something else? And, I did the calibration procedure to make sure that was set properly. Any suggestions, and I really appreciate you help. Your videos are awesome, thank you sir, Chris
Thanks for the vids... Which heli do you recommand for beginner provided I have practice on simulator regularly?are those blade mcpx or trex 250 or the mini cp from walkera suitable? I wont go bigger size than 250 heli as they are expensive to repair..thanks..
Got a good one for you RAY I'm building a align 600cf scale heli for a friend he bought the align 550e / 600 three blade rotor set up " OK the 550e main shaft doesn't work on this heli cause it has the 3rd bearing block" it had the the dfc head on it. the main shaft with the kit came with the new rotor main shaft has two bolts for the rotor head , what main shaft can i use will work for this heli" everything works but I can only use the bottom bolt hole with the clamp at the bottom of the three blade head using the 600cf main shaft can you help ?
Which would be better for a beginner? I am looking into into my first CP helicopter. I have heard that flybarless is harder to control than a fly barred. Is this true?
you said a few time tha fixing a flybar head cost more to fix but if you use cheap plastic wash out arms with a metal head thats all you break hey cost me around .10c each from ebay
So..if I push forward and let go of the stick, it will straighten up without me having to pull back ( like i have to on my t-rex 450 v2)? takes abit of the challange out of it! lol You always make good vids! keep it up! thanx
The T. Rex 500 has always been my favorite copter
CHARL SOUTH AFRICA REALLY APPRECIATE VIDEO, IAM COMPLETELY NEW STIL ON SIMALATER 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I had this question for mounts and you explained it in great way. Thanks, great vid. Keep up good work.

Specificly ade parts availa le for the pro 450. Not flybarless
Yes what ever help you need just ask I'll try to help
you can use them but because there a little lighter the heli will be more unstable and more reactive. fly bar less blades are a little heavier
well the flybarless head is easier to build but thats about it ,theres alot more programing involved with a flybarless heli

I have a couple gy401s and a gyro 520 fs

I would re do and double check settings in the unit on the 150 and transmitter
Great vid.
Ray can you tell me if I can take a blade 400 and make the head flybarless what parts would I need to get
Do full sized helicopters use gyros? because in the pictures I have seen they don't have fly-bars.
If a heli doesn't have a flybar that means its a flybarless helicopter which is the latest technology and the future of helicopter.
But are all real full sized helicopters (not rc) flybarless and do they have gyros?

Good explantion...
Ray are the flybarred blades compatible or are they align 3g specific
