  • An update of the work I have been doing over the past week. I cleaned out the clutch cover and clutch mechanism, adjusted the clutch. In addition I re-installed the carburetors and throttle cable, reconnected the exhaust and refurbished the battery box. I still need to finish some things on the engine before I can give it a first start!

I do like watching your video's on the 750 ltd. I myself have one and your video's give me a good idea as to what problems I can come up against when restoring / fixing it. Well done. You have done a really good job on it.

did you have to drain the oil to get to the clutch?

I own a Kawasaki kz440a. I have a starting problem. there was a short in my wiring that affected my lights and starter. I have bought a new battery. rewired the lights and in the process discovered there is a light green wire coming from the left side under the clutch plate cover, that is not connected to anything. I would like to ask you what this wire should connect too. I believe this wire is why my bike will not start. I can not find where this wire hooks up. I do hope you will be able to help me.

Stacy Holbrook I have a 440a as well. The only light green wire I can see in the service manual connects to the neutral switch. Here is a link to where I got the manual. Hope that helps.
