Having had Long Covid for over tow years the hardest part is that what helps often stops helping in time. It is like watching the changes in children as they grow from infant to toddler and so on. It often feels like being trapped on an amusement ride that you can not get off, you wake up every day feeling sick - the worst you have ever been sick - fatigue - brain fog = inflammation in joints and organs that ache, and your just stuck in this day after day. What has helped me the most is SLOW walking. It takes the hard bite out of Long Covid.

Have you tried ivermectin? I recovered in 6 days fever COVID headache brain fog but had extreme lack of energy and legs were so heavy I could barely get through my work day. Took full doses according to my weight and within 2 days I feel great. Leg pain has lingered so I bought ankle compression socks I sleep in. No more leg pain. I've also started 1 tablespoon olive oil in the morning and 1 teaspoon cod liver oil at night....

Dr A - if I could like this video a thousand times, I would! You are an absolutely brilliant physician, and frankly I feel EVERY provider ought to be required to view your material on these modern health issues - especially this one. I have seen 21 providers over the past 8 months and NONE of them have even a sliver of understanding when it comes to Long Covid, MCAS, etc. I am desperate for relief as my condition seems to be progressively getting worse. I’m currently taking a handful of medicines and supplements to try and manage my MCAS and other Long Covid syndromes, but it’s a band aid at best. The dysautonomia is increasingly severe and my brain feels like it’s rotting. It’s getting harder and harder for me to to function with each passing month. Lately I have been bed bound and not able to leave the house much at all. If even a handful of my providers would watch this video or spend even 30 minutes A WEEK trying to educate themselves on Long Covid, we would all be better off.

😢 before Long COVID, I taught at the University level and I have a PhD in architecture. Now I have severe neurocognitive deficits. When I was tested, I scored one out of 70 and after two months of being on Aricept, which is an Alzheimer medication, I scored two out of 70. What’s really concerning is that this is continuing to progress. It is getting worse by the day. I introduced myself to my next-door neighbor three times, not recognizing her or remembering that we’ve talked at length. I don’t know how common this is, but I do know how horrible this is.

Microdose Psilocybin + CBD + organic foods, eliminate environmental toxins to reduce inflammation + creating an occupational therapy regiment to restore cognition. Extreme dedication and you will see major results after one month. Keeping the systemic inflammation as low as possible is the challenge and any food can trigger it via histamine response. Took me two years to fully recover, but I worked on each body system focused on cellular function and molecular biology. My tipping point was that I forgot I dropped my kids off at school, like they never existed.

I had long COVID from 2020 to 2022 after recovering I was back to normal.. then reinfection after 6 months so from July 2022 to now long COVID, I think second infection caused more symptoms. Brain fog memory when symptoms get less get better, so I don't it's like dementia just getting worse .
The key is to treat it to reduce impact . In my case Longvida Tumeric which reaches the brain reducing inflammation helps and high DHA omega 3 which the brain is mostly made of . Magnesium and Vitamin D with K2 MK7 variant.
Long COVID is linked with organs not getting enough oxygen the mitochondria, so hyperbaric oxygen therapy may particularly help with the brain part as more oxygen gets there .

My infrared sauna really helps me feel better.Along with NAC, Vit C, quercetin, b3 that flushes, glutathione, staying hydrated, drinking warm/hot water, cdp choline, magnesium, and getting rid of candida overgrowth and eating low histamine foods. The nicotine patch has helped me too. Just have to be careful with it, it causes me to have nausea and dizziness, so I leave it in for a bit, then take it off for a little break, then put it back on again. Deep breathing has also helped me. Staying relaxed and dealing with stress has helped. I notice I get worse when stressed. I am going to use nettle supplements to naturally help with histamine response. Passion flower has helped me sleep. I ordered some skullcap herbal supplements, hopeful that they will help as well. It is definitely a learning process, but I seem to be improving overall and recovering from bad episodes more quickly.

I believe Chronic Stress is the Root Cause of Long Covid, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME, Chronic Lyme Disease, Fibromyalgia, MCAS, and POTS. It suppresses your Immune System and Digestion, making you more susceptible to infections and causing poor absorption of essential nutrients, leading to nutritional deficiencies.
The continued Stress ultimately leads to a Leaky Gut and Leaky Blood/ Brain Barrier. This allows Pathogens and Foreign Proteins to avoid digestion. directly enter the Bloodstream, and make their way into the Brain. Once there, the already compromised Immune System has a more Cytotoxic response that causes the Blood Vessels to be inflamed.
The. Brain Inflammation causes most of the Long Covid symptoms. Deep Sleep is the ONLY Time the waste products of Inflammation and normal metabolism are removed from the Btain. When you are Stressed. your Sleep suffers, and waste products build up in your Brain, making your symptoms worse.
Improving Sleep Habits are the best way to help detox the Brain. But Chronic Stress can make a Good Night’s Sleep more difficult to obtain..
Meditation and. Breathing exercises (such as the Pnysiological Sigh) are good methods to reduce Stress. In fact, they can be done together, focusing on your breathing as you attempt to diminish repetitive negative thoughts. Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of NOW" can help provide a Change in Attitude to help you dwell less on the Past, which you cannot change, or the Future. which has yet to be. allowing you to focus on the time you can make changes - the NOW.
While pharmaceuticals can offer needed temporary relief of symptoms, it is these Lifestyle Changes that best address the Root Cause - Chronic Stress.

I have suffered from long covid, but after the 4 vaccine, it is like my body attacked itself, I have lots of muscle and connective tissue pain (daily). Cognitive (memory issues) kidney and adrenal gland issues, my immune system has gone haywire and feels like I have PTSD (it is like my body is constant state of fight or flight) nervous system is on overdrive, sleep problems (hard to shut my mind down). Oh and last 6 months I have TMJ, which started out as pain in jaw, just after covid. It’s been hell on earth. I have had the Doctors say nothing wrong according to their tests. I have a brain cyst as well, which they say is not connected, I had a scan, shortly after Covid and it was far from normal, and a year later they found a cyst. I have microscopic blood in urine, and no proteins in urine, so they said it is not a problem. My neurologist has said they don’t look for cause of any problems, they will just treat symptoms. I wish it would be mandatory that all GPS, specialists, get educated on effects of Covid and long term effects. A lot of us are falling through the cracks and seen as hypochondriacs because they do not recognize long covid. We are not getting proper treatments.😢

I noticed magnesium helps with the tremors . Shortness of breath at times is not real, like if you check the oxymeter with your finger it's normal above 95 yet one feels low on oxygen.

This could be Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or MECFS. MECFS and Long Covid have a lot of overlap, to the point of people arguing if they are the same thing or not. Mono is a common trigger. Unfortunately, MECFS research has been criminally underfunded and under-looked. Look up Post Exertional Malaise, its the hallmark of MECFS. Look up MECFS specialists or clinicians recognizing both Long Covid and ME. Check out Low Dose Naltrexone, it was a game changer for me for the inflammation and pain for LC and lots of pwME and pwLC have tried it. It doesn't work for everyone, but even if you don't have clinical MECFS it could help.

The lead to a trip to the hospital where a heart rate of 185 would not adjust to normal. They used the medication to reboot my heart. 3 wks later I ended up back at the hospital with ischemic colitis. This also resolved quickly without a need for surgery. It’s interesting to me that both of you are affected the same and for a long time. Find a functional med dr. And explore MCAS and treatments associated as well as genetic variants you likely both have to support with supplements like DAO and B Complex. Right away, 5 things you can try for 12 weeks: 1. carnivore elimination diet, 2. antihistamine non- drowsy like loratadine x 10 mg per day for 3 days then double it for 6 days, by 6 days should feel some improvement, 3. Take a non steroidal anti inflammatory like Aleve twice per day. 4. NAC 600mg x 3 times per day with meals for 3 months, then 1 x per day. This helps eliminate the dang covid spike protein and is the precursor to glutathione a powerful antioxidant. 5. Increase vitamin D3 K2 to 4000 iu per day. For healing….. Now, It would be good to stagger these but do them all at once, if you feel less good, then reduce anti histamine in half, and Aleve in half as well. I think you will start to feel better. Keep this up for 3 months if improving then reduce in half for 2 weeks to see if stable. Increase again if needed for longer. Once that stabilizes, start to bring back some vegetables slowly. You can do anything for 12 weeks because it’s worth your health and you can find the will. I would love to hear how you do.

Almost everything he said reminds me of the 'after' illnesses (Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia (Small Fiiber Neuropathy, Graves Disease, Intermittent sore throats, Gall Bladder removed, Pancreaitis, etc ) I suffer with from a flu I had back in late 1970s. Supposedly this flu and covid are not connected. I am not a doctor or a researcher, but, imo, something is missing. I slowly, very slowly over 40+ years have become completely disabled.
No offense to anyone, (1) stop blaming vaccines, (2) you will not get well. (3) there is no cure or effective treatment, (4) there aren't enough medical personnel to go around and, most likely, (5) what little medical help, 99.9999999999999999999 won't be able afford it.
Not a negative outlook, a rational one. Accept it. Work with what you have left of your life. Get rid of those who gaslight you and/or will not help you. Take g d care of yourself. Tell everyone and everything else to go to hell.

    Simple question :
As an expert in long covid have you compared cases in unvaccinated and vaccinated people?
Most of those who were unvaccinated and got covid in 2020 got vaccinated post infection. They first got long covid because they hadn't been treated. Left at home with doliprane...Then they were vaccinated at least 3 times...Do you get vaxed 2 or 3 times after catching the flu????
It's bizarre you never mention the vaccine status of long covid victims.
You used to mention it at the beginning of the epidemic, then you stopped. Why?

How can people have long covid if they are vaxed? Its save and effective if they take all jabs...there is no way they can get covid if they are vaccinated.
