The perfect result, and some immediate laps to enjoy the new seats in my AMG GT R Roadster! What do you think of my thoughts as to how it compares to my 718 GT4 I recently drove at the Green Hell?
@@NiTeHaWKnz the real problem that he will run in to will be the bracket seat connection and while they are having that done load in a could of other games like Cruise'n USA or really any racing game. It's just a standard PC under the seat should be pretty easy to put anything you want on there or install a Xbox one with Forza Horizon in each that way he can play with even more of his base. I'm sure the number of Shmee fans with a Xbox is in the million versus the number of fans with a simulator.
@@80wolfmanrob Actually, if he went your route, be might as well just buy a TV and an xbox etc. Refitting the Sega relly would be far more expensive with needing a new control system and monitors since Sega really was out well before HDMI came out on the scene. They'll have the old VGA connector on them. And having the Sega rally isn't about playing with his fan base, but the nostalgia of playing it as a kid. Oh, and you don't need a xbox to play Forza. It's been available for PC for sometime. But, it won't run on the PC's in the Sega rally sim, they're far to old and out of date for it.
I love how this man ALWAYS has a smile on his face, definitely lifts my mood up. Plus his passion for supercars is just amazing, always turns into a happy little kid when talking about those beauties.. Thank you Tim for being here.
Couldn’t say it better myself, Tim is an anomaly he has by far the best content in the car community and it’s not close. We average people are so lucky to be able to watch these videos and cars every single day
So impressive, how much you improved as a driver. And also probably one of the politest ones along the green hell. Happy to have you in Germany, Shmee! ♥️👍🥇
The whole point of the car hobby is to enjoy the cars and driving. I applaud you for making the seat change because it improves your driving experience and not accepting less.
The knowledge information on every car the driving capabilities Nurburgring got an awesome Channel keep up the good work and I love the Nurburgring blogs
Would've loved to see a third party innovate the air scarf feature into the bucket seats, then you would have had the best of both worlds and still have one of the best features of the convertible. Just imagine it Shmee... a couple of roof down laps at the ring on a cold day, with your supportive bucket seats and nice warm air blowing on your neck. Surely it can be done?
Imagine something soft and warm around your neck, like a blanket but a little narrower and a little thinner… just imagine if some one would invent something like that. Of course it would need to be light too. Maybe it could be called a scarf after the air scarf.
No issues with the audio, despite the roof being down. So much better now since you've started using a lapel mic on your blogs. The audio here is much much better compared to your pre-lapel mic episodes inside the car (coupe etc). 👍
Love the nurburgring laps, nice to see Tim cut loose and give it hell. Gets frustrating watching him tootle cars around on the road as a responsible adult 🥱
That car is obviously incredibly fast and looked like it handled the Green Hell far too easily for carrying that kind of speed. I would love to be able to take a lap on that track one day.
Thank you fron Spain for a very nice video Tim, I follow you since your very beginning here when you were a car spotter hehe. Good hands by the way, more laps with your cars please.
I gotta say that i wasnt sure about those buckets in that car... but the result is perfect. And also, you look a lot more “in home” driving the roadster on the nur than the gt4... your driving is much more precise. Congrats
What a beauty of a car. I saw this one only one time in real life at a Mercedes Benz Center here in Germany. So cool ! But it was not cabriolet version and yeah the steering wheel was on the other side haha
Bummer about the air scarf. Probably the best technology there is for a convertible. I loved driving around LA at night during the winter in my old SLK. Roof down, air scarf blowing, it was fantastic.
Truly great to see you enjoying your cars at the Nordschleiffe! Thank you for sharing with us. As a racer and fellow enthusiast, I have to ask you to wear a helmet though. You’re never always in control of every potential scenario and at the speeds you’re carrying at the ‘ring, it only takes one bizarre scenario to mess everything up!
There's much debate, but the issue is the additional weight and HANS devices are prohibited during Touristenfahrten. If you have a roll-cage and no airbags, then fair enough, but in an unmodified car wearing a helmet can potentially make a neck injury worse.
Shmee taking the best lines ever.... cudos my friend.... I can't wait till the day comes that I can actually come to Germany for my own laps even if its in a stock everyday daily haha... I've only ever drove that track on video games like gran turismo

need to team him with Misha for a race some day :)

Got some nice exterior shots of you out in the GT R roadster on track 😁😁
Oh I need to check those out!!
A bit sad about the air scarf but very happy that Opus managed to keep the bottom toaster!!!!

And only person has actually tested those out so far! ;)
@@Shmee150 missing the gtr pro already?
@@unknown81360 Why? He has the black series.
Find an upholsterer that can retrofit the airscarfe feature into the bucket seats... Best of both worlds 😎
Use the old seats for two more simulators or switch out the Sega rally seats.
YES!!!
I was thinking the exact same thing. They'd go well on the Sega rally game.

Good one Tim, i hope there are many more miles to enjoy...
Shmee we need a watch collection video. The daytona you are wearing in this video is awesome
Havent really considered how dynamic that car is with most of your drives being pretty laid back....watching these laps it really is a beast!
Favourite car of your garage by a mile, looked very capable on track.
Sounded great Tim. No problems hearing you at all. Cheers
I actually loved watching the laps with the roof down
