Mary Katherine (Amanda Seyfried), or M.K., is a headstrong, spirited teenager who has a strained relationship with her father (Jason Sudeikis). She loses patience with her dad's tales of unseen people who live in the woods, but when she is magically transported to that mythic realm, she gains new perspective. M.K. joins a race of beings known as the Leafmen in their battle to protect their queen (Beyoncé Knowles) from their enemies, evil Mandrake (Christoph Waltz) and his crew of Boggans.

If you enjoyed this movie I'd highly suggest Strange Magic. It's also about tiny fairy-like characters. It's a jukebox musical like shrek.

One of my fav movies, books written my William Joyce, same author who wrote the Guardians of Childhood series, the basis for Rise of the Guardians movie

I absolutely loved this movie. I watched it this year and never knew it existed. Definitely an underrated movie. Great reaction as always🥰
The cgi is very good in this movie, and I love how the main character meets a lot of new friends.
Thanks Jv for watching the film. It's one of my few favourite movies of the now-extint Blue Sky Studios, outside the Ice Age franchise, Robots and Rio. It's also the only one with magic and action. I love the animation, the Danny Elfman's soundtrack, and it's very interesting. I love the characters, Ronin is awesome and noble; MK is pretty and smart, Nod is a little rebel but a guy with good intentions; Mandrake is evil but interesting and devasted father, Mub and Grub well not so memorable but not annoying. The other characters like Queen Tara or MK's Dad or Nim Gaalu are OK.
But again, thanks Jv. You are awesome.
The plot can be pretty confusing at times, but it's nice that Blue Sky tried something on this scale.

This was one of those movies that I wanted to watch when I was younger but never did, plus I forgot about it until now
I like Blue Sky's Epic (2013) from Blue Sky Studios the creators of Ice Age and Rio franchises. It's one of the good animated films in my opinion. 👍

Back when I was young and got the movie as DVD I actually didn't like it. But as I grew older I started to love it for some reason haha

Epic is part of my childhood, I love this movie because of the "samurai-ish fighting style" the leafmen's fight and because of their armor which scream "elf-kingdom!!!", I forgot the name of the movie and just recently found the title, that's why I'm here searching on yt for any youtuber who react to this movie, and I'm glad there's some youtuber who react to it.

FernGully: The Last Rainforest is another good film to watch and I highly recommend it too, it has plenty of celeb voices too like Tim Curry as the Evil character and Robin Williams as the cute, loveable but strange bat 🦇 . A definite one to give a go! ☺️

I'm surprised you reacted to this film. I haven't seen it since it came out a decade ago and I still don't really feel like watching it. I don't think it was very popular or successful because no one ever talked about it. In fact, I can't even remember much of it.
This is a good movie, but not as epic as the title say.

My one complaint about this movie is that MK forgave her dad when she discovered that leafmen were real. Whether they’re real or not he still chose proving their existence to the world over being a good father and husband, and I don’t think he should’ve been forgiven so easily for that
