Mauls greatest failure was when he lured Obiwan to Mandalore the first time: killing Dutchess Satine. In this alternate what if series the easiest change to make to the timeline is instead of Maul seizing power so haphazardly he would instead take over DeathWatch from the inside from the start and use his considerable power from there to take over the galaxies crime worlds and drug rings in the shadows. With Dutchess Satine still alive(and Maul still sensing Palpatine would go for Anakin in his grand plan) Obiwan would have no other emotional choice but to go and try to save her. It’s a bit up in the air what Anakin would decide to do in this instance but in the clone wars scene he seemed especially eager to go with Ahsoka and reconnect but was persuaded by Obiwan to make the “wise choice” of going to Coruscant to save the Chancellor. With Obiwan suddenly overcome with emotion for Satine and equally as eager I believe Anakin would go to both help his Master save his love interest and finally rekindle his connection with Ahsoka. With Maul now playing his cards right in successfully luring Obiwan and Anakin and gaining great power in the underworld of the galaxy he is suddenly a real force to be reckoned with against his former Master Sidious. You would think that because there is now more dark side energy to be reckoned with that surely it still means doom for Anakin I’m not so sure. First of all as we’ve seen in prior wars between the Jedi and the Sith when there are more than an Apprentice and a Master to suffice the Rule of Two, the Sith tend to annihilate each other in a war of attrition amongst themselves and against the Jedi. With so much in flux and no longer a single master plan in place it is easy to see more scenarios in which Anakin stays with the light: especially since he’s been reunited with Ahsoka (a key orchestration by Sidious to separate them from earlier in the clone wars I believe to fully push Anakin towards the darkness)and likely will not be without Obiwan and his Wisdom in fighting dark side impulses(especially with the dreams of Padme). I also see a scenario in which Anakin succumbs to the darkness. If Maul were to successfully subdue Anakin and kill Obiwan with Ahsoka also subdued but nowhere to near to help it could unleash that darkness in Anakin. And yet without Sidious there corral him emotionally and harness that dark force in him he essentially would overpower Maul and avenge his master. What he would do here is up for debate, as he could honor Obiwan from there on out and only practice becoming a benevolent Jedi or see the despair in Satine’s eyes as her forbidden lover was killed and run away with Padme to start their new life with their newborn force sensitive twins. Pickle Wart “First of all, how does he survive getting cut in half?” says Filoni. “Plus, he fell! If Maul took over he would do nothing but crave power and Sith history and become something even crazier. He could read people’s minds and stuff. He knew so much almost like Sidious but Sidious knew from playing both sides. Maul knew from studying, spying and reading minds.
It is annoying how the Jedi will never consider anything told to them by their enemy is true. Barely even mention it again until it’s too late. The erigansit of the Jedi truly was their down fall.
I bet that if the movies hadn't already existed, Maul would have betrayed Sidious to the Jedi letting them know who he was well before he revealed himself.
How grand would it be if a scenario in which Darth Maul and Obi-Wan challenged the Emperor. It begin with them and how fitting that the old ways should end and old concept.
I don't think the Shadow Collective was renamed Crimson Dawn. In Season 7 it seemed to indicate Crimson Dawn was already a part of the Collective. I think after they disbanded Maup just took over Crimson Dawn and lost the other allies except having a working relationship with the Pykes
I'd like the idea that the rebellion is very secretly under maul's control by the time of the empire, in the same way the republic was under sidious control and nobody knew.
Interesting video but I think you made with big leap from "Maul wants to get revenge against his old master" to "He unknowingly started the first rebellion". Maul is actually still consumed by revenge as he does go after Obi-wan in Rebels rather than joining a rebel alliance. He didn't start (nor unknowingly do so) a rebellion but rather looked for allies to take out his enemy.
It would have been excellent to see Maul switch it up and lead a rebellion againt Sidius. This was a character of great potential and power. It seemed like he still had good inside of him. That scene where he dies in the hands of Obi asking him if Anakin was really the chosen one so that he could take revenge for all of them... was a proper scene... it seemed like he wanted to change after he saw the future...
Bail Organa, Padmé Amidala and Mon Mothma are the true creators of the Rebellion with the Delegation of the 2000 senators who presented a petition to Palpatine so that he gives back his emergency powers. Most of these 2000 were later executed during the imperial era
damn, Ahsoka must be kicking herself for not accepting Maul's hand. Especially after he crashed the ship and killed all the clones. Might not have done that if they'd teamed up like he wanted. Oh well.
@@cisarvitiate in the comics, dooku gets beaten by darth maul though, he then is obligated to team up with him. If you wanna read it, its in son of dathomir
It wouldnt be a rebellion they would of both jumped off the ship escaping the 302nd company left to die and then on would work together with the syndicate and mandalore who has yet to have the civil war that would have gar saxons rule. Use those combined forces against the fragmented grand army of the republic. Ahsoka would be trained in the dark side (maybe that part is.unsure) and they would probably win since obi wan would defeat anakin and this new rebellion would be swift. Yoda will still.lose the fight to sidious because all.of the sith embodied him strengthening him in that fight. However after maybe a couple months of new order when vader would dispatch maul and ahsoka would strike which would be felt through the force by obiwan. Who would join the fight yoda probably would not since sidious was strong but more likely maul and ahsoka would defeat sidious because of his tendency to be behind the scenes. When exposed he is exploited as seen in return of the jedi. So yeah would be a cool arc . But the real honest truth is were the jedi to survive this encounter (meaning order 66) they would continue being political and corrupting their purpose
Maul in phantom menace is younger than obi wan, about 3 years younger, so he probably is in his late 30's or beginning 40's in clone wars, and mid 50's in rebels
It might happen in the future. However this would have to be a quick thing because Vader didn't know asoka was alive until they faced off in rebels. There was a hint, but this has to be something between that meeting and before Maul goes to Ezra for the Sith Holocron
We also need a what if story of maul and ahsoka joining up together and become gray jedi and recruit the left over jedi from after episode 3 and maul turning the crimson dawn into a positive gray jedi empire.
I think Ahsoka should've said, "Suppose I believe you about Anakin... what if we just stopped Darth Sidious? Would that keep Anakin from turning to the Dark Side?" They might have still partnered up if she and Maul thought that might be the case.
I really wanted maul to turn to the light side or at least in the middle like that big creature in rebels instead of sticking to the dark, imagine maul with a blue or white lightsaber😂
Kind of makes you wonder why Ahsoka didn't trust Maul in rebels... i mean she was literally living in the future that Maul told her about during the end of the clone wars.
It’s a shame Maul never gave up his obsession of revenge against Kenobi. Would have been cool if Maul partnered (Not joined, they only have a common enemy, they don’t share the same values) with the Rebellion and sauced on some Imps.
I think if both obi won and Anakin came to mandalore and maul told kenobi his former master's plans. Then kenobi would try to convince Anakin and nearly succeed, but maul would attack Anakin and "be Anakin Skywalker true master" teaching him to conquer his(Anakin's) feelings of fear and anger.
Ahsoka & Darth Maul never had a partnership what you describing is a conversation that took seconds. Ahsoka was hunting Maul through a sewer system, all of her clones were killed leaving her out numbered by Maul & his death watch. Maul questioned where was Kenobi & Anakin, told her about Sidious, & then put forth a proposition. Ahsoka played along to coax the implications of what such a partnership’s outcome would be. As soon as Maul said it was too kill Anakin, before he turned to the dark side, Ahsoka returned to fighting him. They never teamed up. Also that’s a stretch to say he was starting a rebellion. He was consolidating power, & insulating himself, just like he did on mandalore, because he knew Sidious & the Jedi would come for him. Also Sith want power & control.
I think they should make an cw alternative arc with darth maul/obi wan, ahsoka/anakin, yoda/mace windo where they duel palpatine like in rots when mace tried to arrest palpatine. But instead maul and ahsoka would team up and reach out the jedi council after their duel for an emergency meeting. Then maul would reveal sidious true identity. Yoda and the council would ask all available jedi for assistance and since most jedi were in battle or overseeing a battle at the time obi wan, mace, ahsoka, maul and anakin would've been free to assist. Obi wan had just killed grievous so he would've been available and yoda was assisting the wookies but would've been able to assist also because they would've been ahead of order 66 instead of suprised by it. I just think it would be cool to actually see how it would go down if they stopped order 66
I don't think Ahsoka would have lasted with maul, she isn't evil, she really is a Jedi without being called one, plus, she would have tried to let Obi Wan know and she would have tried to negotiate something, between the two, but she still wouldn't agree with maul on much, if anything, and if she went hardcore with supporting him, (which wouldn't have happened)) sheuld have been called a traitor by Bo Katan And Maybe Obi Wan, and they'd have a real reason to hunt them down this time,
Who could have predicted when TPM came out that Darth Maul would eventually go on to try and defeat the Sith Order and defend the Republic? God, now I want to rewatch all of TCW again 😅
Not defend the Republic, I think: just beat DS and whomever is his apprentice and take over, if possible. Maul is not a good guy, he is smart, calculating and crafty. Oh yeah, and utterly ruthless.
The Galactic Republic died the day clones instead of citizens took up arms in her defense. Could you imagine a fleet crewed by Moncals, an army of wookies and gundum? I'm not against clones fighting as long as they signed up and we're not created. Also the Jedi would have to very quickly learned better tactics or they would have been forced out of leadership roles.
Watch if Maul learned how to use the world between worlds like Ezra and uses to warn himself about order 66 and the location of obi Wan or snips, they could change the fates of any character with the worlds between worlds thing if Ezra is still alive and he could teach someone how to ues it, I think it might be really cool if Maul could abuse that power
Perhaps if they had been able to contact the Jedi council it could have changed things but otherwise both Anakin and Sidious would delete Ahsoka & Maul at that time.
If only Ahsoka would've joined Maul then Maul would have the full support of all of Mandalore with his Death Watch merged with them. On top of that the Black Sun, Crimson Dawn, and Pyke Syndicate. Plus whatever Night Brothers and Night Sisters are left on Dathomir. They'd stand a good chance of taking down Sidious and his Clone/Stormtrooper army.
He's more intelligent than half the council tbh. There's a reason a renowned sithlord like sidious took him as an apprentice and planned on keeping him until Anakin's arrivsl.
Forget the mcu, I want a star wars "What if" series where we see Anakin and obi-wan go to mandalore

How grand would it be if a scenario in which Darth Maul and Obi-Wan challenged the Emperor. It begin with them and how fitting that the old ways should end and old concept.
So, since he expected Obi-Wan to show up, does that mean Maul would have made the same offer to Obi-Wan???
2:10 uhhhhh Savage you doin okay there bud?
...And then he split
Man Awesome Maul gets even more respect now.
He suddenly had an epiphany and decided to go justice samurai
We need a what if storyline where the jedi and the crimson dawn fight the empire.
love this its so good because i can learn more about Star Wars thanks Star Wars comics
I don't think the Shadow Collective was renamed Crimson Dawn. In Season 7 it seemed to indicate Crimson Dawn was already a part of the Collective. I think after they disbanded Maup just took over Crimson Dawn and lost the other allies except having a working relationship with the Pykes
“DeMaulish”
Nice one.
A dark side obi-wan would be an intereting video topic.
Maul is definitely superior when it comes to devising a plan and if allied with any Jedi has a chance to overcome anyone
I'd like the idea that the rebellion is very secretly under maul's control by the time of the empire, in the same way the republic was under sidious control and nobody knew.
Maul is in my top 10 favorite Sith Lords
We adore the hero’s but also understand the villains
Darth Maul: "What if I don't want to be the bad guy anymore?"
In that instant mauo was referring to luke. The thing obi wan was protecting
Thank You for clarifying that 😊😊😁
They should make a Star Wars what if series on Disney + just like they’re doing for marvel
Bail Organa, Padmé Amidala and Mon Mothma are the true creators of the Rebellion with the Delegation of the 2000 senators who presented a petition to Palpatine so that he gives back his emergency powers. Most of these 2000 were later executed during the imperial era
ORDER 66
damn, Ahsoka must be kicking herself for not accepting Maul's hand. Especially after he crashed the ship and killed all the clones. Might not have done that if they'd teamed up like he wanted. Oh well.
I think a Maul rebellion would've been cool!
0:27 hold up was Sidious about to trash count Dooku lmao
No what he said in this comic is basically that maul was a true loss, he had potential, but dooku was just a tool and was taken out when the time came
But honestly Dooku was much better and more powerful character
@@cisarvitiate in the comics, dooku gets beaten by darth maul though, he then is obligated to team up with him. If you wanna read it, its in son of dathomir
SithAssassin25 for me he is good but not better character
Wait a minute-
I just realized, how old is Maul once he dies on Tattooine? He must have been at least 20 years when he faught Obi-wan and Qui-gonn
zabracks can live to be like 180 in human years so in zabrack years he probably wasn't that old
Paleo Boy06 false, zabracks can live to a maximum of 70 years old
I thought he was 17 in the phantom menace
Maul in phantom menace is younger than obi wan, about 3 years younger, so he probably is in his late 30's or beginning 40's in clone wars, and mid 50's in rebels
Ep1 obiwan was 25 and maul was 22
It might happen in the future. However this would have to be a quick thing because Vader didn't know asoka was alive until they faced off in rebels. There was a hint, but this has to be something between that meeting and before Maul goes to Ezra for the Sith Holocron
Would make a great alternate timeline story
Nice idea that he wanted to save the Jedi. But I think he wanted revenge on everyone.
I thought this would be the OTHER plan, not a summary of the plan everyone knows already
Ex-Sith Lord helped with setting the plan for the Rebel Alliance. Wow!!!
I think if this happened he might not have tryed to become the new sith but ultimately would have wanted to join the jedi after as a master
If I was Obi one and saw maul with blue eyes I would turn to the dark side
I would actually like to hear a fanfiction from you in a 10 minute video on how the entire saga would change.
I really wanted maul to turn to the light side or at least in the middle like that big creature in rebels instead of sticking to the dark, imagine maul with a blue or white lightsaber😂
Kind of makes you wonder why Ahsoka didn't trust Maul in rebels... i mean she was literally living in the future that Maul told her about during the end of the clone wars.
oh damn didn't know he'd have a deeper lore
It’s a shame Maul never gave up his obsession of revenge against Kenobi. Would have been cool if Maul partnered (Not joined, they only have a common enemy, they don’t share the same values) with the Rebellion and sauced on some Imps.
I think if both obi won and Anakin came to mandalore and maul told kenobi his former master's plans. Then kenobi would try to convince Anakin and nearly succeed, but maul would attack Anakin and "be Anakin Skywalker true master" teaching him to conquer his(Anakin's) feelings of fear and anger.
Love this arc so much I think it is so interesting and fun
I wonder what the empire would have looked like with mail at palpatines side
The good old days when we were shocked as hell when we found out maul lived
Did you do videos on those comics you mentioned?
Was maul the one to bring balance to the force?
They gotta add Maul’s rebellion with Ahsoka to What If
I think they should make an cw alternative arc with darth maul/obi wan, ahsoka/anakin, yoda/mace windo where they duel palpatine like in rots when mace tried to arrest palpatine.
I don't think Ahsoka would have lasted with maul, she isn't evil, she really is a Jedi without being called one, plus, she would have tried to let Obi Wan know and she would have tried to negotiate something, between the two, but she still wouldn't agree with maul on much, if anything, and if she went hardcore with supporting him, (which wouldn't have happened)) sheuld have been called a traitor by Bo Katan And Maybe Obi Wan, and they'd have a real reason to hunt them down this time,
The irony of them both being voiced by Sam Witwer.
He didn't want to defend the republic, he knew it had already fallen, he wanted to deprive sidious of his prized apprentice
How I would feel about a maul rebellion. If I was a citizen I would join the mandolorians and put on that Gar Saxon helmet because it’s so cool
The past six thumbnails were focused on the eyes. Particularly Blue Eyes
Maul just mad at obi cause he no longer got the organic height to ride space roller coaster.
Sound interesting if Anakin and Obi-Wan face Darth Maul and tell the truth?
If only Ahsoka would've joined Maul then Maul would have the full support of all of Mandalore with his Death Watch merged with them. On top of that the Black Sun, Crimson Dawn, and Pyke Syndicate. Plus whatever Night Brothers and Night Sisters are left on Dathomir. They'd stand a good chance of taking down Sidious and his Clone/Stormtrooper army.
How Does Darth Sidious go about naming his apprentince what type of thinking go's into the name? or does Sidious just make a name on the spot?
Your the best youtuber
Maul never gives up.
Maul and obi wan vs sidious would dope but maul and ahsoka would be annihilated.
Captain Fives and General Maul aided by General Tano and Captain Rex to destroy the Sith Lord Darth Sidious
Maul was a lot smarter than I gave him credit for until the end of The Clone Wars.
He's more intelligent than half the council tbh. There's a reason a renowned sithlord like sidious took him as an apprentice and planned on keeping him until Anakin's arrivsl.
