  • Craftsman's vocation calls for ingenuity and discipline but requires a systematic approach to maintain spontaneous creative process. Join me for a short overview of my explorations and discoveries within the beautiful world of simulations and let's have a look at how craft & design could enrich each other across different platforms.
Jakub Spacek is originally from Czech Republic and worked with different studios leading to his transition to London where he is currently freelance, Jakub has expanded his artistic perception, developing deep passion for simulating abstract visions of real-world phenomenon focusing on even the smallest subtleties of shape and motion. He explores how we can truly enjoy this vision by composing immersive, pleasing, and meditative content.

I have been studying houdini on my own for about 3 years. I am nowhere near this level. I wonder how long it will take me. Need to pdg my brain a bit. I loved the eggs and the medical animation process. Congrats

Have you tried “applied houdini” tutorials?

@@ANigerianPrinceI have. But there's a big gap between following a tutorial and being able to come up with complex solutions by yourself like in these cases. But Steven knipping is great.

Interesting vision. But I disagree with one thing about simulations. You can artdirect randomness and chaos in the simulations he is talking about in the beginning. That is the essence of Houdini - you have total control over the process.
