The reason you’re surprised by Warhammer is because you’re using a very different unit: in previous simulations I’ve seen you use Guardsmen (like the Kriegsmarines and Cadians), which are basically normal humans with a laser rifle - one of those is approximately equivalent to a Star Wars clone trooper, or Dwarves Which don’t actually come from WH40k at all but from fantasy Warhammer - one of those is basically equivalent to a LOTR dwarf. In this battle you used Space Marines, who are genetically engineered super-soldiers wearing almost impervious armour and basically firing explosive missiles from their guns - there’s no equivalent to those in Star Wars or LOTR, but each is easily worth 10+ guardsmen, probably much more. I think an equivalent to a Space Marine would probably be like a small walker unit from Star Wars or a tank or something.
Adeptus astartes: Augmented, humans with improved biology, who survived trials with a survival rate of 10% or less before becoming space marines. They have redundant organs, like two hearts, and have acid spit, adaptive skin, and lungs. A standard space marine is a walking light tank that can run at 35-45(60 max) mph, armed with .75 cal gyro jet rounds, which can lift on average 2.7 tons(5-6 max). Bolter ammunition varies from diamond tip, mass reactive, poison, and ext. Their ceramite, and adamantium armor, is heat absorbent, and strongest at the pauldrons which can take some tanks shells(A shot from a tank can still kill them). There's also the stronger terminator power armor, devastator marines(heavy bolter), and assault marines(Jetpacks).
Your average space marine is the equivalent of twenty-thirty guardsmen(Dorn stated eleven guardsmen with a decent ambush could take a space marine).Space marine armor has been cracked, and wearer almost killed by in atmosphere heights, penetrated and killed by falling stalagmite, by the claws/beaks of non genetically engineered/altered animals, and a space marine has even been killed by a wooden spear, and a single lucky las shot. A normal Unaugmented, or power armored human with enough skill is able to duel them as well.
Star wars does have space marine equivalents. Phase II/III dark troopers, oppressor-7, oppressor-9, purge trooper, inquisitorium, dark nova, blackhole, exogen, and glory class dark troopers. There's also the zero G assault stormtroopers, heavy skytrooper, and FLTCH battle droids.
You Nailed it. As a massive fan of 40K, Star Wars & LOTR I have to say there is really no equivalent general unit to a Space Marine in full Armor let alone several thousand of them. Space Marines as pointed out are literally walking tanks, 8 feet tall genetically engineered super beings who have multiple hearts and almost impenetrable armor which also further enhances their strength to nearly god like levels compared to a mere mortal. Oh yeah and if they don't die in battle (which unless they are fighting other space marines happens fairly rarely) they are functionally immortal because they are designed to be able to survive and heal from almost any wound. So yeah not really fair even compared to droids. And my god if you brought in some of the Adeptus Mechanicus Titan legions which are gigantic war robots often referred to as God Machines then yeah, no one could beat them! Bred for war, the ultimate weapon, IN THE NAME OF THE EMPEROR!
@@nerdgasam6838 Space marines are walking LIGHT tanks. They are definitely penetrable. Their strength isn't all that either. Read my comment above. There are blatantly power rangers(no amps) that could easily beat a space marine in arm wrestling. They also aren't functionally immortal either because they can be aged to death within thousands of years. You talk of space marines, as if they were custodes, or primarchs.
@@nerdgasam6838 The phase 2 dark trooper was capable of surviving a boulder(10-40 tons) falling on it, and then lifting it off itself. It also has deflector shields. Both the phase 2 and 3 are armed with assault cannons, which are rapid fire armor piercing explosive plasma bolts that are faster than some modern bullets. The phase 1 through 3 have phrik armor. A container made of phrik alloy survived the destruction of alderaan intact. Phase three is also armed with blaster cannons, shoulder mounted missile launcher racks, thermal detonators, fragmentation, and concussion grenades. Phase III serves as a droid exo suit.
Those last few Star Wars units remind me of that time there was one Persian soldier left alive and he ranked up thousands of kills

I think you need to position archers closer in the battle so they are more productive early on. Also have LOTR hero’s fighting melee units more than range untis

This is lore accurate, Star Wars don't stand a chance even against just the Cadians and the Kreigs. The Space Marines didn't even have their Primarch's, Big E, their vehicles or their heavy weaponry. It was like a warm up exercise for them before a fight against the Tyranids/Orcs/Eldar/Necrons

About the number of Star Wars kills by the way: All deaths caused by fall damage, drowning and such is always attributed to team 1. Thus they always end up with the most kills in battles like this.
Nowadays I'm usually putting like 5 persians in team one; then use team 2, 3 and 4 for real armies. That way team one acts as a "accidental deaths"-counter.
They really need to update LOTR units, like get the Oliphaunts, Ents, Maia, balrog, trolls, Nazghuls, witch king etc

Also: Generally speaking 1: Star Wars SHOULD beat the "Imperial Guard" MOST of the time, because the IG are your "generic human" with some "more modern level" gear in regard to armor, with a touch more "umph" weapons overall. (Laser rifles vs modern rifles type of "umph".)
Generally Speaking 2: If your Chaos Marines are red, they are either going to be "Korn Berserkers" (Chaos god of War), or "World Eaters" depending on the gear and minor armor changes. While Berserkers and Eaters are both "Korn" related.... World Eaters are more or less just about "conflict overall".... Berserkers are going into combat SPECIFICALLY to appease (and make sacrifices TO) the Chaos God Korn. (Eaters are more about war overall, Berserkers are more about having a "religious" purpose for fighting).
Generally Speaking 3: Black/White Space Marines are more often than not "Inquisitor" marines. Meaning they are fighting for the Empire to "defeat all heresy". But considering "Heresy" in WH40K is whatever the Empire SAYS is "heresy", the Inquisitor forces are known to kill anything, and everything, that gets in their way... including the elimination of entire planets to "remove the stain of heresy".
The Death Korps of Krieg is an Imperial guard infantry regiment based on German Soldiers from WW1. You refer to them as Kriegsmarine which was the German Navy in WW2.

So Warhammer 40k is kinda crazy. Think when you were a kid and everyone had their little action figures making them fight against one another, but because you were a kid you would make up their powers and their abilities to try and outdo one another, that's Warhammer 40k just with a lot of backstory. Like describing a Space Marine sounds like the grown-up version of describing your action figures "See my guys are eight foot tall demi-gods with multiple hearts, lift 50 tons casually on a tuesday, wear ancient power armour that can deflect shots from lasers, can move at 60 mph, carry a big chainsaw sword, shoot guns with .75 caliber exploding tank rounds as ammo , sometimes has a healing factor, and can hear heartbeats half a mile away. " Space Marines are split up into different Legions and Chapters. Meaning they all specialize in separate aspects of war, the Ultramarines (the big blue Smurfs themselves) are kinda the poster boys of Space Marines since they are just good at everything (not excellent at everything but good). So a quick way to figure out if they are Loyalist Marines or Traitors is to look for spikes. Lots of Spikes usually means Chaos
Don't even get me started on the Custodes, Primarchs, or literally any other faction in Warhammer 40k. Even the "normal humans" of the guardsmen are absolute crazy people. Kriegsmen have almost zero regard for their lives and die in numbers that would make the Soviets blush, Cadians are so crazy determined that when their planet was literally dying and the planet's crust was disintegrating under them the Cadians were still shooting at their enemies (Their planet fell apart before the Cadians did), the Katachans are an entire people who are basically just Rambos, and there are so many more Guardsmen Regiments all some extreme aspect to them. Yeah Warhammer 40k is crazy and that's kinda the fun of it.

"That" is doing a lot of work there. I think for the vast majority of people Warhammer 40k is pretty crazy especially compared to Star Trek or Star Wars. Sure Star Trek and Star Wars probably have some entities that are likely more powerful but you don't get the detail of trillions of people fighting in hopeless wars. There is no idealism in Warhammer 40k. there is no good faction they are all horrible and all throw away billions of lives in a single solar year with few compunctions. One of the largest conflicts like the Clone Wars or later Yuuzhan Vong War which were pretty significant events within Star Wars is not at all special if you were to put it in 40k. Unlike Star Wars and Star Trek 40k focuses typically on ground wars and less so on space battles. Its pretty easy to watch 500 ships fire at one another and we have seen that, but watching 5 million Guardsmen charge a single trench line and cutdown to maybe the hundred thousands is not a sight that most people have ever seen described in a sci-fi universe. @@myduckisonqauck7227

First off, the yuuzhan vong War had nearly a hundred times more casualties than the horus heresy(You know the big civil war still effects modern 40k), despite the heresy lasting two years longer. The first imperial civil war likely jad more casualties too. The empire had 1.5 million full member worlds and 69 million vassals, protectorates, and colonies. The imperium has a million, single digit millions at best. All it takes is a sqaud of federation marines to take over 20th century earth. It would take more than a few chapters of space marines to do that with no orbital support. Federation, and borg carry around fire power you'd only see on an imperium battleship. The human empire from dr who destroyed a whole galaxy to defeat the cybermen.
40k is crazy in the sense, the characters, and how things in the setting work are crazy, but not crazy scale wise.

If we're going lore wise then not really, Warhammer 40k didn't even get any of it's vehicles, heavy weaponry or any of the other Space Marines chapters. The Cadians and Kreigs, who are just normal soldiers in their universe, with their trusty lasguns would be enough and fought much worse battles. The Cadian's were in a war so brutal that their planet literally broke apart before they did, having to evacuate while still fighting. They have to be so strong because everything else in their universe is that strong.
You needed to add some commando troops and stuff to balance out the battle

Tbh for warhammer you should have more guardsmen and death korps and significantly less marines to make it more balanced and accurate
I noticed the Star Wars kill counter was still going crazy after their troops read as 0, so I'm guessing they were getting so many kills that the counter had to take a while to individually tally them. It must not be immediate.
Shame there is no Fallout brotherhood of steel units. That would be fun to see go up against the other fantasy factions.
Yah really got to put LOTR archers actually in range of the other units. They always spend most of the time hiding in the back, and seem to be only in range when all the melee troops are down.
