There are so many content creators out there who make it all look so ‘Instaworthy’ that it’s not even close to real everyday life anymore. I live in central Florida and have really been struggling with my wardrobe because I find summer capsules to be the most challenging, and that’s what I need for about 80% of the year. I love your videos and the gentle encouragement you provide! This summer I broke my ankle, which is getting better but has turned out to be quite a learning experience. I needed to buy a few dresses to be able to wear over the cast, and lightweight dresses with pockets have been my best friend.
Oh I’m so sorry to hear about your ankle! Glad it’s improving and glad you’ve found a uniform of sorts that fits your season of life. I agree with Summer capsules being the most challenging! I think focusing on lovely, quality pieces that suit your needs (like your dresses with pockets) is the key!
A style journal is very effective for me in determining what cuts, fabrics, and clothing I like. Also, taking a photo of myself daily to reflect on what looks good and what I prefer on myself. Thanks for another great video!
I am wearing tops and capris. Also, shorts on the hot days. Dresses on Sunday. I have weaned down my wardroble, but if something that feels uncomfortable, doesn't fit, I declutter immediately. It has really made a difference.
I agree! Don’t give yourself time to try it again another time or forget how you felt in it. If it costs you your comfort or confidence, it costs too much to keep it!
I looked at my closet the other day and realized my entire summer wardrobe is dresses in shades of red or blue 😅 I’ve always loved saltwater sandals, I might need to try those out for myself. Have fun on vacation!! I’ve already started Fall/Winter dress shopping 🤭 Can’t pass up those thredUP sales
