I remember going there three years on the spin with my grand parents & lots of driving people when I was a kid, spent the year getting the horses in shape for the 10 mile a day drives, memories I will never forget.
Wow. That looks like great fun. I'm sure everyone had a wonderful day. So many different breeds and different carts. The horses all looked well cared for.
what can i say good company, a good drink, the best drive, and a few songs this is how traveling people should be seen, put this on the telly showing the world that we are decient people who have respect
Looks like fun! A little heavy handed on the horses though. Loose lines and less whip/rein popping would make this better. I understand sometimes a horse needs a little pop on the rump every now and again, but not that often. Great video though. A blissful drive through a very scenic route. Wish we had something like this here.
wauw. Why don't they organize stuff like this around here. We have a huge forest/reservoir type place 30km wide it's beautiful to ride in. Sadly we never see any other drivers around. We do see riders every now an then. But wauw wouldn't that be amazing with such a big group.
yes - that's what i thought too. they used to have an organised Sunday p.m. drive where i used to live and it had a sense of occasion and they were people who did driving classes at County Shows so they would be dressed up according to their set up - landeau's and bowler hats for the high stepping welsh cobs and flat caps and waistcoats for the pony carts etc. Not a Vanner horse or Adidas 'trackies' to be found. And certainly not a fat bloke astride a horse in water deep enough to drown it if it slips.
Horses with overcheck reins never get a break, the overcheck bit is always buckled to the harness to pull their heads up to look fancy and it's very hard on their neck muscles. If People want a fancy high headed horse why don't they buy one instead of buying a cheap horse at an auction and trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
It's a work horse and do you not feel bad for grand national horses then get beaten with a whip run to death there whole life and a majority of them get shot
WHY have the grand national, which kills horses and breaks their bones, when you can have this, horses doing what they love. Have you ever seen a pulling horse getting hitched up to the cart? They are scraping the ground before it is even time for off! They love it, the people love it, and they are taken care of without being injured then shot as they can't make ££££££££ anymore!
Don't the ponies get really tired ? It seems to me that a gentle gallop would be easier on them than that fast trot. But of course I have no idea really. Do the ponies enjoy it? And how would you know ? Just curious
Susan Flowers the pony’s enjoy it and most of the drives a gentle jog and the horses are mostly all fit and we do cool them off in the river and rest them along the way so it’s not too hard
No, they're not. Proper horsemen don't drive like that. The fact you call them proper says enough. I'm in the organisation of driving competitions and all of them would have been disqualified. These people just fool around and damage the horses. Nothing to do with horsemanship. And please learn how to write.
@@WyrdHag most of those with racing sulkies had their bearing rein pulled up as tight as possible. When the horses are twisting their necks, thrashing their heads, and foaming at the mouth the bearing rein is to tight. When horses have their heads way up they cant even see where they are going. They cant swallow if the bit is up in the back of their mouth, they choke on their own saliva. Open your mouth and try to swallow, air ways are open when the mouth is open. We can ban bearing reins just like laws helped Tennessee Walkers.
liz Masters no they’re not to hard on the horses and wdum to much of a load 😂 the horses are fit af and how do they look strained ffs 😂 you obviously don’t know what ur talking about
Saartje05 there is nothing wrong with it if u want it stopped do something instead of hiding behind a screen the animals are fit and healthy and most of the harnesses fit perfectly and wtf do u mean carts unbalanced do the horses look abused to u ?

Good drink? I Thought some of these people looked soused, driving horses drunk is a no no,too. Horse cart can have even worse accidents than cars.
Elaine Luikart I think he means after the drive 👍🏾👍🏾
Good Traditional day out nice horses and well presented.Thanks.
Are you blind???
Beautiful, wish I was there!
Such beautiful horses
I love watching this.
I would love to do this next year with my son and daughter
I think I have watched this about 20 times...If I watch it once more, I'm going to buy a small carriage. Maybe? I think....
Please don't take this video as an example. It's the worst ever, animal abuse all over.
Looks a marvellous day out
Awww I love this💞😁🙌
Hi my name is datta from india I like your horse carts so beautiful and very nice I also have one small cart thanks
It's all crap and the horses are being handled horribly.
Really enjoyed watching this ! 😊♥
very nice video....really enjoyed it...thanks
.
Such fine horses!
Really enjoyed! Thank you!

Rein popping isn't hurtful if it'ts done by someone who knows what their doing, they do it with out jerking the bit.
makes me wish cars were never invented. :)
looks like a fantastic day out lovely !
ये घोड़े और विडीयोझ पागल कर देंगे ।बहुत अच्छा लगता है।देखताही रहू।

It’s looks like a gypsy gathering tbh.
That's what I thought also.

From welfare case to war horse, Penny retires from The King's Troop
whens the one in 2013
is this on every year and if so how do you find out the date ?
Looks like fun, but I feel bad for all the horses with their drivers pulling hard on their mouths the whole time with a tight rein.
I think that too😶
SylviaAlcatrazz ur pretty bent FairPlay 😂
SylviaAlcatrazz I agree also a few poor one horse pulling 4/6 in one buggy

I went to carvert trust at highfield school in year 8

If they would be handled in a right way they would enjoy it, but this video shows abuse all over. It's horrible to look at.
Troting us much easier than galloping and if the load isn't too much the momentum of the load helps.
Susan Flowers the pony’s enjoy it and most of the drives a gentle jog and the horses are mostly all fit and we do cool them off in the river and rest them along the way so it’s not too hard
Geez what a mess. Using the reins as a whip, carts aren't in balance, harnesses don't fit. Poor animals.
Saartje05 and you talking utter crap what ever you on about chavvie all proper horseman on that drive
No, they're not. Proper horsemen don't drive like that. The fact you call them proper says enough. I'm in the organisation of driving competitions and all of them would have been disqualified. Amazing
i have been and watched that
So many of those people were too hard on the horses, and nearly all the horses were too small for the load they had to pull and a lot looked strained.
I agree, I found parts of this hard too watch. Yet a bet they will tell you they love their horses!
The horses are not carrying the people. A pony can pull three times its weight. A very small pony weighs 200 pounds.

24.23 MAJOR abuse. Why is this allowed? Why is this filmed like it's normal? STOP THIS!!!
This is allowed because rich people are allowed to do as they please, like
Saartje05 there is nothing wrong with it if u want it stopped do something instead of hiding behind a screen the animals are fit and healthy and most of the harnesses fit perfectly and wtf do u mean carts unbalanced do the horses look abused to u ?
