My sis failed the RN twice (back then in Canada you could only take it a maximum of 3 times or else have to complete the entire 4 yr program again) And was scared as hell, but took a special RN exam prep course and got ready for her final shot. So proud to say she passed and is a very successful RN today. Don't give up love!! See if there is a test prep program available if you want. You can do it. I believe in you!!!!! ❤❤❤❤

    Hi there. I had a car rental business and I went through all of the things you talk about. Stolen cars, at one time I had 12 wrecked cars! I hated the phone I use for the car rental business it was always messed up calls. So I understand all of the things you went through. Some advice.
    DO NOT GET RID OF YOUR HOUSE NOW! Once the bank repossesses one car, your score will go down 300 points. So, if we are talking about multiple cars, the damage will be greater. Your credit will be bad for the next six years. However, if you keep the house until all of that stuff falls off your credit report and once you are reestablished, you can get another house pretty easy.
    Good luck with your future endeavors.

    My first rental was my first home that II bought and my uncle convinced me to rent out instead of sale. Of
    course I was scared and I even used a property management company because of this (That was a mistake, they charged me 10% of the rent and did nothing but collect my rent). Because it wasn’t an old home I rarely got any calls about issues from the renters. The rent paid the mortgage on that house and gave me an extra 300 dollars in my pocket every month (which I didn’t use but sat aside just in case). Six years later I sold the house and received, after all paying off the mortgage and fees, a check for 178,000 dollars (home appreciation). Folks, real estate is the path. U will fail sometimes, but it’s worth it🙏🏿

    Two pieces of advice I'd like to give from experience:
    1) If the house is your only piece of property DON'T SELL, because you may never be able to get a house again.
    2) FILE BANKRUPTCY, even if you plan on letting the cars go, bankruptcy is better than repossession, your credit will recover much quicker from a bankruptcy, than a repossession.

    • @Justauri-asdfghjkl

      But I would NEVER recommend bankruptcy

    • @InverselyComplicated-ve3ls
      @InverselyComplicated-ve3ls 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @Justauri-asdfghjkl
      If she just lets the cars get repossessed, the bank might try to collect the deficiency balance if the cars resale for less than her current loan, with bankruptcy that potential issue is eliminated.

    • @Justauri-asdfghjkl
      @Justauri-asdfghjkl 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@InverselyComplicated-ve3ls bankruptcy is a tool designed for the wealthy elite (billionaire class). It will RUIN a regular persons life. It will yank your credit score for at least 10 years. She's made plenty of videos about how she doesn't want to work much and bankruptcy will undermine that severely. They may repossess her home forcing her into a brutal job market she already doesn't want to be a part of much. Then on top of that, no credit cards, no loans, no nothing to leverage to build a business. Sure, a married couple with two incomes or one staying home to take care of the kids can go through bankruptcy and just eat it for 10 years, then live off their kids in retirement, but a single mother who doesn't want to work full time should not take that route. Bankruptcy is not a quick fix

    • @Justauri-asdfghjkl
      @Justauri-asdfghjkl 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@InverselyComplicated-ve3ls no, that's not how bankruptcy works. Its not a savior that erases your past. It will tank your credit for at least a decade. It is really not an option

    "When you don't know what to do, do nothing...."
    Literal story of my life right now and I'm a single mom who has failed before. 8 years ago, I was fresh out of an abusive relationship, facing homelessness, a $40K debt and I had a newborn baby to care for.
    Slowly but surely I got debt free and I have savings.
    But my job doesn't pay what I wish it would pay and I'm not sure what to do next with life. I have thought of getting a master's degree or learning a whole different trade.
    But we can safely say we tried!
    What's life when you don't take chances and what are mistakes made for then if you learn nothing from them? 🤔

    You see it as a failure. I see it as a huge win! I remember not too long ago you didn't even want to be a business owner. Now, you've stepped outside your comfort zone, did something new, and forever removed the "I wonder what would've happened if I..." thought that haunts so many people that don't act on the things they think to do. No, the business didn't go the way you expected/desired BUT you've grown so much, learned so much, and now you know for sure at least one thing that you NEVER want to do again. And now you know that you actually like entrepreneurship and that you enjoy the level of time freedom it can bring. You never would've known that if you held to your old view of not wanting to be an entrepreneur. Girl, you did big things in a short time. You've had bumps along the way but such is life. All of this is a gift & a HUGE win in my book! And I'm so proud of you! I'm proud of your transparency! And I'm excited to see what you'll do next!

It’s that part of the chapter/season that audience members are thirsting for throughout the winter, spring, and summer eager to tune back in during the fall to see the climax.

If we get rid of capitalism and the concept of private property, we could all live comfortably with less than 20 hours of work per week. No matter what business you start, you will spend the next however many years doing 80 hours of work per week, and there is no guarantee that will even pay off.

    So many unanswered questions. #1 Did you incur debt when your business went under? #2 Did it impact your credit score? If you sell your house and go to renting your credit score could impair your ability to find new shelter. #3 Without your business how are covering your monthly expenses? #4 Are you saving for retirement? Old age comes for us all.

      @@LifeAs_Kiki Ok. Thank you. I’m glad you’re back. I would open a retirement account (IRA) and start saving. You can do this without an employer. You are young and have time for it to grow. I recommend Betterment, Fidelity or Vanguard. A good book to read The Simple Path to wealth by JL Collins, the Black Girls Guide to Financial Freedom by Paris Woods, or Get Good with Money by Tiffany Aliche. I know it may seem like a good plan to use your house for retirement but you’ll have to sell it, do a reverse mortgage or rent it out for your living expenses and that’s IF you home holds its value. When my daughter turned 16 and got her first job I opened a individual retirement account for her with Fidelity( her employer didn’t offer retirement accounts for part time workers) I didn’t make her contribute because she was heading off to college and needed to save that money, but I contributed every month. She was probably the only sophomore in high school who had one. It’s been growing nicely. This is a great pivot point for you to figure out what’s next and how to take care of future you. I’m rooting for you. A great TH-cam channel is the Money Guy show. Don’t let khaki wearing white guys fool you😂. They know how to get financially fit.
      PS. I started saving for retirement when I was about your age, I’m 49. I’m closing in on half a million in my retirement accounts. AND I get to keep my house in old age. I know you can do it.

    I did Turo from 2015-2019.
    I used to make the same mistake of giving people "breaks" whenever they've been a frequent or long term renter.
    I figured I'd be lenient with them because I've made so much money off of them.
    That was a MISTAKE.
    The loyal customers are the ones who take advantage of you the most.
    I was renting out economy cars (Nissan Sentra and Honda Civic). While not as dramatic, I've encountered some reckless renters who had no qualms about wrecking my cars.
    The entire time I was sooo fearful of losing the cars, ruining my credit etc.....
    When I surrendered and let the banks get the cars, I felt so much relief.
    Like a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders.
    This business and the outcome made me fearless.
    Failure or financial obstacles don't scare me like it used to after I was through.
    I don't regret doing Turo. It was a blessing to me in many ways. However, I'm not interested in returning.
    My least favorite part of the business: the clientele.

    You are such a wonderful positive person! And you obviously were raised by good people. You have really awesome personality traits. Many women and girls in your demographic can learn so much from you. Being an independent thinker is so important, and one of your pluses. You should do a TH-cam show on women's issues from your perspective, it would open the world up to what black women really think, and show the feminine side that we don't often get to see. And yes. you are beautiful...

In fact every entrepreneur I know had some struggles.I definitely think the wait and see mentality with the bankruptcy is the way to go, who knows it may not be necessary.
