I have such a smile on my face. Y'all taking care of each other. I appreciate you highlighting Ryan's landfill and the importance of his business. What Ryan does led me to our local C&D landfill where I've been able to unload yard debris. Thanks for sharing this, Chris.
Can't Beat A CAT, That Machine Was Built In The Aurora, Il. Plant In The Late 70's. My Brother Was The Line Supervisor For That Machine! Man That Thing Brings Back GREAT Memories For Me!! Later Brother, Peace-Out!!
I'd love to see C&C restore that 235 that's the first excavator I ever saw as a kid so it holds a special place in my heart as well as the old cat 950 loader
Dang, right in my childhood. Granddad had a 225 then a 225D LC for his excavation business. Nothing will make me smile like seeing an old 200 series still able to do some work.
I really enjoy seeing old equipment that’s still able to pull their weight and get the job done when needed. That excavator just needs a little TLC but she still has a lot of life left in her. That bulldozer can still push with the best of them. That’s a big landfill with a lot of moving parts. He not only runs a landfill, he produces a lot of much needed materials.
My dad operated a Cat 245B for years digging in the local gravel pit in Oregon. I used to go down to after school and ride on dad's lap on the 245B. It was the first excavator I operated. I would go down with him to change the buckets occasionally on a satutday morning. I thought it was incredible to operate such a large machine. That is when he taught me how to operate one of the loaders at the pit.
Same as my machine, the oil leak is coming from the brake between the drive motor and final drive. Run mine every year on the farm, placed a 18000lb septic tank with it this year!
Just think, after running your 220, the cat 235 seems like a brand new machine 😂😂. You need something like that for when you have a house to tear down for Geoff. You wouldn't have to worry about damages 😂😂. I'm glad you are having fun on vacation.
A couple of grand old machines which have seen many obvious hours of work - still alive even with 'stick' stoppers. Mr Digg's business has come along way from the early days of both.
Worked for company that had 4 of those old girls, that went through a full cat rebuild. In a ten hr day the fuel truck would need the top u off twice a day. Great old machine
@triplehelper6944 most 3208 engines in the truck side only had about 250hp in the marine side they would be up to 600hp. Plus it's a V8 engine. I personally dislike all v8 diesels. 32 series 34 series and 35 series. Inline diesels are just more reliable in my opinion.
I had a 225 and a 235 back in the day, I sold the 235 to a guy in New Mexico, and the 225 is still kicking around, sold it to the neighbor 20+ years ago, old iron runs forever.
Hey chris & Ryan !! The 1st cat 235 was 1981 at 37 tons weight !!! Good to see her working again for sure !!! ""OL"" Diesel Creek Matt would be sad to see her go for scrap metal !!! Thanks for showing the landfill operation again !! 👍👍👍👍👍
@@TheRealMrDiGG Well !! Tried to find the date for your Dad's dozer ,,but No record of it !! Have a good day & Thanks for your time with Chris !! 👍👍👍👍👍
That excavator had really straight sheet metal for it's age and the motor sounded good. A little work and it would look better, but a long ways from the comfort and speed of the new machines.
Back in the 80s' I drove a roll-off for Roy Strom Company and we had an account with Planters. A couple of times a month we'd haul a 20-yarder full of all types of peanut products to the dump. Talk about a popular pile of refuse, all types of peanut products with little more wrong with them than a crooked label on the jars of every type of peanuts you can imagine or the bags, although perfectly sealed, had gone through the sealer when the bagging material was crooked. The crowd around the pile of stuff was insane, even the dozer guys were elbows deep. We would tell the spotters what we had and they would have us dump off to the side and no pusher ever touched the pile. It would disappear over the course of the day until ever item salvageable had been picked up.
Nothing like the purr of a Big Cat. May need some fluids! No kidding. "Old girl ain't fast anymore but she's strong". Bet it was really loud. Ryan is a lot of fun. Chris I know you have enjoyed your time away to relax and catch up with some Buds. Have a safe trip home.
Brings back memories of being waist deep in a swamp, helping walk a track back on a 40 ton Liebherr. The worst part was that the operator who dropped the track knew he had a faulty tensioner before he went in there! 😒
That is a long way to drive it in this condition I hope the trailer is closer. The white is foamy hydraulic oil. Wow no Pony on the old dozer, I suspect it would be easier for a single engine for earlier Japanese designers in the early day when they needed them everywhere. Nice show. I thought you were buying the first one. Such a nice one to work.
CAT 3406...It produces a horsepower of 310-425 hp and a torque of 1090-1460 lb-ft. This engine was produced from 1973 to 1987 and was primarily used in heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and generators.
I used to operate these cats in Australia about 35 years ago Cleary brothers in Wollongong had a 235 on a river bed it started to sink in the soft sand had to drag it with the bucket as it was sitting on the belly pan it was a touchy situation but got it out ok
Chris, i Think this Cat Excavator make a good Picture on Your Farm by the Dragline.. Shop this Cat and load him on a Long Loader. And the Brother from Betty . Two Machine for Your Museum. And You ❤️
Like LD18 don't understand old dozers.. Let's see.. Betty, D7 both around 50 and the D6 well in her 40's... Cats don't die.. they have 9 lives... and that Komatsu was built when they built them to last.
I really enjoy the love you have for the "Old" Machines Chris !! I bet everywhere you go , if there is an Old Machine around, you have to go check it out and get it fired up and give it a good test run !! lolol... Man, don't it seem like the old machines just have the Power !! that Grunt to them !! I mean , the New Machines are Great , with all the Bells and Whistles that come on them today but, just not the same as the ones from the old days !! Great as Always Man, Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
Remember while back you visited this land fill site chris you going to buy chris add to your collection of antique excavators if Brian wants to let it go ..
Lick of paint, bit of track tension. put it in Richey Bros. Matt will buy it... 😄
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Aww hell Matt or Sam would buy it as is! Things mint!
Skip the paint
Lol
Andrew says fresh paint makes it look freshly painted

thats cool to know!
I'd love to see C&C restore that 235 that's the first excavator I ever saw as a kid so it holds a special place in my heart as well as the old cat 950 loader
I was thinking the same thing! Bring this old iron back to life!
Great series. Thanks for taking us along. Old iron rules!
I remember when you visited this land fill the first time, it's amazing all the "junk" tossed out.

Careful Ryan, Chris will want to add it to his collection, museum!!
😂 I was thinking that too
i know right?! lol
I enjoy collaboration videos. They must be absurdly complicated to pull together. I appreciate that.
That old kitty-Cat just needs some love! She still purrs like a kitten!
Always great to see you guys hang out and play with the old machines. You guys need dirt perfect there too.
Sure made for great viewing bro and cheers for letting us tag along. Safe travels y'all. Ken.

Matt from dieselcreek would love this piece of equipment awesome to see the old girl.
lots of fun at the recycling plant. thanks for sharing Chris..
Ran one of these jewels in the 80’s. No emission crap on these 👍🏽
. . .this is gold, . .reminiscing on older machines. . . keep 'Em ticking over !
Can not believe those old dogs still move. So cool! Thanks for the ride my friend.
Should restore that old Cat 235!
agree!
Them old 3406B are amazing engines. Sounds like that pump is screaming for oil.
235's had 3306 engines not 3406 engines. The Cat 225's had the 3208. The 245's had the 3406 engines.
That 225 must not have much power. My fire dept has a tanker truck with a 3208 cat. V-8 that starts really nice but now power. 55 mph max
The Cat 235 was the first new excavator we bought! It was a tough machine!
I had a 225 and a 235 back in the day, I sold the 235 to a guy in New Mexico, and the 225 is still kicking around, sold it to the neighbor 20+ years ago, old iron runs forever.
Ole Smokey Herky Jerky, my first job laying pipe I ran one of those for J.F. Wilkerson in Morrisville. I don't miss it.
We trenched and layer miles of pipe with our Cat 235 it was a great machine.
The old tracks could do with a touch of tension, other than that she’s like a brand new
Farmcraft101 needs this one.
Is this the same as his one. I'm beginning to think that John farm craft makes Xtra work for himself with that machine.
That little kitty Cat is like brand new. Clint would not have to put hardly any money into restoring that little beauty!
Old iron, nothing like it, fun video to watch. Thanks for the tag along video, enjoyed watching.
It looks like a good job for C&C Equipment if Clint would do it for Ryan. Running and looking like new again.
agree
It’s a win win on that old cat the right side track pins get lubricant and the reservoir get fresh oil all at the same time haha
makes me feel old since 1981 is my birth year! somedays I feel like the old 235 looks! lol
@@TheRealMrDiGGI'm lucky ,I'm still goin full throttle at 50 years lol.😂
@@TheRealMrDiGG Well !! Tried to find the date for your Dad's dozer ,,but No record of it !! Have a good day & Thanks for your time with Chris !! 👍👍👍👍👍

C&C can make that old girl look & run like showroom condition…just sayin’ 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was thinking the same thing. I am surprised Chris didnt get Clint on the phone
I'd love to see that!

That used to be THE excavator. Put many hrs on one in the 80s. Nothing better out there in its weight class.
she's a tough old girl
Sounds a whole lot better than the stuff now days
I broke out on a 235. ❤
Brings back memories of being waist deep in a swamp, helping walk a track back on a 40 ton Liebherr.
The worst part was that the operator who dropped the track knew he had a faulty tensioner before he went in there! 😒
Nice interesting video Chris.
another antique to add to your collection
As Andrew Camarata would say "some fresh paint would make that look freshly painted" 👌
that little dozer is sweet i bet it would still run up there with the big dozers
I can totally relate to those two old girls with their paint chipped, a few parts missing and hearts still raring to go!!
👏👏👍🤟👍👏👏
Good job guys thanks for sharing
That was too easy. I was all set to watch you pull the motors, the tracks, etc. 😆 🤣
That was good seeing that old equipment I did like your saying I'm going to use it. I didn't get this far being dumb.👍👍🙂🇨🇦
I guess this would consider classic equipment show.

Bring it to C&C and it comes back as new
Old but Strong and Slow LOL. SIX BITS SAYS IT LOW ON THE RED STUFF😊
Love the old. Steel. Awesome. Videos.
That was pretty cool . Thanks, Chris
You know you want the excavator!
Nothing like hearing old machine fire back to life!
What a great Comedy Duo, Love it guys.
If you watch at double speed it’s a pretty fast machine 🤣
lol

almost bulletproof

You say the word, I bet one of your fellow TH-camr's would have a home for it in Pennsylvania
MartyT in New Zealand would love to own her and fix it up.
I don't think any 235 was ever fast.
"Ran when parked"!!
Chris, i Think this Cat Excavator make a good Picture on Your Farm by the Dragline.. Shop this Cat and load him on a Long Loader. And the Brother from Betty . Two Machine for Your Museum. And You ❤️
Nothing wrong with a little oil leak . Helps with the dust
THANKS!
Water in the hydraulic fluid, is that why it is white/tan in color?
Love the video much love and respect thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
That thing is super cool
What a delightful character the Landfill Boss is
appreciate it
Like LD18 don't understand old dozers.. Let's see.. Betty, D7 both around 50 and the D6 well in her 40's... Cats don't die.. they have 9 lives... and that Komatsu was built when they built them to last.
Take it to Clint and the boys at C&C! Bring it back to life!
Ryan u need to sell the 235 cat to Chris for his farm ❤
This old girl should be treated to a makeover. Hello Clint!!!!
That old girl needs love
Clint can rebuild that 235 like new
Love the old girl Cat 235 Exc.
You do have fun. 😊👍🇳🇴
Those old Komatsu dozers still sell for $10k & upwards.
A little bailing wire and a tree branch plug and the old equipment is ready for work.

Like having a old Race Car 🏎 🏁
Remember while back you visited this land fill site chris you going to buy chris add to your collection of antique excavators if Brian wants to let it go ..
I think you need a old hydraulic excavator to go with the cable excavator
