I have a boxer/pit. At his highest weight he was 92 pounds. He now weights 88. (Yayy!!, vet wants him at 75). He is by my side every minute of the day. He does sleep in our bed but hogs up all the room! We have a king size bed, but we sleep at the very edge. If my husband or I roll over, we're on the floor. He also has his own pillow, but prefers ours. I'm not saying he's spoiled, but he is.

I got him a dog bed & tons of toys but he doesn't play with them. I treat him like the king he is to me. When I come home from work, he gets his plain cheeseburger (Sunday's only). We have a special bond. 🐶💙

My husband did not like the idea of our dog sleeping or even laying on our bed. But a few days ago, he allowed her to lay with me when i was very sick. Now my husband likes it and could not sleep without her! Haha 😳😂😂😍

I don’t even buy a dog bed for my dog, he is my baby and part of my family, so he is sleeping with me from day one.
My dog has a bed, right next to my bed but he sleeps with me for ten years now.

I totally understand. But our dog loves to go in her little dog bed in our room when she wants to have private time. Just like us they sometimes won't be alone in a cool place. I'm sad when she goes away but I know she will come back

My dogs always sleep with me. I know I'm protected from danger because they instinctually protect me, and I feel safe because my Doberman and Pit Bull hear everything and will rouse me in case of danger, allowing me time to grab my loaded .38 Special on the night stand.

Ive always slept with dogs. I'm 69 n when i was little, a mistake after 5 older siblings mum must have been fed up with a tot having nightmares. So, Dorothy the dog usrd to go yo bed with me, result good night's sleep all round. Ive always had dogs in my bed ever since. There warm, you feel safe n never lonely. Highly recommended. PS. I love the smell of warm fur n paws. It smells of baked bread. Heaven.
Marcia Hill . Omg! I always thought my toy poodle smells like cookies! I thought I was being silly.. This is the first time I hear a comment like that😀I love the smell of my baby, his soft fluffy hair and how he sleeps on his back with his legs spread out. I think he is trying to imitate me!

My dog also sleeps with me. He has his own side of the bed for himself, sleep covers and everything. His brother used to crawl inside the covers. They are both so sweet! ❤️❤️🐶🐶
My Cookie (70lbs rescued Pit) is currently cuddled up between my wife Kathie and I I as I type this.
My two toy poodles and a mini pig climb on my bed when it is time to sleep at night. They sometimes snore or sleeptalk. They go pee around 5:30 in the morning. I always go with them together to clean their feet and the behind. : ) And we all come back to bed and continue sleeping. They make my bed the most peaceful and coziest place on earth for me.! : )
Thought people who slept with their dogs were insane. Swore when we got Odin, our jrt rescue, he’d sleep downstairs in his house. That lasted until he was house trained. (About 3-4 months.) Now if he wants to sleep in his house I’m bummed! Maybe it’s the unconditional love I didn’t get as a child because I wasn’t accepted in my ‘pack’ that makes me so happy I have a pack of my own now. When we cuddle, I’m in nirvana!

Uh, actually it's their house....we pay their rent/mortgage. Dog's know the secret to life. Get a human they will pay for everything. hehehe My dog is so smart I have gone an picked up all sorts of courses to look after her.

I had my first puppy when I was 6. Made him his own bed but he always slept by my feet. From then on I only had japanese style beds so they don't have to jump. 20 years later, all my dogs have slept in the same bed as me.
My dog died in January he was 15.5, we had him since he was a few weeks old. When he was able to still make it up the stairs he would always sleep in my moms bed and sometimes jump into mine. He would always sit in the side that you usually sleep on and meave sure his head read on a pillow.🤣🤣 The pack thing makes sense, because sometimes he would make me follow him into her room so everyone read in one place. I should have done that more often looking back. I miss him, but I loved this video.

can i know how to train your dogs so that you can leave with the house without them having separation anxiety? because my puppy sleeps with me too and he always follows me everywhere
@@brie7361 - that is a hard one actually. These are pack animals, so when one is missing they are inclined to worry, this very natural. You can try medicine from your vet or crates to assist with this separation anxiety. Thankfully I have access to dog sitters when I travel extended; I get reports that he is depressed the entire time and looks out window for my return. We only use anxiety med when he is left alone in his crate. Enjoy the love they have for us and do you best to appease it in the kindest manner possible. Hope my comments help!

@@brie7361 he has mixed emotions about the crate. He will play inside and likes to open the door of it. But when he is in it while we are gone he just barks and then listens for our response over and over. We have put a camera up so we can check on him - we do not talk to him with the camera as this upsets him more. We keep his time to a max of 3 hours because he knocks over or destroys any water placed for him. We also have a small fan on it to keep him from getting to hot as he does get worked up. All of this led us to the anxiety medicine to help him relax during crate time. You can also crate time for 30 or so minutes while you are home doing chores, etc. to assist them getting used to the crate. This can take some of the negative away in their minds. Facebook has a group called - separation anxiety in dog support group

We have a mixed bulldog/pug. He is so lovable & rotten it is indescribable. Does not shed much but get hot very easily. Sleeps on my floor in the summer. In bed with me the rest of the year. Does not get up until I do. Favorite dog I have ever had.

A blanket. This has been the best solution for me.
They absolutely love the comfort and the insulation and security of the sofa ( this the side raised arms and back) Plus you can sit on the sofa and use it as well.
My two girls have lovely dog beds but usually climb in mine with me... love it it’s the best part of the day most days... 😊

I have a dog he loves my family and he loves us
My dog started sleeping in my room on my bed last year after the Fourth of July. She has associated me and my room with safety and being a calm place. I don’t have a choice in keeping her out bc she is a huge 85 pound gentle giant that will knock your door open in order to get in my room. If she ever feels panicked, she will go right to my room and demand the fan be turned on the loudest setting.
It's 0215 (2:15am) and my dog Nicole, (Chi/Ter/Pug mix, 20 pounds) are hitting the hay as soon as I'm done typing this. Nicole is like a magnet and I"m steel so we always have to be together. I sleep in a King size bed so I put a medium size dog pillow/bed in her space on the bed it just bothers me when she starts to invade my space as I have chronic pain in my legs/back due to a broken back in 2001 and after 6 spine surgeries, you get the picture. If she just touches my legs it makes my legs burn bad then if she really lays any weight on my legs or sides I'm in pain from the top of my head to the tip of my toes. Speaking of which, I just took my nightime does of pain killers so we're off to bed and sweet dreams. Luv to all you dog lovers and their masters.

I've had my rottweiler/German shepherd/pit puppy since she was born and she sleeps cuddled right up next to me every single night even now that she's almost as big as me And I love every second of it I've always loved sleeping with my dogs and petting their ears till they fall asleep it's very comforting

I have a queen size bed to myself, so my two small dogs(Jack Russell/rat terrier mix and Chihuahua) have plenty of room to be comfortable with out disturbing mine or each other sleep. They will sleep with me at night then find their beds or the big Joe bean bags to nap in.

My 6 month old puppy gets on the bed to give me a cuddle before he goes to sleep, he then gets off the bed and sleeps next to me on the floor. Then when I wake up in the morning, he has managed to get on the bed without waking me up and I find his head resting upon mine. There he sleeps until I wake up.

I just adopted a 1year old male maltese shi tzu mix. He wasn't considerd a green level adoptable dog as he had anger issues and aggressive with strangers as he is a covid dog and wasn't socialized everyone who came into look at him he went crazy and even bite one everyone said he was to much to handle for them the foulle people he seemed to get along with turned on them once they tried to walk him or hold his leash. Ne and my parents went and he was perfect came up and sniffed me and let me pet him and was fine when she handed me the leash to walk him the were so happy I was first one to be able to walk him ect then we went into adoption room with a couch sat down and he came right over had me pick him up and he laid down on my lap while I pet him they were so happy woth how good he was with me that they let me take him home that day and was deal I though woukd be atleast 6-700 dollars but only cost me $400 considering they gave him his shots and gave him a micro chip with our info plus nuterd him. Had him about a week now and he is my shadow follow me everywhere if he is on the couch getting belly rubs from my mom and I walk down the hall he has to follow me when it's bed time he has to sleep in my bed at my feet if my parents have him in their room to sleep he will just start crying and scratching at the door until they let him out to come into my room. For first 15min he will come lay beside me to cuddle then once I turn off lights on TV he moves to the foot of the bed to sleep.
We are teaching a puppy to sleep in my daughters bed because he is training to be her alert dog as well. That is what the trainer wants but i am having issues with him staying in her bed and not climbing into mine half through the night. Her bed is just beside mine so he climbs up to mine in the night. Any ideas on how to stop that?

I watched this whole video and all I can remember is my dog sleeps with me because he loves me!
I swore I would never sleep with a dog! Well, five years ago I brought home a service puppy in training. He was to help me with different tasks. The night I brought him home he was so little, and I was sure he missed his mother. He was like a deer in headlights. So...I put him in bed with me. I gave him his own spot covered with a sheet and went to sleep as did I. The next morning I had an exuberant puppy wanting tummy rubbing and to play. He let out an emotive string of vocalizations and a little bark or two.
Today, five years later he has learned the tasks I needed help with and matured into a civil dog. He still sleeps in our bed. He on his own washable pad and me in a sleeping bag. He guards me. I had house guests once and because of a plumbing snafu my guests had to use my bathroom. My guest availed themselves to my facilities but my dog was barking and warning me of the intrusion. Seems I forgot to inform him of the arrangement.
Sharing a bed with my dog isn't confined to night time. When I take an afternoon nap he acts as the sentry and arranges himself at the foot of the bed. I have to say the bond between my partner and I is quite strong. We make a great team. I believe this partly because we sleep like dogs would in a den. About germs, parasites and other nasties....? He is groomed (brushed at least once a week) and I clean his paws and keep them groomed. If he gets wet I blow dry him till he's dry again. So never say never, you just dont know when you'll eat those words.

I have a Chihuahua, shes very sweet, not mean like others. And she likes to rest her head on my stomach or curls up beside the place on the bottom of my knees. But the problem is that i move around a lot in my sleep and toss and turn and i dont wanna squish her bc shes my baby. What do i do?
Our dog loves to sleep with my brother, she's very small, short legs so to make sure she doesn't hurt herself when trying to jump down we have made her a ladder she can climb. With me sleeps my cat, specially in winter. I have to constantly wash the bedsheets, her comforter and her fur to make sure my asthma doesn't act up... Among other things like flees etc

My Hazel which is my siberian Husky does not sleep with me and my husband because she gets hot quickly. So she sleeps in our master bedroom with her own cushy bed which she loves soo much. She does climb on our couch or on our bed to relax and wants some love. But she understands bedtime is in her bed.

I had a poodle family for many years and let them sleep on my bed... now i have a 1yr old min schnau, he sleeps on my bed, i feel comfort and protection. He loves and trusts me.. such a special bond. Unlike some men, they get you to bed and i've been treated like dirt, those SOB's are unwilling to devote towards marriage n stuff.. maybe i'm at fault, but am glad i've not been let down by luv n devotion of my furbabies..x
