You get different colored eggs from different breeds of chickens. There is one breed of chicken, the ameraucana, that is known for laying colored eggs, and they can lay blue colored eggs. You also got the Maran that can lay a dark chocolate color egg. Olive eggers lay green to olive colored eggs. There is no difference in taste (unless you are getting farm fresh eggs) or calories from regular white eggs to colored eggs. The only difference is color of the shell.
