@Yotoko Maremoto☆☆☆☆☆ he's not wrong to call it out. Casted was the past participle form of cast many centuries ago, and while it is gaining momentum in modern usage, it does not currently appear in any dictionary.
+George Mason I totally agree, as long as it isn't faked. There have been a few episodes over the years where I can't help but wonder if the "holding back laughter" isn't a bit deliberate. It has to be genuine to work.
+George Mason Tea.. that is sort of what I was talking about, but in that particular character that Haden plays (the first one that came to mind was Stefan), it somehow gets a pass.
My wife and I call each other "mommy" and "daddy". It's not out of any sexual thing but we just got used to it because it's how we referred to each other in the presence of our little ones so they learned to address adults properly. Trust me, tone makes a difference between cute and creepy or uncomfortable.
Subjective and objective are two completely different concepts. Obviously my saying it wasn't funny was an opinion. Just like my saying that you're an idiot is also an opinion. Humor is not subjective. A rock sitting on a pole isn't funny. That's an objective analysis. Please go back to school.
Lol no. They got it wrong. I find it hard to believe his staff badge takes precedent over his deployment badge outside of the numerous errors with the uniform.
"Dad, did I do something wrong, dad?" Damn, I actually felt a little sorry for a robot in an SNL sketch. Cecily is a lot like Phil Hartman. She really dives into roles, no matter the size. That robot voice can't be easy to do, it's completely unnatural. On the other hand, why is Woody so bad at timing? He was on Cheers!
@@imbornthiswaybaby12 And "players" is a term for live actors\performers in general. Sketch comedy groups and theater actors for instance. Players as in playing a role I think is the implication,

Super funny. Sad it got cut from TV, but great it's on the net. SNL still is in the great form. And Cecily Strong might be the best manequine android girl from the time of Kristen Wiig's finish talk show with Katy Perry. I'm looking forward for more of Cecily's robot girls characters :)
A sexually functional autonomous female robot with large hands is going to do absolute wonders for troop moral. $100 million well spent. Nothing is too good for our warriors.
I think it got weird when he was like "I don't love you anymore" and "You got born". Maybe it was the way Harrelson delivered those lines(love the actor btw) but I just didn't see where the sketch was going at that point. Maybe i'm just dumb. But comedy is like sculpting you need to see the joke in that big block of wood and carve it out so dumbasses like me can see it too.
Pretty much exactly how I feel! I usually likes subtle humour more but the nature of SNL is that your need clear cut jokes especially for the sake of a good audience reaction. The audience reactions can make or break a live she like Snl
Also the thing I've noticed since Seth left as head writer is that the sketches dont seem to expand more than the preliminary idea. Other than 'man is trapped in bunker, builds a sex robot' there doesn't seem to be any more to the joke. There just seems to be so many more facets of the sketch they can expand on, ie: his colleagues incredulousness that he's spent all this time building the robot, their disgust that he has sex with it, his apparent enthusiasm at his creation (there's a line of him wanting to show it to Obama), etc are concepts that can be expanded.the dancing thing is superfluous and even then the sketch doesn't really have a conclusion, Woody just seems to get less and less enthusiastic about his lines
I've watched three videos during my break and each one has had a 15 second ad that I can't even skip... This is going to make me root my phone just so I can block the ads
whoever casted Cecily Strong on SNL has made a great service to humanity!!!!
Casted ?

:p
her voice was so good
So, my husband is an engineer, and works on government projects he's "not allowed to talk about." This video cleared up a lot...
hell of a way to find out

You’re making yourself a target. Probably shouldn’t say shit like that on a public format.
So I'm guessing your hands aren't very big?
@Goggle products What are you, The Church Lady?
So you dont know what your husband does? GREAT mariage...
Hmmmmmm... Married his adopted daughter. I think they were talking about the other Woody...
YIKES
Good one, Glen Smith!
perfecttttt
Incredible
Except other Woody didn't marry an adopted daughter, and was never married to the adoptive mother of Soon Yi Previn.
Cecily has a cool robot voice
faboze she sound like ms.swan from madtv
@@donnellcoleman7784 you must think Morgan Freeman and Gilbert Gottfried sound the same.
She does a lot of voiceover on snl too.
700th like.

I love the awkwardness of this sketch I thought it was great

Cecily's one of the next greats.

What song is that?😂
what about it?
Yes, I need that song

The best SNL skits are the ones where the actors struggle to hold back the laughter.
true!! XD

A few seconds before that line I scrolled up the comments, and read this just as the line was said, and this was my first time watching this 😂
The Woody Allen story performed by another Woody.
I honestly need an hour or longer version of just her dancing and the music. I think that would be dope. I hope someone out there makes that.
Did...did Cecily just break?! 😳
Jarin yes, she did.
Jarin closest I’ve seen, and yet her ‘breaking’ is pretty much everyone else’s resting face. #coolasacucumber
Yeah for moment
Almost... right after the slap.
Cecily breaks very hard in a skit with Larry David. Larry David broke 120% though, while Cecily broke like 12%, so it's very forgivable!
Beck's timing with the big hands outburst made this whole thing.
"...WHAT?"
It sure isn't creepy that she also calls him Dad.

The kind of odd and bizarre humor that I love
You clearly have no sense of humor.
armandillo Don't lecture people about humor when you clearly can't even grasp how subjectivity works.
Way to try and sound smart by using a word that you don't even know what it means. Try harder next time.
armandillo
subjectivity? As in humor is subjective so there is no validity in saying this is objectively not funny?

I could actually listen to that music on repeat for hours.
Cecily is a living legend. She even kills it as a robot.
I'm impressed they got the uniforms right. Most *movies* don't manage to do that.
CatCube2 They didn't. Keenan's jumpmaster wings were upside down, and everybody's ribbons were set up incorrectly.
They weren't right at all... Not even addressing the ribbons, the pants were completely wrong.
Lol no. They got it wrong. I find it hard to believe his staff badge takes precedent over his deployment badge outside of the numerous errors with the uniform.
This was really good. Shocking the killer robot is his daughter and wife. Loved the slap scene and the concrete wall moving.

Just WhoTheFuckAreYou? ん
Lol she almost loses it at the end. Funny sketch,
Ok so don’t get me started about how Great Cecily is
That slap though
This was better than most of the sketches they kept in.
Make sure to not buy the DVD with deleted scenes.
The look on Beck's face upon seeing the robot was priceless.
Why did they cut this sketch? It's so damn good!
"Cut for time"
Next time, they should cut the bull shit commercials before cutting the talent.

Great compliment to her and to Phil. They are top tier SNL cast members.
I thought they brought in Cecily for the hot factor and yeah, it works.

The line of the century.
Lorne hates it when the cast breaks. He has been quoted as saying "We're not the f-ing Carol Burnett show." Cecily was trying her hardest.
