This is the most helpful lesson I've found since I started to learn in august last year. I get når but I kept hearing it in norsk filmer! Awesome! Takk
So is the usage of 'da', at the end of a sentence used similarly to 'ikke sant', or maybe like English 'right', or ' you know', where they are not really necessary to understand the sentence?
Using da in statements or questions is a lot like using 'then' for the same purpose in English. Why do I care, then? Why is she singing, then? I'll get a new car, then. It might be used a little differently in English because there's usually the implied causality of 'if' in these statements. Rephrased: If her voice is hoarse, then why is she singing? In the statement example someone might be pestering you to buy a new car and giving you a bunch of reasons why you should. Exasperated, you say, "Fine, I'll get a new car, then." Unspoken is the implication: If my car is such a piece of junk, then I'll get a new one. I can't say if 'da' has a similar usage, but it helps me to think of it as 'then' in only the statement and question type scenarios.
Hei Karense, tusen takk for dine videor som forklarer det meste jeg fikk ikke forklaring fra skolen. Du er kjempe flink å forklare og du snakker så tydelig. Jeg provde å finne om du har en facebook page på facebook , men du har ikke det, tror jeg. Likevel, er jeg veldig glad og takknemlig av deg. Jeg har fått nye kunnskaper i dag og det hjelper meg til å forberede meg bedre til norskprøven i juni. Jeg skal se på andre videor neste gang. God natt. Gud velsigne deg. :)
Hei Dolores! Takk for at du ser på! Jeg har både facebook-side og webside, se her: Webside: www.norwegianteaching.com Facebook-side: facebook.com/norwegianteaching/
Dunno if you guys gives a damn but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my girlfriend these days =)
It is so strange to hear you speak in English!! You have a very perfect non-affected California/USA accent when you speak English, but I miss the "music" of the Norsk!
This is the reason that I began to rely more heavily on your videos. Because they are presented (almost) only in Norsk it is immersive, and it helps me learn new words and grammar through context. And LOTS of repetition.

Hi luvly tutor!! Please how can I distinguish "sjuende og tjuende"? Seventh and twentieth
Sjuende: make the "hush" sound with the finger over your lips, like when you tell kids to be quiet
Tjuende: simply SMILE and say tjuende
Thanks a lot. I like the smiling part. lol. Can I pronounce it like the Dutch g like in goede morgen, or German ch in auch?
Yes, I guess so :-)

Gwendolyn Flanagan Thanks! I have now decided to do only Norwegian so that I make it for everyone😊😊

Can Når also be used for future?
RoseFlow3r yes indeed: når jeg skal reise på ferie, skal jeg slappe av
Verb er ikke number to?
Puster inn når man sier «ja», norsk for godkjenning
