Great video. Something else to try on busier days and tighter spots like up by the trussle is a 3way with a weight and like a 5ft lead to a crank bait. It’s very effective and usually out produces two rods with leadcore. Plus you can hit tighter spots and hot areas more often. Glad you got out.
@@positivelyfishing1810 depending on the current 1 to 2 oz bell sinker I try to maintain contact with the bottom and pump the rod usually get hit on the fall back. Vary your boat speed to maintain bottom contact I only use one rod but it’s usually being hit.
@@wiscowalleye7954 Have a lot of luck with this in cooler water. 2-4 oz is what I usually have to run. Another thing you can do is 3 way with a Shad Rap or something on the short lead, floating rap on the back. Productive and frequent doubles on 1 rod.
Thanks for the St Croix tips,I plan to do some fall fishing there. Not sure where to start but probably Hudson or Prescott.
Both areas can be good!
Nice to see someone on YT fishing my area.
Thanks! Say "hi" if you ever see is on the water!!

Interesting! I'll have to try that. What weights do you like for that?

Bottom bounce
Nice video Pauly! It's been awhile since I've been out trolling Lead Core on the St. Croix. Will have to try to make it happen this summer.
Honestly, I should fish there much more often considering how close it is.
Nice job on the leadcore!
You need to get back out there! What has it been? 4 years?
Nothing like traffic fishing the croix!!!!
Memorial Day weekend!!
I love the old Lindy rig ✅🍻
Classic! I wanted to fish it more, but the wind had other plans...
Bottom bounce it!!!
banger vid! new supporter here!
Thanks!!
Nice! What depth were you targeting
About 18-20 feet.
"Trolling Lead Core for Walleyes.............. And Long-Arming Like A Pro" in the video promo still............
Haha! I guess that's just how I hold fish.
how fast are you trolling
Upstream at about 2.4 mph. Sometimes a bit faster and sometimes a bit slower. 2.4 seemed like the sweet spot.
You run fluorocarbon leader? How long?
Yes, I always run a fluorocarbon leader. Probably about 10 feet or so. It gets shorter as the snags start to add up...
