    To anyone who needs the stitch multiples: I worked it out to be in multiples of 14 + 9 stitches (add one chain for turning in case you're not using the foundation single crochet stitch) :D

      @janedemoratti8981 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you, Shehzeen. That has saved me some work. I have just crocheted along and written down the instructions with UK terminology otherwise I would probably go mad. :-) Very kind of you. X

      Thank you! I've started a row of foundation single crochet but want to alter the size, so I just use 14 + 9? Much appreciated! :)

    Many thanks for a great tutorial. Such a lovely stitch.
    I can see that some people have been a bit confused by Row 6. It is, of course, a repeat of Row 2 BUT Row 2 was worked over a base of dc (sc US). What we're dealing with now is a lot of 5 ch spaces, some with dcs (scs) separating them. So when we're directed to skip stitches it's probably confusing for inexperienced crocheters. So I thought I'd clarify Row 6.
    Row 6: 6 chain. *Into the 3rd ch of the 1st 5ch space (between 2 petals) work a dtr (tr), 5 chain and another dtr (tr). Now we will make a 9-loop cluster as follows. Working into the top of the last dtr (tr) you just made, make a beginning cluster, then work a cluster in the 3rd ch of the next 5 ch space. Skip the single crochet and make your 3rd cluster into the 3rd ch of the next 5 ch loop. You should of course have 9 loops to draw through. Now, into the loop at the top of the cluster group you just made, work a beginning cluster. Repeat from * until you get to the last loop (between the petals) and into the 3rd ch work a dtr (tr), 5 chain and another dtr (tr). Chain 1, and into the 3rd from top turning chain of the row below work a dtr (tr).
    Hope this encourages those who were frustrated and gave up to have another go because it really is very pretty. I sampled it in a very fine cotton and thicker yarn and it looks great.
