Fully agree. This gave me chills. And there's no chance of overdramatizing - this was the culmination of all of Taliesin's story of Molly suddenly twisted into Matt's story of Lucien. It's a beautiful and important point in the creation of one full, amazing story from two skilled storytellers - now expertly animated by a third. Your pacing, the shots & framing, the music choice - all a wonderful interpretation of the spoken story. Well done.

Spoilers for C2E137 You will regret those words. For over 6months now Lucien has terrorized us, and the last episode is just *shudders* disturbing. Like Matt appologizes to the audience about the highly disturbing nature of the Cognoza Ward. (Body Horror) And they have atleast 2 more episodes to go until they will rekill Lucien. Next campaign they better properly incinerate and lay to rest fallen PC's. Tal even tried by using decay to make Molly rot away faster, because he knew the monster he made.

I just want to say that all the artists, not just the Doodles, in the CR fandom combined with how much the CR crew talk about and welcome the art, makes this one of the most creative and unique experiences in any medium I've ever had the pleasure of consuming in my life. Just such a treat to see everyone's ridiculously other-worldly art and interpretations featured during the actual show and how some of the art literally changes the way the players see their characters. It's just such an interesting and satisfying experience. To watch the community grow from the beginning into how they interact with the players into how their art is literally official merchandise just astounds me. That and I don't think Matt would take Taliesin's dead PC and make the exact same guy an NPC, especially given how emotional Taliesin was over his death, then deciding to keep him gone. That would be a dick move, and Matt doesn't do those.

Also from the Archfey himself so to be taken with a grain of salt but makes sense "Do you think gods are the only beings who can grant fantastic power look at your half-orc friend" I think that line while mostly to establish where power comes from also establish why she doesnt need to branch off cause when she's leveling up she's just learning to get better with the powers she was gifted

LOVE IT. The music building up, the lightning as Veth shakes out the coat, the divine magic entering Jester's eyes, the way you visualized her mind appearing somewhere else for scrying, and then the dramatic swoop of the camera around Molly's body - perfect.
Everything about this is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT

Oh my god??? Oh my god the TENSION the DRAMA this is incredible!!! I love the buildup, the slowly mounting tension, the unique camera angles! The shots of Molly's coat against the lightning, and the final reveal of molly at the end was just especially great!!!

I just want to say that all the artists, not just the Doodles, in the CR fandom combined with how much the CR crew talk about and welcome the art, makes this one of the most creative and unique experiences in any medium I've ever had the pleasure of consuming in my life. Just such a treat to see everyone's ridiculously other-worldly art and interpretations featured during the actual show and how some of the art literally changes the way the players see their characters. It's just such an interesting and satisfying experience. To watch the community grow from the beginning into how they interact with the players into how their art is literally official merchandise just astounds me. What an amazing institution Critical Role is. Peace and hugs everyone.

That and I don't think Matt would take Taliesin's dead PC and make the exact same guy an NPC, especially given how emotional Taliesin was over his death, then deciding to keep him gone. That would be a dick move, and Matt doesn't do those.

Then FINDING out that Lucien was the BBEG attempting to become what amounts to a sociopathic god of destruction using the forgotten and banished fire-power of the Somnovum, a radically Malevolent Mageocracy of batshit crazy and insanely powerful Zealots to rip down and build up a world in Luciens image using Exandria as the canvas.... WAS FUCKING LIKE WUT M8?!!!!!!

Battling lucien over the span of no less than twenty fucking episodes ranging from failed diplomacy, a clumsy Cat and Mouse arc which swapped between pursuit and flight as the wind shifted, to a Three stage encounter that killed multiple members of the Mighty Nein, Only JUST skating by with insane death saves and clutch revivifies... ALL the while ***LOSES MY GODDAMNED MIND AT THIS POINT***
.... ALL... THE FUCKIN' While... the mighty nein is trying to reason with the fragment of Luciens soul (Via begging, pleading, fists, fireballs, and the kitchen fucking sink) that houses their lost friend and ninth member of the Mighty Nein, Mollymauk Tealeaf...

The music, the timing, the expressions, the subtle things like the sense of desperation, hope, and dread, Beau and Yasha clasping hands, Veth with the coat revealed in the air as she pulled it from the dirt and the lightening behind it... MASTERFUL CINEMATOGRAPHY!!! Just... everything!!! Everything!!! Oh gosh, especially the build to the climax. I could fangirl over this animatic for hours probably. Has anyone shared this with CritRole? I can practically hear their squeals of delight in my head!

Well her orginal plan was to be one but then travis heard how cool they sounded so Laura let him have it and it doesnt seem necsarry as all her cleric abilties come from the Travller

@@Dracoswizard yeah but if canpign 1 is any indication they never multiclass unless its a story reason like when fjord switch to wildmother, Vax become a champion of the raven queen, Vex trained with her twin to have some rogueosh abilties. So while I agree mechanically would be nice from a story perpstive I dont see a reason for jester to take it yet.

@@Dracoswizard I mean a clerics job Isnt specifically to heal look at tempest arcana war and order domain sure they can take healing spells like the trickery domain but thats not thier speciality. Also from the Archfey himself so to be taken with a grain of salt but makes sense "Do you think gods are the only beings who can grant fantastic power look at your half-orc friend" I think that line while mostly to establish where power comes from also establish why she doesnt need to branch off cause when she's leveling up she's just learning to get better with the powers she was gifted
