  • This Tribal Village Setup Is Amazing!
I got overwhelmed with happiness at the Kadayawan Village in Davao City, Mindanao...
They had this amazing village setup featuring the 11 Tribes of the Region and I had SO MUCH FUN learning more about them. One man was playing the happiest music and it made my day so beautiful! This whole experience was beautiful!
This is just a raw video of my time exploring and learning. This will be "Part 1".
    Super Apir!

Those tribe people are national treasures. Something that Filipinos should respect and preserve their cultures.

Analyn Villanueva I agree.. and yes we reserve our traditional culture 😊 and I'm proud of it 😊😊 salamat dahil na appreciate mo Kung ano man Ang nakita mo pero sa iba I don't think so. 😔

I think converting them to Christianity is a big mistake because they will soon abandon their culture and try to assimilate to the greater population. The worship songs to their gods and ancestors then become taboo and thus would never be heard again. I wish the majority population will just let them live their lives, free from christian missionary works so that they can practice their traditional religion in the purest form. I have seen how their culture have been compromised because those new christians among them tend to view the traditional religion as paganism and satanic and thus abandoning a very beautiful culture altogether.

@@latesukiyaki mandaya are converted to christianity but we are still practicing our traditions.. we are preserving our culture and we are always proud that we are from a peace loving tribe.

@UCaSS70F1SL0mbOYlTaYIy-g we still have mangkatadong teaching the young ones, we still practice praying to anitos and killing animals as a sacrifice, we still do the dawot especially during an important tribal event or meeting, we still practice tribal war but since we don't have enemy ( except the npa) we just just let the tribal warriors do their jobs to protect us and we are civilized individuals who still preserve the beautiful culture of mandaya tribe..

That might explain why years ago while in Thailand an American man came up to me asking if I'm American. He said every foreigner he approached and asked that question claims to be Canadian. That was at the height of the last war with Iraq. Could be because Canadians got better things to do with their money than start unnecessary wars.

I hope all tourist are like you kulas, you just not learn the culture but you also embrace it. You are not like those pedophiles and spoiled brats foreigners who only wants sex, party, instagram pictures and TH-cam views.,who always complain how poor and shitty the Philippines is. But you are an exception, you appreciate this little things which we Filipino's value most, our culture it's all we have Kyle together with our food, songs and smiles. As a Filipino thank you very much Kyle., keep that goodvibes coming,.
      P. S.
I don't hate foreigners just the racist and rude ones. And you and tala are not one of them. Both of you have a special place in every Filipino's heart. :)

Maybe you have forgotten already but this was my wish (or request) to you during the first Kadayawan: to feature each tribe. Thank you Kyle. I am very proud of each tribe we have in the Philippines. The Ata ladies in this video, their laughter and smiles (so are other tribes) are priceless. May they preserve their culture, guard it against outside influence. That is our identity, that is what we Filipinos are.

I am so thankful to you, Kayle Jennermann. Really put tears in my eyes seeing the changes how you showcases the diverse of Filipino, it helps all Filipino to become as one nation, no matter what tribe or ethnicity they are. God bless you, I do understand why you want to become Filipino, because I as one live there when i was in my teenager life. Now that we live in US is so different always busy there's no time for family bonding.

If God permit, 1 more year. I wish to invite you to my hometown in Luzon. Cabiao, Nueva Ecija Philippines. Boarder of Pangpangga The culinary of the Philippines. I will keep in touch.

7:05 The elder laughing like a kid when you said "bodots" made my day. On a more serious note, the NCR government should REALLY make far greater effort to preserve these cultures. They are dying out. Those songs, those instruments, the designs, the oral histories, they need to be studied and recorded for future generations.
