The play "Oba Koso" was aired on NTV Ibadan, now NTA Ibadan in the late 70s, between 1976-1979. Many other great plays were often aired then. I'm not sure those tapes were preserved. You can imagine this documentary was not done by Nigerians. Yet we can do it. We must keep records. Thanks for uploading. This made my day!

Pa. Duro Ladipo, one of the founding fathers of entertainment industries in Nigeria. I found this very educative and lovely Yoruba cultural values inside. Goose pumps all over me watching this and making me remember my primary school days. This things still aired so well on NTA Ibadan in the 80s and early 90s.

This a real theater , and a solid stage performance, not the one out there we are watching , in actual fact % 80 of nowadays, Nollywood actors and actresses cannot do a stage performance except room to room.
I was expecting to see mama awero, iya rainbow, pa aluwe, oga Belo and prince jide kosoko which I believe they are part of the group. May be they were too young or they have not join the group by then. What an epic documentary
