my food processor does the same thing, the fuse would blow when we also were shredding cheese, your idea on using an external fuse is an excellent idea, so i will be doing the same fix, thank for sharing your idea on a great way to fix the food processor
@9694maw, thanks so much for the positive feedback! These machines are great but blow fuses way too easily. The external fuse makes it a lot easier to confidently use the machine, know that if it blows you can fix it in about 20 seconds. thanks a lot for sharing this great idea! I was hesitant to "just" replace the fuse, because I was afraid it would just blow again and then you'd have to do all the soldering etc. again. Now I installed the external fuse holder and it works just fine, and I do have a couple of fuses spare in case another replacement is needed. The PCB board layout on the european version looks quite different, but I was able to figure out where the wires need to go.
