It can be single or double knitted. The gauge is 1/2". Watch the video for more information or check out her blog

After seeing this video I order my S loom (60 inch) and got it in less than a week. They answer your questions so fast and clearly. Best customer service.
Kristen great review -love the versatility of this loom. I have an older S loom and the Universal came out about 1 year later. Everything you said about the company and the family is so spot on-they have great customer service and make a wonderful product. You are 6'1" wow ---I am 5'2"---love the setting for this informational videos. Thank you for keeping us informed
After i saw this I went to CinDWood loom I live way up in Northern British Columbia Canada I received my loom in just over 2 weeks, So i was thrilled when it arrived to say the least. And i am enjoying using it very much. Thank you Kristen for your review it really helped me decide which loom i wanted.
Ordered mine last Friday, it shipped today (Tuesday). Cindy was great handling my questions, I'll be waiting by the door with my yarn in hand. :) Thanks Kristen for the great review and thanks to Cindy for being so nice.
Hi! Yes there are gaps but that is because I intentionally slipped/skipped a peg. The blue pegs are only skipped when double knitting. The blanket you see is a flat panel and used all pegs on the loom. The pattern just skips specific pegs for that look. :)
Love the review! Great detail!
The S loom is a large panel afghan loom to make one large panel so you don't have to seam it together for a blanket. The knotty knitter long looms you will have to seam multiple panels together to match the width of an S loom panel. Other Knifty Knitter products are circle looms and would product even smaller width panels.
I like this review. I want to buy one of these looms one day. I love loom knitting.
I was going to get the 60' because I wanted to make a king size afghan but I like the portability of the 48'. I think if I get the 48' that I can sew a few panels to make a larger afghan. That would be less panels than using a long loom. Thanks for the review.
I understand this is a 1/2" gauge but do you know the distance between the sides? For example Knitting Board is variable from 1-3 cm. Thanks.
I have a DA Looms from last year, but this looks like an amazing loom and one I'll certainly recommend. So fun to hear that you're 6'1"...I'm 5'9"....gotta love a tall girl. I totally understand what you mean about the pick. The doubleknit scarf is beautiful...love the color.
You have to website the website for cindwoodcrafts. YT won't let me link to it in a comment.
I am considering this in the future since I have purchased other CinDWood looms. :)
I have been trying to do the honeycomb stitch on the S loom and it keeps looking crooked
What are the blue pegs there for?
This is a great review!
It looks like there are spaces in your blanket where you skipped the blue pegs. Is this part of the pattern or does that go away after you wash it? Thanks
I am really interested in this 1/2" gauge loom from CinDwood. Can I take any of my knifty knitter patterns and without changing anything make the item on this loom? I noticed you said your soap bag pattern could be made here without changing anything. What about a hat or scarf, slippers, etc.? I have been debating which size Universal loom to get and now after watching this video, I will buy the 48". But I am still not sure about the 1/2" gauge. Can you give me some information and your opinion. Should I buy the 5/8" or the 1/2" gauge?
Can you please show your bag that you used to keep or carry your looms in with a project on it
Hi, have you ever figured out which pegs to skip on the DA Loom to use it as a rake? I have the DA Loom but there are no blue pegs. Thanks for you videos!!
Good job as usual. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you Kristen. I really want to make a King size blanket and also there’s a video out there for the hooded cowl on the X loom. I’m still very new. Do I need both looms? Will I still receive the book and the knitting hook as well? Is your code still good for a discount! Thank you both Kristen & CinDwood.
I ordered the 5/8 gauge CinDwood universal loom but did not receive the book that you are showing.
It may be that they shipped it with it at the time. I'd contact them and ask though to make sure. if i were you :-)
What is the difference between Universal S Loom and Knifty Knitter?
Where do I get the S loom?
That was an interesting review..thanks and BTW liked the painting in the background!....Rgds...Laurie (Laurence) just started knitting with a round loom....
Just got this same loom...could you do a tutorial start to finish for differant adult afghans... you are easy to follow...I'm new at thisTYVM
Kristen thank you so much for this. I have been on the wall for a while if I should get this but, you have made up my mind to go ahead with my decision. I am really looking forward to to it. Again thanks.
PS -- Did not know you were that tall. I'm only 5' 3'. lol
Do you happen to have a tutorial on how you made or atleast started the afghan? Thanks

Woo hoo! I love to hear that! :-)
I wish I had seen this before I placed my order with DA. I'm not saying I'm having a bad experience with DA, but I received an email about my order and orders in general that did not start me off on the right footing. It left me wondering if I will get my order. Live and learn. I'll have to consider if I will get one of these also...
I'm sorry for your experience with them. I hope you were able to recoup something from Paypal. I understand that DA Looms web store is gone. i have no inside info at all. :-(
Wish I had known about this loom. Purchased a loom from DA LOOMS in Feb. It still has not arrived. They are ignoring my emails and now when I try their site it says CLOSED. They have my money and I have no loom.
Thx Kristen. What a great review. I am so excited. I have been waiting for this. Thanks. I would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter and a great Passover. :) I'll have to get this loom!
Thanks sooo much Kristen!!! Such a good review! :) Can't wait till there are some of your videos using this loom ;)
