Thanks for the video Tony! I have my Hover Air X1, having just received it yesterday. I have flown it three times indoors and another three outdoors. It’s fun! This little unit will be perfect for me to take some great shots when I am over in BVI for an upcoming vacation on a 42 foot Catamaran. It’s so convenient. I can’t get over how easy it is to operate!
Just don’t fly over water or you will lose it, it does not like water or snow, flat surfaces, it likes to have plenty of ground differentiation to keep its bearings.
@@Flyingramses Thanks-I made sure to not go over the water. The prevailing winds limited me to just a handful of short flights when we visited various islands. The most beautiful shot of all was an up and away and back, split into two shots. Unfortunately both were ruined because the drone encountered a gimbal glitch where it was shaking up and down during both segments. It was a shame because of how beautiful the deserted beach was that we had visited. The only way to get there was for us to take a kayak from our Catamaran and paddle to shore. Still, this little drone is hands down the best thing to have with you on a vacation. Zero setup time, and phone not required are the reasons why this tiny “flying camera” is the best!
@@Flyingramses That “up, away and back down to me” flight was the only time the gimbal has ever acted up. I think it may have been caused by the wind. The unit was doing its best, fighting against it a bit. And yes, it was a great vacation. The advantage of doing it on a catamaran is that the place you stay on is a boat…and that means you will end up not just enjoying one island, but many of them! We probably went to eight or nine of them. I’m thinking of going back to Bora Bora with my wife on my next trip. What an incredible place THAT was. I have never seen anything like it…the color of the water was unreal, like an electric aqua marine color. It was due to clear fairly shallow water over a white sand bottom in the massive lagoon that circles the jagged mountain island. And around THAT circles a huge reef, which blocks the ocean waves and causes the inner waters to be very tranquil, magnifying the color effect. All of that in the balmy South Pacific with its constantly mild conditions. The air temperature, water temperature and humidity were all 80 degrees, causing me to jokingly refer to the situation there as “80/80/80”.
Hi Tony..I too do all my editing on my phone but i cant do voiceovers or overlays like you are doind....what phone are you using? And have you downloaded an editing ap? Good review 👍
So I have a Samsung Android when I first started my channel for about 8 months I had an S9 then for 2 years I had the S21 and now I have the s23. I do all of my editing with PowerDirector which is an app for the Android phone

Yeah it it is extremely simple to use like I said you can just pull it out send it out get a shot have it come back to you put it in your pocket and keep moving on not like a drone
Out filming late today and through the night and I got an opportunity to use it for a couple shots I think it's going to be pretty impressive I was able to edit it right into the videos as I was going along because I added everything on my phone. Very very handy and easy to use

Joey if you do get one these things are amazing I'm out filming today and through the night into the morning and I got a beautiful shot around the car and was able to cut all those b-roll sequences into a orbit around me inserting different things into it well you'll see it Thursday night

You're going to see some of it in Thursday night's video I'm still out filming and actually said good night in the video so now I'm just doing a little bit of catching up on comments until morning filming starts again LOL

Oh my mind was spinning with ways I could use this even if just for b-roll in fact out filming today and tonight for an overnight car camping video that will be out Thursday I used it for a few shots
There is a hover app that you download to your phone and when you open the app all of your new footages on there and you just connect to Wi-Fi and pick the videos that you want to transfer over and they download over very quick and then any that you download are stored on the app for future reference but goes right into your camera roll so when I edit on my phone through PowerDirector I was able to drop the footage from that camera right in line when I needed it. So simple to use
you're in good shape for just having one.. props buddy, eat up that fish, omegas, keep your blood right exercise of course much as possible, I guess you now this, don't get discouraged tho, push and fight thru anything that prevents this . . . good alaskan salmon
It has no triangles with numbers anywhere on the Drone one review I saw said it's made out of a carbon fiber material mixed with something I do know that the cage is flexible
Definitely try to keep them camping related camping videos come out on Thursdays on the other days I do other stuff. If I see it affecting the growth of the channel I will certainly consider it but for now it keeps growing
Hello Tony. This thing to be honest is nothing more than a Toy. It is very limited with what it can do. I have been into drones for a few years. Any "Good" Drone does not take longer than a Minute at the most to get in the air. If you want to have great video with many options of filming at 4k video, long Flight time. etc. You need a much better drone. Just saying. But for a cool little toy that thing is cool. Just all depends on what you want from a drone.
Yes it's not your typical drone and I'm not quite sure I would call it a toy but it is a tool and though it has limitations of distance and flight I can see where it would be a benefit for non major drone Flyers like yourself

If the GPS is not good, I don't think it takes no longer than one minute to get it in the air. Sometimes it takes forever 😂
