x 1:56 Heinz Beans - "That's how we got through the war." o There was a long campaign on the show Mad Men about marketing Heinz Beans, and Aaron spit out an awesome pitch on impulse!
The Cadbury Chocolate Factory is in Bourneville Birmingham not Bristol! Dahl went to Repton School and Cadbury sent boxes of chocolates for the boys to try and then they gave the company feedback! That’s how Dahl got a very sweet tooth!
Secret of Yorkshire Pudding is not how long the batter sits for. You can prepare it and put it in the oven in a quick time. The secret is the oven has to be preheated and hot when you put the batter in!
He's partly correct. The batter is best left for a couple of hours in the fridge. The fat should be smoking hot and it only takes around 20 minutes to cook them.
British person here, and even I know Heinz is an American company. We just liked/like their baked beans way more than their own country or any other country on the planet for the matter. But the fact remains that Heinz Baked Beans are actually NOT Bri’ish.
As a English commoner myself he’s another one where I can’t tell if he is naturally posh and occasionally puts on a more common accent…or the opposite? 😂
Pretty sure it's the opposite based on how he sounded when was younger and how he sounds more often. I noticed in this interview he sounds more posh than usual and was confused. It might not be put on, though, some people's accents change easily based on where they've been living/who they've been around
The cadbury factory was in Bournville. Cadbury is now owned by Mondelez, an American company, and many people now say Cadbury isn't the same and is inferior due to the recipe changes.
I thought it was owned by Kraft? And just to make it clear for others, Bourneville is in south Birmingham, which is nowhere near Bristol as mentioned in the video.
Tips have definitely crept on to menus in the UK. The service charge. The only thing that rarely happens is giving up an individual waitress/waiter a tip. Even if an individual is given a tip, they're expected to put it in a shared tip jar.

The UK Cadbury factory was first built in Bristol but then moved to Birmingham 10-20 years ago. Both buildings are massive and really exciting to see in person! Edit: After reading the replies and finding out that I was actually wrong (I hate admitting when I'm wrong, but it's an improvement) I realise that I was brought up with my family saying that there was a bristol cadburys which I have now researched was one of the original Fry's buildings which is now a retirement site. I got a little confused as I went to cadbury in Birmingham a few years back, but I apologise for being wrong. (I was about 9 when I was told this, so I didn't think to actually research it until I read the replies. Again, I'm sorry if this false information offended anyone!)

I agree. I find that their way of talking makes me not trust them, like they may be lying or they are quite self conscious and they try to show a fake version of themselves.
