I like to think he meant more that Molly's legacy lives on in the Nein and that any story elements tied to him (Lucien's Tomb-Takers, the ritual, the spellslinger etc) are still out there, waiting to be resolved, not by Molly himself now but by his friends.
I read somewhere, can't remember where so take it with a grain of salt, if you take all three character's primary colors: Percy = blue, Molly = purple, and Cad = pink, you get the colors of the bisexual pride flag. Taliesin is bi and I gather he loves this sort of thing, so I wouldn't have put it past him or it could just be a delightful coincidence.
I love this scene so much. The whole scene is just so magical. The music, the ambience, and the imagery of Caduceus' home and most importantly the mysterious figure that is Caduceus Clay just elicits such wonder. All the while, the scene develops a deeper, heavier emotional tone with the mention of Mollymauk. Such a perfect demonstration of the magic of DnD.
i like how differently the group reacted to a main cast-member replacing an old character differently this time, granted laura and travis weren't here this time, but besides general distrust of a new face, they never went out of their way to dislike caduceus, granted the situation for tal replacing molly with caddy-pack and sam replacing scanlan with taryon are much different, and taryon wasn't exactly likable, but still.

In terms of Personality, yes. Especially when the other two fit their stats do well Percy: Uptight nerd who needs his friends to help him loosen up. Caduceus: Stoner Hippy you aren’t sure is even listening to you because he’s off poking a toadstool only for him to respond to you with something that’s both personal and profound.
I honestly really hope that Sumalee comes back at some point because I fucking adored her character. She was so good. Even if she doesn't come back as Nila, I'd just love to see her again. She's so pure.
Sumalee and Ashly actually do voices together as a mother and daughter on 'The Ghost and Molly McGee' on Disney! Sumalee plays Sharon McGee (who's from a Thai family), while Ashly voices Molly McGee...a girl who gets 'cursed' with a ghost when the family moves into a new town! I highly recommend this series!
I think Taliesin did such a good job in demonstrating to novice Sumalee the RP possibilities in DnD. She was inserted into the story at a time where a player died and came back with an interesting new character. She was absolutely enthralled. I would like to think that she eventually started playing DnD with her friends every once in awhile.
Cad is my favorite character Taliesin made, and maybe my personal favorite PC from CR ever just because he sticks out from the lot being very balanced personality wise from the get go and that's what makes him so interesting, especially compared to the rest of the Mighty Nein. I like to think he meant more that Molly's legacy lives on in the Nein and that any story elements tied to him (Lucien's Tomb-Takers, the ritual, the spellslinger etc) are still out there, waiting to be resolved, not by Molly himself now but by his friends.
@ajs1031 Um. He never did. It's never happened. :(
I just noticed Taliesin's shirt, "New character, who dis?"
Liam is just so happy listening to tal explain his new character
Also what’s up with him an colourful characters
I read somewhere, can't remember where so take it with a grain of salt, if you take all three character's primary colors: Percy = blue, Molly = purple, and Cad = pink, you get the colors of the bisexual pride flag. Taliesin is bi and I gather he loves this sort of thing, so I wouldn't have put it past him or it could just be a delightful coincidence.
Tali is a very colorful person.
Nila/Sumalee’s reaction was so cute!!! She is adorableeeee
Mollymuck=chaotic/ Cadeuces=grounded totally different, yet so similar
I enjoy this character far more than the other two he has played. Also, he's a great example of how to play a character with high wisdom.
When the morrowind background music started to kick in ... I knew... I had to find these guys and subscribe.
Ahh I missed the "I like this man" moment the first time! Thanks for giving us the subtitle since its hard to hear thats so nice of you! x

*Instant flashback of Percy in the Scanlan's Spa Room*
Good callback.
i like how differently the group reacted to a main cast-member replacing an old character differently this time, granted laura and travis weren't here this time, but besides general distrust of a new face, they never went out of their way to dislike caduceus, granted the situation for tal replacing molly with caddy-pack and sam replacing scanlan with taryon are much different, and taryon wasn't exactly likable, but still.
Nott: “Like a graveyard, a boneyard”
Caduceus: “Well... boneyard is a bit crass. It’s more like a garden *continues explaining* Nott: “So like a boneyard sort of a place.”
I don’t know if this was intentional but it really embodies Nott as a character.

NO WE ARE KEEPING SHIPS OUT OF THIS NO!
I just love how Taliesin wore a “New Character Who Dis?” Shirt
Good lord, Taliesin! It's so good to hear your voice again!
It is always good to hear Lord Taliesin's voice lol
I love that he said "I'm going way off the reservation here." yet was the most grounded character of them all. >XD 0:25
I started watching Campaign 2 solely to meet Caduceus. I saw some animatics with him and just knew I would love him. And I do.💕
I feel like we all really needed Caduceus after what happened in the episodes before, and the energy he has here just exudes from him in everything he does.
*Meeting caduceus clay*
Me - "the pleasure was all ours"
Sumalee's happiness in this scene just makes me smile everytime
"I haven't had one of these in a long time." oh you sweet summer child. you need to be hugged more.
I love him I love him I love him I love him I love him
Cadeuces reminds me of a younger uncle iroh
"Do you know him!? DO you know him!? DO YOU KNOW HIM!?"
*watches video*
"Oh, hey... that's great." *sips tea*
I knew caduceus was gonna be special when he said "I have to say something now that I think about it..."
It occurred to me while rewatching this scene that the reason he only has 3 extra tea cups is because they were his siblings cups.
Percy-Intelligence
Molly-Charisma
Caduceus-Wisdom
And yes I know that Molly had a higher wisdom but I feel like he embodies the charisma stat more.
In terms of Personality, yes. Especially when the other two fit their stats do well
Percy: Uptight nerd who needs his friends to help him loosen up.
Caduceus: Stoner Hippy you aren’t sure is even listening to you because he’s off poking a toadstool only for him to respond to you with something that’s both personal and profound.
By this alone, Taliesin's frame could hold a house up... I suppose (based upon stuff) it ultimately does.
I honestly really hope that Sumalee comes back at some point because I fucking adored her character. She was so good. Even if she doesn't come back as Nila, I'd just love to see her again. She's so pure.
She is without a doubt my favorite guest that they've ever had. Just amazing.
"Do you help people out of the ground?"
That has a totally different vibe now, after all Caduceus has done.
Am I the only one coming back to this clip over and over.
I think Taliesin did such a good job in demonstrating to novice Sumalee the RP possibilities in DnD. She was inserted into the story at a time where a player died and came back with an interesting new character. She was absolutely enthralled. I would like to think that she eventually started playing DnD with her friends every once in awhile.
theory time, caduceus says the last time he had someone come to him for help was two years ago anyone else think it could have been molly?
Anselina DuPree Well he said two seasons, so half a year ago really. It could still be molly (though I personally doubt it)
Cad is my favorite character Taliesin made, and maybe my personal favorite PC from CR ever just because he sticks out from the lot being very balanced personality wise from the get go and that's what makes him so interesting, especially compared to the rest of the Mighty Nein. Also I love his aesthetic and flavor.
So many Shakespeare refs in this excerpt. So many. Especially Liam and Sam. Well done.
as much as I love cad, this ep I was kind of hoping he would just decline their invitation to come along and Talisen would pull out a third character just for the hell of it
"were drinking dead people tea?" "Aren't we all?" "Fair point." WHAT DO YOU MEAN "FAIR POINT?" I'M PRETTY SURE TEA DOESN'T USUALLY COME FROM DEAD PEOPLE DOES IT???
Maybe i am reading to much in to it... But the line form Talesin at the 7 ish mark... A subtle nod to not let a certain resurrection become a big goal on it´s own. There is a natural order to things.
I didn't realize how much youth got put back into Cad by the Nein
I love him so gotdamn much,
If you're so bereft of social connections that the death of a character--not the exit of the player--makes you so upset you started throwing out threats, I am so sorry for you. Molly was fantastic, and so its Caddy...but it's all Talesin, he never went anywhere. It's a game, it happens.
Thought he was a druid for the longest time
Man... this went so much smoother than with Taryon.
Taliesin predicted sam’s Tea&Tea bit. Change my mind
