A dedicated pro with their own studio and mass following is going to make much more than you when you start out. You'd have a much better comparison going to local art fairs and asking the people there.

I am really wondering why you throw them on the wheel ... would't it be easier to just roll the basic form out? Just wondering ... :)
I think their throwing them because then they have more control over the length and width
