    I have wandered away from my way from the Lord I am 81. I had a stroke about 6 years ago and I cannot walk anymore or use my right hand. Life for me has changed since then. I scrolled past this and the Holy Spirit impressed to listen to this wonderful topic. Thank you so much

    Sounds like it's going to be a great quarter. I like the simple way of linking key scriptures.. Mark, Revelation and Daniel. Well explained, thank you.

    Very powerful insights from the lesson and also this discussion. I love the comparison between Peter and Mark and also the parallel between Jesus' presentation of the gospel and the Three Angels' Messages. Keep doing the great work and I am looking forward to the commentary on Mark by Dr, Shepherd.

    Thank You so much. I agree, in the context of Jesus Christ being full God and human. Human flesh thus presents weakness but is strengthened by dependence on God.

    I hate the notion of 'strong weak Messiah' 😢 He was strong in every aspect of His personality. Humility is not weakness!

      I think a better explanation would be to say that it shows Jesus was fully human. His flesh was weak.

    • @LookBeyondRejoice
      @LookBeyondRejoice 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Isaiah 53 shows the weakest man as following, and it's why so many weak individuals have been comforted and encouraged as Jesus identified himself as the weakest.
      ......
      He was oppressed and afflicted,
      yet he did not open his mouth;
      he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
      and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. ...

    • @user-ky2xo2ls4m
      @user-ky2xo2ls4m 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think you misunderstood that comment. Christ was fully God and fully man, he suffered as we do but his strength came from God as ours can and does come from God. He ultimately overcame as we can. It's not his weakness that helps us, it's his strength.

    I think the comment of saying 'you can use companion book if you want to look smart as a class member, should have been 'if you want to understand more, rather than look smart '

    I am not convinced that the phrase about the time being fulfilled refers to Daniel 9. It's simply saying that it's is time for the long-awaited Messiah to come.

    Learning to lean on Jesus and learning true submission from Jesus
    9:21 Strong&Weak Messiah. Jesus came to show us the life of dependence, interdependence, trusting, humility, meekness, humanity, obedience...
    Mark 1:35 "And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed."
    Jesus was connected to the Father like umblical cord connects mother and child, the two spies were connected to Rahab by a rope that lowered them (Trust and dependence on test❤) once the cord is cut, and we are seperated from the Source of Life, then we have no Life. From the beginning, the principle is 'Let's make man in our own image' Solidarity/unity/teamwork & reciprocity
    Jesus is about dependence, co-dependence/co-heiring and teamwork in both vertical and horizontal relationships😊✝️Jesus depends on the Father and on his earthly brothers. He needs helpers not that He cannot complete the work but He is teaching us family values of working together and bearing each other in love and submitting to one another in love.

    "Hour of His judgment". Multiple meaning. Yes, our character will be diagnosed, we reap what we sow. God is simply confirming the decisions & choices we made and how our character is.
    The other meaning is the Great Controversy is all about satan trying to misrepresent who God is and what His government stands for. So in the end all people will have to choose, is God who satan claims he is or is God who Jesus says He is. So we are making a judgment about God, His character and His law/government.

    Share this with the GC sabbath school secretary>>>Most SDA ("People of the book") have never read the whole bible or even the whole new testament ONCE in their whole life. Mark is 678 verses long and most of those verses will not even be read over 13 weeks in sabbath school classes. Members will discuss or argue topics instead. SO by the end of the quarter, even MARK will not be read! " Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down." Mark 7:13.,/,.,

    I'm not so sure I'd use the word weakness for Jesus ... but meekness ... He was baptized to fulfill God's plan. He wasn't being weak to have John baptize Him. Just food for thought. What does the SOP say.

    Good day, Tom Shepherd,
    Can you please tell me why the Bible characters such as John Mark are whitewashed (Acts 13:1, & Colossians 4:10). You cleverly pass over this information & rush into other information in your introduction. Also, are you adding or subtracting when you have deceptive images? Why not tell the truth with your images? Don’t worry, God Got This.

    Do you mean, Jesus is weak because he allowed the people to make him suffer to fulfill his mission? Strong because he stood for his faith in God the Father? Am I right in my perception?
