I was able to help install a Trex fence and a custom double gate at my Mother's house a few years ago. The installation was simple and the material has withstood the ups and downs of Utah's climate so far. The fence still looks great and her neighbors are all jealous. Color scheme was Woodland Brown rails and posts, with Saddle pickets. Very nice look.
I'm having a home built in Oklahoma and wanted to find info on how Trex Fencing holds up in hail damage. Have been searching you tube and on Trex website, but nothing found. If installed and I get hail damage, I'm sure that panels can be replace, but any info would be helpful.
Hi Arthur, I just responded to this question on another comment, but just to add to it, hailstones are most likely going to damage any type of fence made of wood, vinyl, or composite. However, Trex will perform better overall because of the thickness and density of the product. Hail wouldn't typically break the material but the surface may show dents if the stones are big enough.
What is the price, and do you have white collar...my neighbors have white plastic fence in one side, and I need to have white fance on the other two sides..
Cveta, thank you for your comment. The cost for 6' tall Trex Fencing materials is in the low to mid $50's per foot. If you were to have it installed by a contractor, the total price is typically in the $75-$85/ft range. We don't have white, but Winchester Grey is available, which is a light grey. Hi Ryan. Thanks for your question. If you are a homeowner and are building the fence by yourself, plan a full day to set your posts (maybe two if you're digging your holes by hand). Like most fences, make sure your posts are set deep enough and with enough concrete to be secure. Our installation guides give you greater detail: www.yournextfence.com/installation-resources. As for building each section, you can typically build one in 15-20 minutes once you get the hang of it. So, plan on a total of 2-3 days total if you have experience and some help. If you're building a fence for the first time, Trex is not hard at all, but you may take a little bit to get the hang of it, in which case, it's probably wise to block off 4-6 days.

Anyone else that has had this fence installed? how long did it take to construct? I'm looking to fence off my property, it's about 185 linear ft.
