For me 9 is my doctor but 11 feels the most complete? Probably because he was allowed to change, grow, show all his different sides, and be more than the Doctor WHILE being the Doctor. Having family and friends that grew with him helped.

John Cena for me we didnt get enough moments of him just living. We were with him primarily for the adventures not so much the down moments which I feel is what made 11 feel more complete to me. We saw more of his time between the big adventures and there were more references to time and life we didn't see which feels more realistic. One of my favorite doctor who moments is with 9 when him, Rose, Mickey, and Jack are just sitting sharing stories until he finds the newspaper. It feels more real and grounded. I feel like we need that breather time now and again.
It also shows that the 13th doctors regeneration into David again was also planned. As Tom said “A few faces do come back”, meaning that others will come again and eventually tom

@@horion7271 Not probably. It actually is the proper meaning. Young Amelia wasn't scared of a stranger, who climbed out of a box in her backyard, but she admited being scared of a crack in a wall. So that crack must've been really really scary. And as we've found out moment later, it was. A crack between two realities isn't something your brain will deal easily with, especially if you hear voices out of it each night like Amelia did.

Yeah, they definitely peaked. It's insane how sad David's goodbye makes you and how 11's introduction completely turns your mood around. Usually always takes a while to get used to and trust a new Doctor, but they managed it instantly with 11. I seriously doubt they'll ever top it

The range of emotions, and the sheer intensity of believability makes it such a heartbreaking and beautiful thing to watch. After having watched DW now, I've realized that it's one thing for the show to be written well, but to also have it SCORED well. Murray Gold knew the importance of theme songs and reprises. Emotional moments like regenerations and companion send-offs were made all the more painful by hearing the same melodies we've heard since the beginning. Hoping that he returns along with RTD in 2023!

It's incredible how The Doctor can be 1 character and 13 distinctly different and diverse characters at the same time. There's nothing else like it in sci-fi.
I think this doctor has the most impactful script. The lines just resonate so deep in the mind. He makes you really feel the emotion of the moment. You almost have to believe he truly is the real doctor.

S3 EP2 "The Shakespeare Code" was my first episode. My godmother refused to miss the episode while babysitting me and got me thoroughly hooked. I got my mom sucked in with the next episode. We've watched it together ever since.
Both David Tennant and Matt Smith portrayed, Dr. Who, perfectly in my book. Both were intensley serious when needed and were so funny.. Brilliantly done at different times in their episodes.... Brought me laughter and tears.. And finger biting moments.. Well done Gentlemen. 👍😃
This. I never knew about Classic Who, don't remember what made me start New Who one day on Netflix and I instantly fell in love with the series and Eccleston's Doctor. I wasn't spoiled in the series and was shocked and unhappy when Tennant took over at the end of the season, only to instantly fall in love with him in his premier episode. Loved Tennant and his goodbye episode with the Ood's singing him to sleep is the most beautiful tribute and one of my favorite episodes. I'd learned from Tennant and was open minded to Smith and loved him from the climax of the 11th Hour. David and Matt are both my favorite doctors and absolute treasures. I did try Capaldi but he just doesn't fit right. He started too angry and got saddled with bad writing so I never did connect with him. (Going to retry him. Jodie's episodes I haven't tried yet but from what I've seen online she's being massively underserved too and is a better actress then what she's being given. Here's hoping Russell can give her the material she deserves and we get some terrific story arcs.

I've watched a lot of Doctor Who in the last few years and from everything that I've watched the Eleventh Doctor is my absolute favorite. In my opinion Matt Smith optimized the very essence of the doctor and handled some of his biggest moments ever with perfection. I love all the Doctors but I think that Eleven will always be "my doctor"

I started watching Doctor Who with Tom Baker and I have to say he remains 'My Doctor', but I have loved every Doctor - some more than others, of course. But seeing Tom come back as the Curator unleashed such a flood of tears for me. I love new Who, I waited sooooo long for them to bring back the show, and I just want all of the Doctors to be brilliant so I won't lose my favorite show again. The whole Rings of A. Speech is honestly my favorite of his. So raw. It really shows the pain and pure emotion that fills not just 11, but all of the Doctors. The fact that he will release his experience, even welcomes the process, is just so indicative of what he is willing to do. The agony in his voice when he tells the story of his journey is just... wow
Can we talk about his regeneration? The TARDIS from his point of view was full of things he loved, things that were important to him, Amilia, the song the girl sung to the parasite sun, but what is covering every square inch of the TARDIS? Every, single, drawing, every kid, in the 900 years he was on Trensalore, made. That is the most hearts warming thing the 11th Doctor ever showed us.

Matt Smith is by far the best of the 'new' doctors. His voice skills alone seems him apart from the others. His ability to go from a regular upbeat tone to the sound of an old wise man for me really sells the notion of a being that has lived for over 1000 years. Then there is also the fact that this 1 hour video still only includes a small fraction of the great scenes he had.
I absolutely love The Doctor's Wife - the banter between 11 and Idris is just spectacular and knowing that even though the TARDIS exists on a different plane her feelings toward the Doctor are finally vocalised and just how much the Doctor cares for the TARDIS is so well done by Matt Smith... for me it will always be #1
There’s one thing you forgot, Doctor Who channel people, you forgot to include the scene where the 11th Doctor phones Clara to go easy on the new Doctor, the 12th Doctor, that’s “he’s scared as much as you are”, that’s the transition of Clara’s vision to the new Doctor.

@@horion7271 Not probably. It actually is the proper meaning. Young Amelia wasn't scared of a stranger, who climbed out of a box in her backyard, but she admited being scared of a crack in a wall. So that crack must've been really really scary. And as we've found out moment later, it was. A crack between two realities isn't something your brain will deal easily with, especially if you hear voices out of it each night like Amelia did.

I heard from a source that the current writers are going to be fired and the old ones (like Moffat) are coming back aboard for the next season. Maybe even a new Doctor.
When Amy tells him they always set a place for him for Christmas. That, I like to believe, is when The Doctor realizes he has a place he can go and call home. A real home with other people and not just alone in his TARDIS looking for a distraction. I like that
When the Ponds go back in time, they set a place every christmas in case the doctor could find a way back to them.

After having watched DW now, I've realized that it's one thing for the show to be written well, but to also have it SCORED well.
Murray Gold knew the importance of theme songs and reprises. Emotional moments like regenerations and companion send-offs were made all the more painful by hearing the same melodies we've heard since the beginning. Hoping that he returns along with RTD in 2023!

I think this doctor has the most impactful script. The lines just resonate so deep in the mind. He makes you really feel the emotion of the moment. You almost have to believe he truly is the real doctor.

This. I never knew about Classic Who, don't remember what made me start New Who one day on Netflix and I instantly fell in love with the series and Eccleston's Doctor. I wasn't spoiled in the series and was shocked and unhappy when Tennant took over at the end of the season, only to instantly fall in love with him in his premier episode. Loved Tennant and his goodbye episode with the Ood's singing him to sleep is the most beautiful tribute and one of my favorite episodes. I'd learned from Tennant and was open minded to Smith and loved him from the climax of the 11th Hour.
David and Matt are both my favorite doctors and absolute treasures. I did try Capaldi but he just doesn't fit right. He started too angry and got saddled with bad writing so I never did connect with him. (Going to retry him. Jodie's episodes I haven't tried yet but from what I've seen online she's being massively underserved too and is a better actress then what she's being given.
Here's hoping Russell can give her the material she deserves and we get some terrific story arcs.

I've watched a lot of Doctor Who in the last few years and from everything that I've watched the Eleventh Doctor is my absolute favorite. In my opinion Matt Smith optimized the very essence of the doctor and handled some of his biggest moments ever with perfection. I love all the Doctors but I think that Eleven will always be "my doctor"

But seeing Tom come back as the Curator unleashed such a flood of tears for me. The whole Rings of A. Speech is honestly my favorite of his. So raw. It really shows the pain and pure emotion that fills not just 11, but all of the Doctors. The fact that he will release his experience, even welcomes the process, is just so indicative of what he is willing to do. The agony in his voice when he tells the story of his journey is just... wow
Can we talk about his regeneration?
The TARDIS from his point of view was full of things he loved, things that were important to him, Amilia, the song the girl sung to the parasite sun, but what is covering every square inch of the TARDIS? Every, single, drawing, every kid, in the 900 years he was on Trensalore, made. That is the most hearts warming thing the 11th Doctor ever showed us.

Amy is wearing a wig in that last scene there with Smith. She was doing guardians of the galaxy at the time.
I think the uncanny thing is that her hair was that long, I actually noticed too.. but it's okay. I still cry
They both were wearing wings. Matt for another role he was doing had changed his hair so both were in wigs.
He's so light-hearted and silly most of the times, but when you squeeze his arm too tight, he's an absolute menace. Bloody love this show and miss Matt Smith
his regeneration scene still makes me cry to this day. none of the others have ever done that... Matt Smith is and always will be MY doctor. Just like Karen Gillan will always be my favorite companion. I miss this era so much.

The irony of the "do you know how to fly this thing" line is that the Second Doctor once told his then-companions Jamie and Victoria that they were never to touch the controls (as Jamie recalled during the final moments of THE ENEMY OF THE WORLD).
He's Scottish, and was referring to 11's custard. He said, "Do you know how to fry this thing?"

Matt Smith is by far the best of the 'new' doctors. His voice skills alone seems him apart from the others. His ability to go from a regular upbeat tone to the sound of an old wise man for me really sells the notion of a being that has lived for over 1000 years.
Then there is also the fact that this 1 hour video still only includes a small fraction of the great scenes he had.

I absolutely love The Doctor's Wife - the banter between 11 and Idris is just spectacular and knowing that even though the TARDIS exists on a different plane her feelings toward the Doctor are finally vocalised and just how much the Doctor cares for the TARDIS is so well done by Matt Smith... for me it will always be #1
MS is such a convincing doctor, he plays sad, happy, old, young, mad with such conviction! Along with 9 & 10 he is my favourite dr!!♥️

There’s one thing you forgot, Doctor Who channel people, you forgot to include the scene where the 11th Doctor phones Clara to go easy on the new Doctor, the 12th Doctor, that’s “he’s scared as much as you are”, that’s the transition of Clara’s vision to the new Doctor.
