how is marcy being stabbed in the back lower than the earth queen? the earth queen might have been slightly more graphic, but we cared about marcy, it was a punch to the gut!
Going back a couple of years with this one but "Bravestarr" episode "The Price". It shows a child being tricked into taking drugs and shows his decline throughout the episode with his best friend torn between telling an adult or keeping a promise. The episode ends with the child dying, his mother grief stricken and the friend having to live with the guilt that he should have done something. They even have the episodic moral done at the child's grave.
I remember that episode. It was a sad one, but an important one. We need episodes like that to show us the dark things that are going on in real life and what we need to do to stop them from happening everyday. Fat Albert did one with guns and had a guy killed in the end.
I was also about to mention this episode... at the time many shows had morality lessons bolted on, was a staple of the 80s - but this was the only time I saw any of them actually following through with the object lesson instead of having it solved in a kid friendly way
The Owl House, when it's revealed just HOW depraved and monstrous Belos truly is. It was obvious he was hiding something dark, and him being human all along wasn't too surprising, but I did not think for a moment he would prove to be THAT wretched. It left me at a loss for words. He's like Griffith, Frollo, and Shou Tucker rolled into one.
When you think about it, that Rick and Morty episode ended the way it did because Rick got lazy and decided to just skip town. He could have checked with his counterparts to find out how they fixed it and saved that world. Granted, that wasn't his original universe but he made a point to say they couldn't do that very often.
I am so happy Stepney Gets Lost made the top list at Number 8. I too was scared of it in childhood when watching Spills and Chills, but as of now - I really enjoy the darker tone that's played around. The Smelter's Yard look so hauntingly stunning (and in a sentient engine's eyes, this is pretty much a graveyard for them which is enough to scare them or any viewer). Plus Alec Baldwin's tone is pure Classic par with the dark stuff in Series 5 (my favorite season of the show).
One of the moments that caught me off guard was when Camillot got hit with a Cubitball in Mixels in the gym making the blue team lose and let everyone down. No joke.
Why Mixels should return 1. Fans remembering Mixels 2. Cartoon Network needs to make a reboot of Mixels when they give up on Teen Titans Go 3. 2024 is the 10th anniversary of Mixels 4. What if Calling All Mixels gets a 2nd sequel with series 4 5 and 6 5. What if there is Mixels/Unikitty crossover 6. Lego must make other Mixels like Booger Scrud Blip and Zabo
It's a cartoon miracle that Arnold did not die in space. It's true what they say, don't try this at home. I hope no astronaut will ever try that in real life.
I screamed when Jazz found out Danny’s secret in Danny Phantom and also it was devastating how spectra was using Danny’s emotion and also I was shocked That Danny Phantom was dark dan
I've always felt that the future the Powerpuff Girls run to isn't actually real, just another trick by HIM. After all, he doesn't set about to beat the girls when he attacks, but to break their spirits. And what better way than by trapping them in an illusion of a home they weren't around to protect?
While Zim's Harvest was this level of shocking, I also think the one titled Best Friend was equally shocking, particularly when Zim ripped the poor boy's eyes right out of their shockets
For me the finale of the clone wars seeing ahsoka bury the clones in the aftermath of order 66 and even Vader at th3 crash site holding her light Saber with his eye normal not sith was a good one

@@ExtremeMadnessX and fyi she ISNT toph, she ISNT Katara, and does NOT have the same humour as them. She's an angsty teenager dealing with hormones and the responsibilities of being the avatar. Yeah she has her shining moments throughout the series but ultimately her character doesn't make me like her on the same level as the witty cast of the Aang series.
I thought for sure number one was gonna be Mark taking the Subway in Invincible.
The cartoon prepubescent child Eric Cartman went DARK during the episode “Scott Tenorman Must Die.”

Some cartoon moments really can affect a whole childhood
how is marcy being stabbed in the back lower than the earth queen? the earth queen might have been slightly more graphic, but we cared about marcy, it was a punch to the gut!
Steven scattered jasper is breathless
ALL OF THESE MOMENTS WERE SHOCKING!
Marcy deserved 3rd place on this list. First time I watched that scene, it shocked me, to my core💥
I'm honestly surprised they included a moment from Thomas and Friends on this list. That's a first, in it of itself. And that's pretty shocking.
When you think about it, that Rick and Morty episode ended the way it did because Rick got lazy and decided to just skip town. He could have checked with his counterparts to find out how they fixed it and saved that world. Granted, that wasn't his original universe but he made a point to say they couldn't do that very often.
"The Earth Queen's demise was so brutal, we were left breathless."
Just like her.
My number one is deffo the guard getting wheeled in Infinity Train. That scene was brutal AF
Leave it to Zaheer and Him to leave something truly memorable behind.
Thomas the tank engine was actually pretty dark...
Here’s an honorable mention
A Jawdropping Clue: NINJAGO
The Kabuki Guy is revealed to be Lloyd’s ex-crush Harumi, someone who was confirmed dead
Also honorable mention to the show's first twist: Zane finds out he's a robot
Here’s one regarding Miraculous Ladybug
Unexpected Origins: Miraculous Ladybug
Both Felix Fathom and Adrien Agreste are revealed to be sentibeings
LOL BYE BYE STEPHANIE! IT'S STEPNEY!
THAT WAS INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the moments that caught me off guard was when Camillot got hit with a Cubitball in Mixels in the gym making the blue team lose and let everyone down. No joke.
Why Mixels should return
1. Fans remembering Mixels
2. Cartoon Network needs to make a reboot of Mixels when they give up on Teen Titans Go
3. 2024 is the 10th anniversary of Mixels
4. What if Calling All Mixels gets a 2nd sequel with series 4 5 and 6
5. What if there is Mixels/Unikitty crossover
6. Lego must make other Mixels like Booger Scrud Blip and Zabo

WatchMojo had to leave Courage the Cowardly Dog out, otherwise it would have filled 5 lists by itself.
Nothing shocked me like Airbending asphyxiation until Toga used Uraraka's Quirk...and made that woman go splat.
Flapjack sacrificed: The Owl House
The Pulverizer mutated: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Maude Flanders death: The Simpsons
I've always had the theory that the ones who ended up destroying Townsville in Speed Demon, were the PPG themselves
Camp lazlo when it turns out the scout master wasn’t really the scout master during the series finale
What about what happened in The Dragon Prince, in season 4 episode 4 when Aaravos had the nerve to possess Callum?
I've always felt that the future the Powerpuff Girls run to isn't actually real, just another trick by HIM. After all, he doesn't set about to beat the girls when he attacks, but to break their spirits. And what better way than by trapping them in an illusion of a home they weren't around to protect?
Just because Thomas & Friends is live-action, doesn't mean it's a cartoon.
While Zim's Harvest was this level of shocking, I also think the one titled Best Friend was equally shocking, particularly when Zim ripped the poor boy's eyes right out of their shockets
Regular show pops is immortal and has a twin brother
Dark Harvest is even darker when you know it inspired a real life murderer
I was honestly rooting for Zaheer when he killed the Earth Queen.
How could you leave Finn losing his arm off the list?!
It's scary when seeing Zaheer has killed The Earth Queen, pretty terrifying but I like the legend of Korra series.
Death of Asami's father was way more brutal in my opinion.
Ι vividly remember most of them. :o
Did anyone immediately have a flashback to that whole magic school bus episode
Some were shocking
That’s insane!
Seeing marcy get stabbed definitely caught me off guard.
For me the finale of the clone wars seeing ahsoka bury the clones in the aftermath of order 66 and even Vader at th3 crash site holding her light Saber with his eye normal not sith was a good one
I love THE SIMPSONS and SOUTH PARK.
I view The Principal and the Pauper as the literal worst thing to ever happen to the Simpsons
*WHAT THE WHAT?!?!* 😳😳😳😳😳😵😵😵😵😵
Gravity falls should’ve been here with the northwest mansion moment and same thing for owl house with collector splattering belos.
PLOT TWIST!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t mean to be that guy, but the Thomas and Friends episode that was used isn’t a cartoon, it was a show made with models for many years
Yep, from Seasons 1-11. Season 12 mixed models and CGI before Seasons 13-24, in which the show was full CGI.
