I agree, though I did like the voicework for Siegfried in SCV. In SC3 he sounds truly tormented by what he did as Nightmare, and some of his lines such as 'Time to die!' are quite uncharacteristic of the Siegfried we know in later games. SC3 was the most complex Siegfried's character ever was, shame he turned into a posterboy paladin instead of dark warrior.
I definitely agree, but I think Roger Craig Smith did a fine job in Soul Calibur IV as well. It's not perfect though. I think as you said, Freeman did the better job. His performance has an emotional heaviness that really translates well to Seigfried's brooding character. That said, I still think Roger Craig Smith's performance was genuine, impactful, and fitting. It's just missing that extra something that Freeman's performance has.

But as the video in the end reflects, the AI is prone to fall victim to optional follow ups to meaty hits since they will try to hit you right after blocking. This is especially true if the follow up is a meaty low.

KuroNoTenno No it doesn't. In SC when you do some attacks you extend your hurtbox during the animation. If a grab hitbox interacts with that hurtbox before your attack hits, you get grabbed, that's how the game works.

Colossus is the most UNIQUE boss in Soul Caliber and the ONLY 'GIANT' boss in Soul Caliber. I bet Tekken used THIS concept for a giant boss battle with AZAZEL from Tekken 6!

The one I'm talking about has all the BS input-reading, PLUS will recover from Guard Break faster than a human (It literally blocked the next horizontal attack right after I got Guard Break on it) PLUS Soul Crush? Yeah, SC will NEVER work if the SC would kill the AI or the AI is otherwise compromised. Out of 17 attempts, I broke its guard with a full gauge (level 1 or 2) 8 times. Of those 8 times, 0 registered the R2 button press while the AI was staggered. It will willfully turn off elements of the game to ensure you lose. Oh, but SC would work fine every other time, when the AI could read inputs and block at will. After loss 20, I gave up. Thankfully, it's not a required mission, so far as I know. That was 20 full attempts, with 5 round wins in total (and you need 2 wins to actually beat the mission). So about 35 losses. (Since it takes 2 losses to get a new attempt, and I won 5 rounds, just never back to back)
I remember when I did this and got locked up all 130 seconds parry battling Cassandra... I just couldn't hit her... but I knew what the ai would do with her after counters so she couldn't really hit me either.. and we just went back and forth... Then she gets easier with 5 seconds left and let me actually hit her a few times. Didn't matter now, time was up. lol

The Iron Sword has an even easier one with L2. Will block the first, but always get hit by the 2nd.
